The Harrier probe is in such an awkward position as well. The Il-78 is much easier to tank off than the S-3 though, the S-3 is really fussy about where you sit while the Il-78 doesn't really mind.

I would of course buy an M3 P-38 or Corsair. These guys have proven that they know what they're doing with the MiG-21 despite some remaining niggles. A MiG-23 is becoming ever more necessary for DCS though. As a foil to the F-5E and future F-4 modules the MG-21 doesn't really cut it in that environment. Just to say that if it were possible for M3 to begin work on a MiG-23 it would have a very positive effect on the multiplayer scene as it stands, more so, I would argue than a P-38 or Corsair.

Yeah pushing an aircraft to its limits is a luxury that people who own very common aircraft can do. In the UK most insurers won't touch you unless you agree never to use more than 40-ish% throttle I believe, even for spitfires whose spare parts are about as common as dirt (if slightly more expensive)

The MiG-21 has one. I thought quite superfluously at first but on the Normandy map it's pretty great. Sometimes the sun on that map is incredibly bright

Of these absolutely the F-104 OBVIOUSLY THE THUNDERCHIEF IS BETTER but yeah go for starfighter

The real baker of noodles is that it *WAS* sorted, the MiG-21 was feature complete and worked very well baring the odd minor performance issue in multiplayer. What happened?

I wouldn't buy it. My enjoyment of DCS comes strongly from the features one gets with ASM. DCS Thud though! Dream come true even on Caucasus or anywhere else it might take me.

The thought of using the Thud for its intended purpose in DCS makes me moist
