If no other help is available, and you are willing to work through a translator, I'd be willing to help you out. Sorry, I only speak English (and probably not all that correctly either). I do have 500 hours flying a C-208 Caravan though, (PT-6 engine) for a Fedex feeder.

Those are study sims, the SU-27 has simple FC3 aircraft systems

Check to see if you have the "Engine stop lever" bound to an axis, and also have "Sync cockpit controls with HOTAS" in the misc options setting. If so, I would turn it off. -
Would be great, but unfortunately no way it'll be happening. Of the 3 that were built, only one left exists. And that one is suspended on cables in a museum. The other 2 crashed. It would be really cool, no doubt, but there's not nearly enough information about the aircraft to make an accurate model :/

WOW! that's precise. looking awesome. Have you worked with acrylic before? I haven't done any work with CNC machines, but I've read that you don't want to high of an RPM, or else the bit will just melt the acrylic. I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here, but I'm really looking forward to seeing the results.

IT'S DONE! Collage picture 4 Top Left: Connecting all the break-out bread boards onto the pins that go into the Leo Bodnars Middle Left: Mounting the Leo Bodnars on their board Bottom Left: It's all hooked up. Time to test it! This actually took a few days, because there's always a few gremlins when testing. Turns out I made a mistake in my schematic, so that needed fixing with a few of the swtiches. There were a few dead buttons (really annoying, but an easy fix) But the biggest problem that I had was that the Target Designator joystick's Y Axis was shot. I had to replace the joystick which was NOT easy to get to.) Middle Top: There she is, tested and put together. Top Right: Another angle Middle Right: Artsy Macro shot. Ok, not really. I suck at art. Bottom Right: How she looks when hooked up and ready to go! Thanks everyone for following along. This one is ready to be shipped off to its customer! Looking forward to hearing what they have to say about it. - Apache600

Done and done. If you couldn't tell already ... I'm pretty keen on the stuff that Belsimtek has released :) I'm looking forward to flying your newest creation!

Or a prescription for AMAZING!!! ... ok yeah, probably not. haha And you're welcome, glad I could help you out. I hope this cleared up some of the confusion for you. I've had a ton of practice with the trigger system lately, so if you have any other questions, feel free to ask! Good luck with your NTTR mission - Apache600

I don't like using "Continuous" with smoke markers. When I was testing one of the missions for my campaign, I had a smoke marker on Continuous, and I got some massive slow-downs in the Sim when the smoke was ON. I attributed this to the idea that for every second the smoke was on it was starting a new smoke marker on top of the existing one. So you'd have 300 smoke markers in one spot before they would start timing out. After changing my triggers to what you saw above, the slow-down went away. There is certainly a way, actually a few, to make it do what you'd like. It's gonna be a little messy with the triggers, but we could get it to work. I am sure that scripting a LUA of some sort could probably do it as well, but I don't like working with LUA, so I'll keep all my stuff to the standard mission editor options. Ok, after a little of trial and error, I got it working. We'll be using the "Switched Condition" Type to make this work. If you want, I can write it down like I did last time. But to make it easier, and for you to mess around with it, I'll just attach the mission file here. Download this and put it in your saved missions folder along with your other missions. What I have is a tank sitting just outside the zone. He's there to initially observe the smoke. In the first 10 seconds, a plane flies through the zone activating the flag, then I cancel the flag a second later (the smoke stays on for 5 minutes) I do this 3 times with 3 separate airplanes just to show you that this works. But what if a unit stays in the zone for longer than 5 minutes? At the 20 minute mark, the tank drives into the zone and activates it at about the 21 minute mark. He then sits inside the zone for a bit. After 5 minutes elapses, the blue smoke turns to green, showing that the trigger is working. after that 5 minutes, it turns red. The next trigger, which should NOT fire because the tank leaves the zone, is Orange smoke. There's Another plane flies through the zone at the 31 minute mark (while the tank is still in the area) showing that it does not interrupt the current clock and turn the smoke back to blue. I highly recommend using the Time Acceleration, or this will be the most boring test ever to sit through. Smoke Tests.miz

I recommend using the "Once" trigger for smoke markers. If a unit enters your trigger area, the smoke will start as will its 5 minute timer. It won't matter if the unit stays or leaves immediately. The smoke will stop in 5 minutes. If the unit stays in the area for 6 minutes, the smoke will still stop after it reached it's 5 minute timer. There's a workaround for this. Let's say you want smoke to be going the entire time a unit is inside your area. Try this in Mission Editor: Type: 1 once Name: Unit in Zone w/ smoke Conditions: Unit Inside Zone Unit: Unit A Zone: Smoke Zone Actions: Flag On Flag 50 Type: 1 Once Name: Flag 50 smoke Conditions: Flag is True Flag: 50 Actions: Smoke Marker Zone: Smoke Marker Altitude: 1 Color: whatever is your fancy :P Type: 1 Once Name: Flag 50 smoke continue 1 Conditions: Time Since Flag Flag: 50 Seconds 300 (that's 5 minutes) Actons: Smoke Marker Zone: Smoke Marker Altitude: 1 Color: same as before, unless you want to get CRAZY and mix it up. but that's just CRAZY! Repeat this "Continue" section for as long as you think the unit might be in the area ... plus a little extra Add an additional 300 seconds to the "Time Since Flag" for every repeated trigger Type: 1 once Name: Unit leaving zone Conditions: Unit Outside Zone Unit: Unit A Zone: Smoke Zone + Time since Flag Flag: 50 Time: 1 Actions: Flag Off Flag 50 This should be able to keep the smoke on for however long the unit is inside the zone. And then eventually turn off after the unit leaves. With this though, once the unit leaves the area, there's no turning the smoke back on for this zone.

