6800 I found was out of stock thought it was to good to be true. So cheapest 6800 is actually £1000. guess I’ll keep looking and waiting found a 3060 ti for £700 but looking at the chart doesn’t really seem like a step forward enough to warrant the change. Thanks for the advice about the cpu btw. A 5600X can be picked up for a fairly cheap price.

Hi lefuneste so looking back on this page you say about installing Kegetys mod before installing 3dmigoto mod. Ive tried to install kegetys mod but dcs wont load because of errors, i downloaded what i can see is the latest version 2.7.0.4625 , does anyone know of a newer version for latest OB. edit: I've found lastest Kegetys mod and have dcs running now and installed your update for Kegeteys mod, sadly 3d migoto vr mod still doesn't show when i use shift + F7.

I can get a Ryzen 9 5900x for £490 a 6800 gpu is £680 which is the cheapest I’ve found. So £200 more but if I found noticeable improvement it’s something I would consider but I read such conflicting reports some saying It wouldn’t be worth me changing a 1080ti, would like to know what would give me more of a performance boost for VR. Jumping to a 5900x cpu or buying say a Rx 6800 gpu

So looking at this situation now. And being reluctant pay pay £1000 on a gpu. I’m considering selling some stuff of mine I have an old Ryzen 7 2700x cpu I currently use a Ryzen 7 3700x and an X470 main board. i also have an old oculus headset. If I sell all this I wouldn’t need to put much more together to get myself a Ryzen 5900x and compatible board. Im hoping I would see a marked improvement in VR performance with a step forward in processor performance.

ok, so looking even 3070s are fetching over £900 I See. part of me is thinking will the Vulkan implementation bring acceptable performance gain to make it worth waiting. But this still could be a way off.

Hi as title suggests. Think my 1080 ti 11gb is holding me back. Since the new clouds and maps I’m starting to struggle to get the performance in vr whilst maintaining what I consider acceptable levels of visual quality. I don’t want to spend a £1000 on a new graphics card. So just wanted to know from peoples experience what card I can get that will give me an improvement but not cost me £1000. RTX 2080 ti is coming in at £1000. There’ are alternatives that are cheaper but just want to know if they would give me a performance step? Advice and experience is welcome. Im using HP reverb G1 Ryzen 7 3700x overclocked to 4.3ghz 32gb ddr4 ram at 3200 ghz

Could someone with the hind just confirm if VR pilot has been added on early release? Thanks.

Im not able to communicate in the viper anymore on hard comms, is there a bug atm in 2.7? Ive just run a repair but still have the same problem, I'm going through the procedures I've always used for comms in the viper and they have always previously worked.

Did real F-86F Sabre radar assisted gunsight "calculated" lead?

Hi do you have a link to your mod? -
Too "glassy" and reflective water.

I think the water textures are back after the last update. Looks that way too me, I can see the textures at altitude now. -
The F14 is comparable with the rest I get 45fps 90% of the time however I’ve probably lost 5fps since the new clouds release

The first image would look alright if it was a lake maybe. But it’s not a lake. I’m with you please put it back to how it was. -
If you are a VR user I wouldn’t bother. Others may have different views, for me it’s unplayable.
-
Not for me no.

Sorry I don’t agree I think the water effects were great before. To see breaking waves at altitudes just made you feel more like your were flying over the ocean.
-
I thought something was wrong with the water. It is not flat but the wave effect seems to be less prominent. Adding wind used to show more breaking waves the sea looks very still now with wind and high water settings. I only use VR so I’m not sure with 2d.

Would have expected VR to have been checked more before release.
