I have to give the big girl a vote. Never thought of the 109s or spitfires as the best looking planes of WWii.

Unsure of the engineering reasons for doing it this way but you can tell if the drop tank is empty when the rear tank level falls below the 240l mark.

This. Do you really want to be flying just the P51 for the next 5+ months while all these FW190s and BF109ks are zooming around.

Flashbacks to Aces of the Pacific while reading this thread. Love to see the F4U and F6 in DCS with some Pacific theaters. Throw in a P38/F4F and the mainstay fighters for the US would be pretty much covered. F4U would also benefit with a Korean Map if it was ever made since it saw action there.

Dora if you're only choosing one right now. We know it will be coming out in one month and who really knows when the 109 will really ship. Realistically both of these frames we're at the far end of their lifespan with increasingly better planes on both fronts when they entered production.

My three year old would run around the house screaming "Altitude, Altitude, pull up, pull up" and my wife would give me the evil eye. She knew exactly where he got that from ...

Not sure if it belongs here but have they set what the functions are key bound to yet and will it be in the manual? I've got the other games printed out (blackshark, a10, etc) but I'd like to try to set my joystick up with a P51/FW190 similar setup with the Target software.

Quick question. Are they doing away with the Alpha Access for the Dora now? I figured they would have to get rid of it now with giving us a choice of planes. Before it was pretty easy to figure out who was getting the Dora.

I think this will satisfy the vast majority. Good job ED! :thumbup: It would be great if we could upgrade our tiers but I'm sure you've got enough on your plate. Just glad I can get the Dora/109K4 now and wait till the P47 comes out to get it.

If you read back alittle bit I asked about this and they said this is not how it is going to work. We have to pay full price for any releases that we weren't given in the new structure. I would of been perfectly fine paying $20 for future releases of the planes we missed. They are stating that if you pledged for $40=$20 Mustang/$20 Dora/Free map value. $60-79 pledge=you get $20 Mustang/$20 Dora/$20 109K value. It works its way up threw the pledge tiers this way.

Not $20 value since I already have the P51 and have no use for a third copy. I can live with buying the rest for a discount but I'll definitely be skipping some and waiting for sales on all others if this is the case. I was well prepared for giving up planes but I'm not happy being saddled with another copy of P51 or no discounts on future products.

In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable. However, the restructured system still provides an excellent value for your backing contribution. For example: each aircraft will retail at $49.99; however, you will receive the item instead at only $20.00. This is in addition to other items such as the Normandy map ($20 contribution and above) and other perks as the backing contribution level rises. I understand this to mean that we will be able to buy each item we aren't receiving at $20 instead of the list price of $50. That's a pretty big thing if we're getting shorted 4 planes and I really hope that's the case.

I'll live with it but I'd much more prefer to have the Dora plus choice of one more plane. Really don't need a third P51 copy and I'm sure a lot of us here already have it also.

Another thing that helped me was to watch the youtube tutorials from other players. If you have a laptop or second source of internet access you can sometimes fly along with them in missions pausing where needed to you fully understand what they are talking about. DCS has an active pause so that you can do things while everything else is frozen which help beginners a lot.

Looked at getting it but I'll hold off. The cheaper version didn't even include a FW190 but the BF109s were tempting. I'll stick with DCS since we'll have some great British/Americans planes to fly soon enough.

If you pledged more than $40 for DCS WWii you will be getting the Dora on August 5. I'm sure they won't mind if you decide to buy another license but you will be getting one for backing the previous KS project. Nobody knows yet if they are doing away with the separate enterprises (DSC World vs DCS WWii) but its looking that way.

I hope ED starts some kind of approval process for any future KS projects with rewards. You guys know what kind of investment and time it takes to pull off a module. Giving away the farm at the beginning without raising enough to make even one module was insane. Add the crazy constantly changing reward structure to this disaster and you have a train wreck. I really am ready for the P47 but it is so far off. Probably would be my top pick. Maybe if they didn't give us all our aircraft backers would also be offered big discounts for the remaining planes so it didn't hurt as bad. :joystick:

Hope we can keep all our flyable planes but not expecting it. I except more of a $1-$30 get choice of one plane or KS refund, $40-$110 get choice of 3 planes or refund, $120-250 single copy of each or refund, $500 plus group they would have to work out something different but its not a lot of people. This would kill all the t-shirts, printed manuals, etc but something like this would end the KS debacle. No one would be happy or whole but everyone has to give up something.

Probably should of put this in the PC Hardware section to get the info your looking for or check the more hardware oriented PC sites. Like the case just so WHITE. Not sure on the card ... don't run multi monitors but plenty do here. The chip should overclock to 4.2 or higher but not sure with that fan. Guru3d and xbitlabs plus other sites will give you great reviews and tell you what to expect.

Seems like they were going for some of the later models of 44/early45 but since everything is under ED's roof now other 3rd party planes should enter the fray. Another 3rd party already announced the bearcat, P40, and another spit so other models of Me/FW planes could be coming soon. It would be nice to see some Russian planes in here eventually to get both sides of the German fronts.