Smoke Marker will not work as well as you'd like (if you're using the regular trigger's and not LUA Script) Once a smoke marker is "lit" it will burn for 5 minutes. You can't shut it off. What you can do though is the Signal Flare, and set it to " TYPE - Continuous action". So if a unit is "inside a zone" you can have Flag 20 ON. when the unit is "Outside of the zone" you can turn Flag 20 OFF. and then have a separate trigger that states Continuous action with Flag 20 ON as Signal Flare. Note, if you don't use "continuous action" then when the unit enters the zone, you will only get one Signal Flare to fire. When you set it to Continuous, then the Signal Flare fire once every second for the entire time the unit is in the zone.

MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Hey folks, currently there are no known issues with the integration process. It just takes time. This campaign is introducing two new things to the DCS DLC package. 1) Custom skins for these two aircraft and 2) two different campaigns being sold together in one file. Neither of these have been done with a DLC package before. What would happen when someone may own the F-86 and not the MiG-15 (or vice-versa)? The installer program needs to be written in a way to handle these different variables. That in turn that reflects how the menu on the title screen of the Sim handles this. Also, when I turned the campaign over to them back in April, I had no idea what the length of the que line was that I was getting into. These guys are busy to say the least. Since then, there have been 1.5 and 2.0 updates that were ahead of me in line. The P-51 High-Stakes campaign, The SA342Gazelle (also with 1.5 and 2.0 and Steam integration), the unfortunate issue that came up with Starway's Caucasus Texture DLC, and the F-5 presale. I probably couldn't have jumped into the que line at a worse time if all I had hoped for was a speedy release. My hat's off to them. I think they're doing a really good job with their updates and releases, and Matt (Wags) has also been keeping me in the loop as well. More then that though, he hasn't kicked me to the curb or given me the cold shoulder for pestering him every week about the campaign :) I am as eager as anyone to see this release. And I really appreciate everyone's patience so far! -
so ... a promotion for Ikarus software you say. Ok, what is Ikarus software? Is this something that you could port over to an ipad, Surface, or 2nd monitor?

This is #1 on my wishlist!!!!

Collage 3 update. Getting so close to the finish line. One thing I'm not really showing is my schematics. Sorry, gotta keep somethings an in-house secret. But really, it's not that secret anyway. I derive my own matrix off of this helpful guide from the Leo Bodnar site (It's why I make those breakout bread boards) http://www.leobodnar.com/shop/index.php?main_page=popup_image_additional&pID=204&pic=3&products_image_large_additional=images/2BU0836A_04.jpg. Top Left: All the boards are ready for wiring. Middle Left: Ready, Set, SOLDER! Here i'm also cutting the wires to their specific length needed to reach their specific breakout bread boards Bottom Left: This is tedious, and takes a long time. You can see the other boards leaning against the wall, that have already been wired. Top Right: With the boards wired, it's time to connect them to their respective breakout bread boards Middle Right: You can see I'm working with both control panels at the same time. Might as well do one right after the other, so that the nuances with one are fresh in my memory for the other. Bottom Right: Working on the back of the control panels now. At this point I finished wiring 2/3's of the control panel to the breakout boards. You can see it gets quite messy with the amount of wiring going on. This is the backside of the angled board that holds the targeting designation and whatnot. - Apache600

Fantastic update! You will not be seeing any complaints about this from me, ever! HA! and everytime someone comes over and see's this project, she'll be telling this story. What kind of panels / projects do you hope to do with this thing? What's the smallest mm size detail that this should be able to do? I hope it can do something along the lines of the small text for button labels and whatnot. Looking forward to your future updates!

Everything is in Russian? Even the main menu options? I might just try a clean install of the STABLE version of DCS http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/ Click the middle, Orange one. Also, the SU-25T is the aircraft that comes free with the download. The plain ol' SU-25 is a separate purchasable aircraft. The most striking difference between the two is that the SU-25T has the large TV looking screen on the right side in the cockpit. Just like rick said, try doing a repair. You'll have to go to the start menu and find your DCS folder that way. Or do an uninstall, and re-install with the version I suggested. Best of luck!

I'm looking forward to hear what you have to say about it! I've been contemplating those 6040 CNC machines, but hear far to much frustration from them to want to purchase one. What software package did you get with this? Looks like all you really need is that VCarve pro. But not sure if you need Mach 3 or something like that along with it.

MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Negative, the files in the dropbox are not going to be part of the campaign download. I didn't want to make the file size any larger than needed. One of the things the dropbox will provide is the enlarged Mission Briefing/Flt Plan pages for all the missions in both the campaigns. Those files add up to 320+ MB. -

Help, Major Video Problem

I wonder if DCS Repair might reset the defaults. Go to the Start Menu, and find DCS that way. There should be an option for Repair there. -

Chris over at Mudspike.com posted his preview of the campaign! Check it out here: http://www.mudspike.com/the-museum-relic-dcs-world-campaign/ I've also posted an YouTube tutorial for Old School Instruments and Navigation. This will help anyone who wants to learn the Radio's and NDB's for the Mig-15 and/or F-86. [ame= ] [/ame] - Apache600
