  1. While stationed in SAC one of our B52's lifted and just after it was airborne went 90 degrees vertical. (no lift at all) the pilot straightened it out just in time... note: runway needed minimum, with average loudout 2.5 miles. I watched some jaws drop...
  2. yes, plausible, the elevator is what you need a little more of... IMHO
  3. the Chinook is a flying gas tank, well actually many gas tanks on each side... I suppose this could be one too... :joystick:
  4. I hit cancel after 2 hours, now it's rocking on http... had I Known !
  5. update is very, very slow, for today's updater!
  6. very cool, and a lot of work!
  7. Update, it says the radio info panel will only show in Window mode.. so I guess that answers my question... will this radio mod work in full screen, or just Window mode? thanx
  8. http://acepilots.com/planes/f86_sabre.html Last night we were doing a low level fight against the Mig-15's and they kept on our 6's in lots and lots of low level on the deck flying and turning. The F-86 burns off a lot of speed in tight turns. Of course the Mig's were AI, although a person can fly them in the server if they want. :joystick:
  9. just download a profile and open it and look how it works.. also look on the Internet for manuals, videos, etc..
  10. 'They live' is a fun movie for just a flick on tv.... funny too! I think it was from the 1980's ??
  11. I fly IL-2, COD, and DCS... so too many aircraft to list, but the problems seemed to only on that aircraft at that time... :joystick:
  12. Yay, lots of cheap plastic, can se it breaking, snapping and popping like rice krisppies like someone peed in the corn flakes... keys sticking.... only beta drivers because the root enumerator is sending 999,000,0000,0000 presses for each tap... the list goes on..... after 15 years of Saitek,,,, might get a year or two before it self destructs like a secret tape that just finished playing........ well, buy plastic for your stock portfolio, they will use a lot... btw, BMW also went with cheap plastic which falls apart after the first few years of fun... the plastic disintegrates . But that's another story on the use of crappy cheap plastic on expensive toys...
  13. a couple days Ago I used the (Crtl-Enter) to see what the controls are doing, and the brakes were not on...) but none the less.... Anyways, I made vast improvements like I said in a post or two back with resetting the control panel in the game for the F-86. :joystick:
  14. Thank you for your help! really appreciate it! Maybe fixed after resetting axis control in F-86 control panel. Brakes also maybe sticking still. Not long ago, after using Saitek for like 15 years, a couple sets of Saitek sticks and pedals over the years, I changed my Saitek pedals for CH pedals, I still have the Saitek X-52 pro stick. I also recently went from Win 8.1 to Win10. Saitek didn't release any Win10 drivers, so we really were screwed badly until they released beta drivers for Win10. Win10 gave me problems, I went back to Win 8.1. Now the F-86 seems to be the only one with steering issues. Sticking brakes still an issue? I have to keep upon this myself. Maybe put a dead zone in when no brakes applied. I am not sure yet 10-17-15_f-86_maybe_fixed_after_reset axis controls.trk
  15. I should change this to pull to right, I have to pull to left when the takeoff goes to right, after attempted correction, of pulling left with s' key, it straightens for a only a short while then turns again... not sure if it makes any difference which direction it is pulling, should only go straight, except with rudder, for tiny direction corrections.
  16. trying again, trying to check nose wheel with long s' key press with engine up, before takeoff, al controls were neutral except throttle during runup, and a while on s key to make sure front when was straight before letting go of brakes.. 10-17-15_f-86_PULL_To_Left_after_long_Runup2.trk
  17. did a long runup, still no difference... btw, this mission is the instant action, 'take-off'. From the sim menu. a while back, I never had a steering problem with the F-86. Not sure how long ago this problem started, but I have been flying the DCS F-86 for (1 year ?) I just hadn't been flying it a few short months... been flying other aircraft... then came back to the F-86 recently. Our squad rotates to different aircraft for squad practice nights. 10-17-15_f-86_PULL_To_Left_after_long_Runup.trk
  18. here is the track.. it pulled would not go straight...had to constantly use stick, 'S' Key, pedals, etc... actually, after I corrected it, it then wanted to pull right,, but had to get into air during the fight with the steering... 10-16-15_f-86_PULL_To_Left.trk
  19. even with use of nosewheel F-86 puulls to left on takeoff. I believe a while back it had neutral steering. Then, not sure when, it seemed the plane pulls to the left and I keep having to use the nose wheel 'S' key along with the stick and rudder to jeep it straighter down the runway and take-off. My CH pedals seem set right in the settings, and nothing wrong. I don't remember needing any trim in the past it just taxied, took off and landed nicely. Now, it seems like it has a problem. It may start straight on take-off and a hundred feet down it starts going left a bit, and I have to sue the 'S' Key to help straighten it back again.. What happened? I noticed there are a couple threads about RPM and hydraulics, but that should not be any problems with hydraulics, with pump at idle it should be good..... I more rpm, and yes, probably better... but still should be no issues because at take-off it has full rpm. I am trying a curve in differential braking, and may get rid of it just to eliminate it as having any affect, although I like the curve on the differential braking, but that should only be on when brakes applied. Ideas? Anyone else? Thanx
  20. I went through that too, spent 1/2 day getting screwed by trying to set control settings... then found out you have to do a complete save with each aircraft.. what a nightmare... :joystick:
  21. you should not put 'SALE' up in headline, very misleading as people do not expect what they get from that trigger word... just sayin'
  22. nope, you have to buy it 2x, essentially, they just refused to convert the old users to B2, which was when the purchase of both BS1 and BS2 was what we did.
  23. I found that using high performance is just as needed as the amount of Ram... medium to low performance sucks in gaming... even if you have enough Ram..
  24. dcs updater messed up today it's slow, inconsistent, crashes after 99% of file is downloaded, does not pickup where left off... just bad.. had to re-install the whole dcs sim (Win10 took a dump, went back to Win8.1)... and before I thought it had a menu that showed all the you owned, and it would just down all checked, now I have to go to each individual aircraft... weird stuff happening with dcs... :helpsmilie:
  25. Win 10 had big problems with things going missing, script errors, etc... have to nuke C' Drive and now putting Win 8.1 back in.. :joystick::doh:
