Heatblur team. Will we experience some of the added features on the F4 coming over to the F14? I noticed some of the features in the special menu settings where adjustments can be made like stick deflection adjustments and stick force blending. Also from many of the videos I’ve watched your reworked jester model seems more interactive and sometimes instigating conversation with the pilot. I’m sure there are multiple new features coming to the F4 as being the newer module that’s just progression, and I’m looking forward to the F4. But being such a fan of the F14 it would be great to see the big fighter get some of this new treatment. I’m sure many on these forums would agree with me that we wouldn’t necessarily expect some of these features to come at no expense as that would be unreasonable. A tomcat 2.0 upgrade maybe? Anyway Here’s to the success of the F4.

Bought it today. Gave in, the fact it’s releasing with a pilot in cockpit was what done it in the end for me. I’m really looking forward to it.

Without wanting to sound like a broken record I’ll need to see about VR performance before making a purchase on this map. I really hope it’s good I’d like an alternative to Caucasus region.

If you switch to STT and go for a single target after firing missiles in TWS before the TWS shots have gone Pitbull, does the aircraft’s radar still give guidance information to those missiles, or do they loose track?

Got a 60nm kill v a Veteran skill level F4 other day. Fired from roughly 40k feet and nearly Mach 1. Height I find makes a big difference with long range shots. AIM54C I find more accurate against the smaller targets than the A.

As in the resolution in dcs settings menu? I’m interested to try this I didn’t realise about this. But I thought it just defaulted back to your VR resolution whatever you select in settings?

Feel like this was a necessary step for ED with so many 4gen western fighters in DCS world now, and I have to say I’m really looking forward to getting a proper Mig29 I’ve wanted this to happen for a long time. It’s going to be a really interesting airplane.

Tomcat is difficult to refuel in midair but not impossible, I’d got reasonably good with her, but left the module for sometime certainly hadn’t tried refuelling for probably over a year, really started getting back into the Tomcat this last month and I tried refuelling again and I was awful, in fact I couldn’t do it at night with NVGs and tanker was in an orbit pattern. I gave up, and I decided to practice with no winds and tanker flying in a straight line and I’ve managed to do it again, I’ve starting to get proficient again with it, it does require constant throttle adjustment once plugged in. With the S3 you seem to be so close to the back of the tanker it requires immense concentration, but it’s doable. My next task is to get good at night and in a turn. Someone has mentioned about VR. I use VR I find yes it’s good for perception, I also have a long extension on my TM warthog. This does really help with precision as well.

Once the F4 is released will you start looking at the pilot body in the F14, lacks movement when applying toe brakes and would be nice to see some animations similar to the F15E by Razbam. Are animations something you are looking at creating for your modules.

terrible VR stutters after latest patch in the F15E hopefully its isolated to that aircraft, checking the others now.

Won’t get to my pc for a few days has anyone noticed the problem has been fixed with mega frame drops in vr on south Atlantic map but only happens when at low level?

Probably the best DCS newsletter I’ve ever seen. A full Mig-29 module, an F6F Hellcat, pacific ww2 operations, recreating operation Desert Storm. It’s like a dream come true all I’ve wanted since flight simming. I really hope we get a decent Tornado and it doesn’t get cancelled and for me then it's going to be perfect.
