  1. This is the most "technical" mission of any that I know of. It puts almost every VFR flying skill to the test simultaneously. You can't just fly the route assigned (which you must do precisely), but you also have to fly the route according to a speed to meet certain gates at certain times. And you have to do all of this remaining low to the ground. It is highly rewarding if it can be done successfully, and I can't tell you how many times I've specified that this mission will be difficult. There's a table that you can print off to make it easier to reference your route to (a larger version of what's in the briefing), and I even put together a comprehensive video demonstrating a successful flight in this mission. If you need help, then ask for it. If it's to difficult (which nothing against you or anyone that finds it difficult, because IT IS) then skip it. But what is unacceptable is you flaming away at this mission because of whatever reason. It's hard, I know that, but it's far from impossible.
  2. Issue addressed, see here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3737317&postcount=14
  3. Checked the mission, and the Mi-8 for the MiG-15 campaign does NOT lift off. It does for the F-86 campaign though. This was quite odd as the triggers and sequences are the exact same for both campaigns. After shifting a few of the spawn locations, triggers, and the landing spot for the Mi-8 a meter or so, the helo now takes off again. So it's fixed internally and will make it's way out in the next patch. Thanks for the report as always guys!
  4. I am more than happy to help you with mission progression if that's what you're asking for. But to berate my campaign because you're having trouble with some missions is really uncalled for. This campaign has been available for nearly two years, and in that time, DCS has gone through countless patches and updates. Things are bound to break, and changes made to the base simulator often have unknown implications to some of the products for it. A.I. for example, has changed numerous times and have some aircraft act way more aggressively then before. While other times A.I. won't even depart their airports. You're right, don't engage the hill then. Intel could get things wrong and not correctly identify the threats at an A.O. Luckily, you don't have to hit the hill as the objective changes. So don't attack it. And if the enemy fly's over the hill, don't follow him. You have to fight differently and can't always go in Rambo style. I'll gladly look at the bomber mission. Do you stay over your departing airport like you're briefed to? If you travel to far outside of it (towards the massive A-A engagement, you'll trigger them to engage you) And the radar mission, how high are you climbing? You are specifically briefed to stay as low as possible. I was thinking about making a mission that was unlike anything I've ever seen before in DCS, and this is actually one of my favorites. Here's a video I made about this mission, because yes ... I did expect that some people would have trouble with it. If you are flying at tree top level, and are still getting detected, then you might be off the path. But if you are certain you're still on the path, and still being told you're flying to high, and your engine intake has a few birds nests in it ... then yes, that would be a bug. And I would be more than happy to look into any error that might have crept its way into the mission.
  5. :) Thanks dresoccer4 Overkill would probably be an understatement with an F/A-18. haha. I would imagine that some of the triggers for a few of the missions wouldn't work properly as there are conditions specific to aircraft systems or switches in the "old plane" cockpits (those wouldn't translate over to a newly added aircraft)
  6. CCRP style bombing from high alt in a fighter that only has forward looking iron sights would be next to impossible. My question for you is, why do you have to bomb the hill? Hasn't a new threat presented itself? Get rid of that weight.
  7. And you're going to flame me for grammatical errors? I am not a writer, nor will I ever claim to be one, I just wanted to create a story that was different and fun.. When you say "stretched" i can only image that you're referring to the premise of the story as a whole. When I created this campaign, there were no WWII units yet released, only modern day era stuff. So I had to come up with a unique story line to make these Korean Era fighters have any sort of meaning to be flown in that environment. So yes, it's total fiction, and I would have hoped that watching the trailer to the campaign would have signified this.
  8. Thank you for the report, I'm assuming this is mission 8.6 for the MiG-15. I'll look into it.
  9. Great news! :) glad you got it. If you've got any issues with the next mission .... don't worry, you're not alone, it's a hard one! i made a video demonstrating it, so feel free to give it a view if you need some help. And as always, ask any questions if you've got 'em. Per your second question, i've got something in the works but it's a long long way off. Nothing public about it yet.
