  1. Whatever it is I'll fly the MiG-19 against it
  2. ******-****-* matches up to Mirage-2000-5 :music_whistling:
  3. oh christ now the game is afoot! If *-*** is F-105 I'm going to go to Ecuador and I'm going to kiss you Obviously you can opt out of that but I will be buying at least two F-105 keys if I'm given half an opportunity.
  4. I missed that one thank you for that! I'm so ready for the MiG-19
  5. A-29 I believe but maybe if we all wish hard enough the MiG-19 will come out sooner
  6. Realistically speaking most of the things we do on startup in DCS would be done by someone else while we, the pilot, are thinking about other things in a briefing room Whatever level of preflight preparation the devs think is appropriate is alright by me although it would be nice to have the option to set everything to an off or neutral position by default for training purposes and a "QRA" setting where everything is set up ready for you to hit the button should you want it Not sure how much of that is possible in DCS as it stands anyway.
  7. Why not make it so that full stick deflection activates the AP disconnect like it does on the real aircraft? Pulling 40kg really isn't that much if it's a supported load i.e around a pivot like a stick. it's really not beyond any but the weakest people with a bit of effort. Certainly not anyone in the military.
  8. Oh no HEAVEN FORFEND that a developer can at any time and without warning dare to make civilian module What a travesty that would be
  9. Well I think this is a fantastic idea. I mean have these naysayers ever actually seen one of these planes do its thing IRL? It's INCREDIBLY impressive and technical. I can't believe anyone wouldn't want to fly such a crazy nimble aircraft
  10. This is GREAT. Day 1 purchase
  11. The rockeye should be vaaaaaaaaastly better than it is in DCS currently, we badly need an overhaul
  12. OK That would be a good way to do it yeah But the way it currently works the ground crew will always refuel or defuel you first and then add the stores, how would it work in the new system?
  13. The ground crew, when asked, would helpfully provide you with full external tanks. Which would be nice except they haven't been told that the mission requires a vertical takeoff and therefore a lightweight aircraft and, in this case empty or almost empty external fuel tanks.
  14. It doesn't, the fuel percentage is internal only.
  15. You could call this a feature request I suppose but it has occurred to me that a nice thing to be able to do would be to vertically takeoff from a FARP with empty external tanks to refuel in the air to begin a mission. How difficult would it be to include empty external tanks as a store?
  16. If it can be spawned at a FARP I'm good
  17. I think "insider" is understating it...
  18. Yeah I consider this to be decent added value I worry that price hikes can go too far but this is a better solution than the normandy + assets pack debacle
  19. It's not FBW so it should be quite conventional
  20. At launch what is reasonable to expect: Mk. 82s ... Not much else Fine for me to be honest!
  21. I'm just happy we're getting this system at all to be honest
  22. Because unlike the CBU-87/97 type weapons which can be programmed from within the cockpit and BL775 which can be set by the groun crew the Rockeye has a fixed (4 second I think?) delay from arming to deploying which makes it somewhat limited in the things you can do with it. It's perfectly lethal if you get it right but it's not as flexible as the more advanced weapons.
  23. Cluster weapons are a perfect match for the harrier given the limited available weapon stations what with the reliance on external tanks and all sorts of other equipment so I find it peculiar that the USMC didn't adopt the BL775 if they were permitted. I guess they were content with the conventional bombs and mavericks
  24. Disappointed to hear that, the Rockeye is quite limited compared to CBU-87/97 type things. Not entirely surprising though. Can the newer AV8Bs use CBU-87/97 type weapons?
