might be something as simple as pull and HOLD the trigger for a moment. Give that a shot (pun intended! HAHA... ok that was lame)

I made the announcement earlier this week. Check it out. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=164322 More info to come very soon

.... I can't even begin to imagine the possibilities. wow

properly? I don't. But what I do is I bind the bottom thumb push spinny button (technical ... i know) on the throttle quadrant, to the "w" or brake key. When I want to initiate a turn, I twist the stick in the direction I want to go (rudder) and then push the brakes. That will only activate the brake on the side that your are wanting to turn to. To go straight again, just release the brakes. Lead the turn a bit, It isn't instantaneous.

Noticed this with the external views. At certain angles, the landing light is see through.

MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
What's wrong with the PDF files? Are they not loading for you? They seemed ok for me when I clicked the links. They are large files (~20 mb each) so it may take some time to load. This is a single player campaign only. The issue with a "Co-op campaign" is that it would have to be done on the multiplayer servers, and there's no hierarchy of mission progression as you'd have to load each mission individually. -
MiG-15/F-86 Campaign Announcement
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
Yes, this will be payware DLC. A basic background will be included in the, soon to be released, trailer. In the mean time though, I've added links with the introduction stories for the aircraft to the first post here. -
The Campaign has been released! http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2866133&postcount=41 Here's a link to the screenshots for the campaign that are on the DCS site: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/screenshots/708/ Official Campaign Trailer: Thank you everyone for your support! The original Announcement Post is Below After many months of hard work, I am pleased to announce that I will soon be releasing "The Museum Relic". A campaign for both the Mig-15 and F-86. This is actually two separate campaigns. You can choose to fly the Mig-15 (which has other Soviet units as its friendlies). Or the F-86 (which has NATO allies). Both campaigns follow the same story line. Features of The Museum Relic Campaign: 22 Story driven missions for each campaign. Over 400 lines of custom voice recording for each campaign from 17 different voice actors. (Total of nearly 600 voice recordings for both campaigns. Many recordings needed to be campaign specific for differences in Imperial and Metric values, as well as Unit types). 160+ pages of briefings and detailed flight plan pages. A fun story that gives the Mig-15 and F-86 a place in this fictional modern day setting. A custom made skin/livery for both aircraft, as seen in the pictures. The introduction stories can be found at these two links below. The stories are basically the same, with the main differences being the pictures. The story continues on in the campaign through the briefing pages before each mission. Mig-15 story: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ogajdkasshf1qr/Mig15%20Intro.pdf?dl=0 F-86 story: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1vhet1f4aohdpsk/F86%20Intro.pdf?dl=0 The Museum Relic will be available soon in a DCS store near you! Mudspike's Preview of the campaign: http://www.mudspike.com/the-museum-relic-dcs-world-campaign/ YouTube tutorial for Old School Instruments and Navigation that I created. This will help anyone who wants to learn the Radio's and NDB's for the Mig-15 and/or F-86. Per the post from Wags in the "DCS World 1.5 and 2.0 Discussion" thread last Friday. It's coming soon! - Apache600

It's been discontinued for a while. The databases are still kept current though. That's just because newer versions have come out. The 530 replaced this, and I believe that is discontinued now as well, replaced by the 600 and 700 series now (touch screen GNS) Never flown with those things yet. I have flown a ton with the GNS 430 and love it. I know it like the back of my hand. It's still very prevalent in GA aircraft throughout the US.

A-37 sounds like it would be a really fun aircraft to put into this sim. I think we would need some more Era similar ground vehicles and settings first though. Real world story on the T-37. You don't know the word LOUD until you're around one of these. I used to run an FBO in Oshkosh about 10 years ago. Had one of these pull up on my ramp during the airshow. Behind double pane, sound proof, glass ... I had to just hang up the phone with who I was talking too, because I couldn't hear a single word anymore, and needed both hands to shove cover my ears.

IL-78 Honeybadger
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
That is awesome! haha. I wish I could change the title to "IL-78 Honeybadger and Friends!" It would be fun to compile some of these kinds of photos from different aircraft -
I really like the X-55 I'm using .... but I also don't use ANY of the Saitek software. Don't really see the point when you can just bind it all in game. Peripheral software has always given me problems.

Where were you a few months ago!?!?! hahaha. really appreciate you posting this and offering your services!

IL-78 Honeybadger
Apache600 replied to Apache600's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
More pictures ... from today's encounter with the Honeybadger. Picture 1: As you can see, the thrust from the burning reminant of the #3 engine is enough to keep her straight and level. Look at the guy in the nose ... no fu(*s given. lol Picture 2: Out of ammunition .... but not really, i still have my own aircraft. time to jam it into the tail Picture 3: That escalated quickly!!! (this is actually the second hit. The first one I wasn't quick enough to snap a picture. But i hit the tail, pilot blacked out for a bit, airplane got stuck and then flung off. Honeybadger was not amused and kept on truckin) Picture 4: I WIN!!!!!!! .... however all 3 hydraulics (main, alt, and utility) leaked out 2 minutes later. so really, it's a draw. Honeybadger got the last laugh i guess. Until next time!!! -
Campaign Progression Problems?
Apache600 replied to Sabre-TLA's topic in User Created Missions General
Hey Sabre, What I've done in my campaign is on Mission start, Flag 1 is active. And in the goals, Flag 1 gives the player 50 points. That way, there is no chance that they can go "backwards" in campaign progression. -
This! Maybe have a clickable option for types of maintenance available, and munitions (which already exists at the airports)

If ever in a real life emergency ... this is the plane I wanna be in. Taking out 3 engines on this (as well as on the IL-76) and the plane will fly off to the sunset after having descended to it's new Single Engine operating altitude. Not shown is a shredded rudder too. What I'll do to remedy this issue is set "Explode Unit" on something like "unit life less than 75%" but I just thought I'd share this as I figure it's not what was intended.

I had to remove Hueys from some of my missions, because they took more shots than a Cruiser. Black Hawk is a nice replacement :P

Need some help for a parameter value
Apache600 replied to jef32's topic in User Created Missions General
Without having purchased the UH-1, i can only go off of what you tell me. So we need a couple things. I'm assuming this is a 3 way switch maybe? Regardless though we need to fill out the values to this: X:Cockpit Argument in Range Argument = Min Val = Max Val = The Argument number you need should be to the right most part of the line for BAT-SWITCHER-PTR, in a different color. If this is a 3 way switch. And you want the trigger to activate when the switch is UP. then you have to put a value of Min = 0.2 (any range above zero should work) Max = 1.0 3 way switches have ranges of -1 = down. 0 = middle, 1 = up. Or so I have guessed. In "conditions" you'll put X:Cockpit Argument in Range. and then fill in the appropriate values. Then you can put whatever trigger you'd like in Action. Hope this helps -
well I'll be. I was on the right path. Sure enough! The steps I took to get it working: --Hold toe brakes down, --while holding toe brakes down .... pull out parking brake (hold the parking brake until it's fully extended). --while holding parking brake pulled out (and toe brakes are still held down) release toe brakes. -- once toe brakes are back to their normal position (about 1 1/2 seconds after release), you can release your hold on the parking brake and it'll stay engaged. To release the parking brake, just depress the toe brakes. I would say Sid's way is quicker. Mine is closer to how i do it in the real world Good find there Sid!

i thought for a moment that, like the brake systems on some aircraft, that the brakes had to be depressed and held down before setting the parking brake .... tested that theory, no luck here.