  10. Bumping for recognition. Any progress made on this to remedy the issue with Normandy and Ref LOLA?
  11. Glad to hear you're enjoying the campaign! - Apache600
  12. Well alright! Once the sound has gone away for me, I could never get it back without exiting the mission. Very odd how doing different things like that has gotten it back for you. Thanks for sharing that!
  13. Unfortunately that one is beyond my control, and is actually a bug with the F-86. It's been reported, but not sure about any progress made towards it. Appreciate the report!
  14. Just to clarify, you're saying that the aircraft audio, as in the sound of the engine rpm, cuts out?
  15. Running through this mission, I stumbled open the issue as well. Only on the F-86 side. It is very odd as I don't have a particular trigger firing at that moment. I'll be investigating this. Thanks again for the heads up guys!
  16. Every Viggen has its day Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3302376/ Here's a simple mission for the Viggen that allows you to test your navigation skills, as well as practice all the weapon systems. Targets exist at certain waypoints along the route. There are also targets outside of the route (green boxed slides in the briefing images) For those you’d have to build your own waypoints. LOLA coordinates are provided. Radio Freqs: Airport and AWACS on starting Default radio channel. Update Log: v1.1 : Updated atmospheric conditions for new cloud system. Added 2 Cold and 2 Hot ground start aircraft on a road.
  17. Very cool! Yeah ... IFR and rotary wing = not fun time. I've got something in the works, but not ready to say anything more than that yet :)
  18. Thanks Jester! Glad to hear that you've been enjoying it, and that mission 4 is a favorite of yours :P What is it that you fly in real life?
  19. :( are you able to fly other missions (maybe in other campaigns, or other single player missions) without any problem? And have you tried doing a "repair" on DCS? You can usually find it under the Start menu -> Eagle Dynamics -> Repair Open Beta (or whatever you might be running)
  20. My apologies for not getting back to you. Out on a long work trip. Is there a crash log that is associated with this, or is it just going straight to desktop?
  21. Hey there tamper! Sure have. This here is the FC3 panel, versions 1 and 2 (specifically this thread shows off the 2nd batch of FC3 panels) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=165291 I have something new also, that I haven't shown yet. Just haven't had time to really put together a nice series of pictures for it.
  22. It's something I've considered, but know only as much as the rest of us about what MAC will really be like. Once released though, I planned on discussing the possibility with ED.
  23. it "is" possible to do something of what you speak. Even without going into the .lua scripting. Though it will be pretty rudimentary, and you HAVE to be very good and organized with your triggers. I've done something like a scoring system in a few of my missions. One of which is public right now. Check it out, and feel free to dig into the mission editor and look at the craziness of it. If you do something along these lines with the triggers would suggest making the numbers smaller. Instead of "500 coins" make it "5 coins". https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3438769&postcount=4 - Apache600
  24. I have a MP mission where there's a small Blue fleet (Stennis, Tarawa, and Normandy) with AV-8B's spawning on the Tarawa and F-18's spawning on the Stennis. I want to restrict them from having the Aim-9x, and Aim-120's. So for each of the three ships, I remove those from the supply list in the advanced tabs. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work, as those weapons are still available to them in the mission. I know I'm doing it right, because there's a similar fleet (2 Kuznetsovs and a destroyer) for the red team, where I restrict all the R-27's (except for the R model) for the Su-33's and this restriction DOES work properly for them. Anyone else experiencing this? - Apache600
  25. After that, it was on to the races! We lost in the 6 mile drag race. A bunch of crap if you ask me. Me pretending to be someone important. I didn't fool anyone We lost the race earlier. Probably because the water is a big TRAITOR! Let's SHOOT IT and show it who's boss (50 cal and suspected 20mm) Onward! It's actually scary to see the amount of water this thing moves. Last night with the planes on the deck All these tie-down holes are painted grey, except for this one. When Bin Laden was brought to this ship after his fateful run in with the special forces, this is the tie-down he bled into. Final fly-off the day before pulling into San Diego Hope you enjoyed the pictures folks! I have tons of others, and plenty of video, just didn't want to jam up this whole forum with the massive upload this was. - Apache600
