  1. I lost my bindings too, even the B ones...
  2. Hey guys! In the past days, after watching RedKite's video, I downloaded his templates and started creating my own. Yesterday I came across this error from DCS that I can't understand, everything seems fine to me, but the program won't load the .lua, because, it appears, it's expecting a } where, for what I can tell, there shouldn't be one.... I can't see any errors in the lua (but I'm no programmer, I mostly copied and pasted), can someone tell me what's wrong? EDIT: Well, I found out: I was missing a comma in line 101, just behind the quotes. Thank you anyway to those who tried to help.
  3. Ok, thank you very much, Flappie, I'll change wind in the mission!
  4. Copy, Flappie, I'm still at work, when I get home I'll record a short track. Meanwhile, if you feel like it, these are the campaigns I was talking about: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3307835/ Harrier campaign, the mission is mission 6, you just have to sit there a couple of minutes and wait for the AI flights to taxy to the runway. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3310481/ Tomcat campaign, mission 2, here you have to start up and start rolling, possibily launch from cat 1 Otherwise, you'll have the track in about four to five hours.
  5. Hi, Viper_2020! For the price range you're describing, I'd say the only viable alternative for a full hotas system is TM T.16000M flight pack: https://www.thrustmaster.com/en_US/p...cs-flight-pack I've been using it for three years and it's only recently showed some sign of wear (the ministick on the throttle is spiking a bit, so it is the pitch axis), considering I was lucky enough to buy it on Amazon at € 165, I'm pretty happy with it; prices are higher now, but it's still well below € 300. It has enough buttons to map every aircraft controller on it (I like to map on the HOTAS only the controls that are on the real aircraft HOTAS), at most, you'll need just a button as modifier; it uses the same Hall effect sensors that are on the Warthog and allows a precise enough control of the aircraft (at least for my clumsy flying) and you don't really need Target with DCS, you can map everything from the game. The only downside I can see: I don't fly a lot on choppers (I have only the UH-1H and bought it recently, didn't fly it much), but for those aircraft I think this stick might not be the best, since the spring will force you to push or pull on it constantly to fly and it won't allow you to be precise (eg to keep the stick in a certain position, you'll have to constantly exert a force on it and, after a while, your hand will begin to tire and the flying will become wobbly). Hope this helps, see you! EDIT: One last thing, keep in mind that the pack is composed by controllers that are usually sold separately or in other bundles, so you can even choose to buy just the stick and throttle and so on.
  6. I had this happening, too, in PG, Al Dhafra (Broken Cauldron AV-8B free campaign), a flight of F/A-18C stuck on the runway blocking everyone else. I tried to deconflict take-off times or to erase one group, but it didn't matter, whoever gets to align on the runway first, just sits there. Then, and I'm not sure if it's the same bug, in an F-14 campaign (Earnest Will, Supercarrier version), I had my wingman lined up behind me on cat 1, after I launched he hooked to the catapult and remained there for something like 20 minutes, before launching. I have tacview tracks for all of the above (last one is pretty big, since I played the mission anyway), let me know if you want them, otherwise I'll try to take some DCS track of the first mission (it happens at the beginning, so tracks should be short enough to post and not be corrupted).
  7. Thank you Draconus, gonna rev up my engines!
  8. Hey there guys! Quick question, what's the average lenght of full missions? Couple of hours? More? Less? Thanks for your answers!

    F-104?

That's good to know, let's cross our fingers and start dreaming! :smilewink:

    F-104?

I really hope it's so, because I'd really, really like to see the AMX done by IFE, especially the ACOL.

    Welcome!

Welcome and in bocca al lupo, ragazzi!
  13. Look again at the changelog, Recluse, is it the one at line 13 of the Harrier list?
  14. Hey there Admiral189! Since you're doing an FFG(X), which is based on the FREMM, any change you can model the latter, too, just to make a bunch of Italian and French guys happy? :smilewink:
  15. Thank you, BuzyBee, I mixed up my logs! ;)
  16. Hi again! Sorry to bother you guys again, but I have another issue: the event log window doesn't show any event, not in the new tracks, nor in the old ones. Since the flights are correctly recorded, I'm guessing all the data are there, they're just not shown in the event log window. Any idea what I have to do to fix this issue?
  17. EDIT: Sorry to have bothered you guys, I understood what happened: reinstalling the program simply reset the folder where I save tracks to the default one, I just have to change it again! Duh!
  18. Hello there! I have updated Tacview from 1.8.0 to last version (I downloaded the new installer and ran it, I guess it overwrote the files already installed), and after flying a mission in DCS, there was no track recorded. The option to record is thicked in the Special submenu of the Option Menu in DCS. Any idea what's going on and how to fix it? Thank you!
  19. Hi there, Notso! Yes, SRS basically works like a real radio. As a matter of fact, in non FC3 modules, SRS is completely transparent to the user, you just use the PTTs of on-board radioes to talk to people (more correctly, the keys or buttons of your controllers you have bound to those functions), and have to tune them to the correct frequency to talk to someone. EDIT: As for VR, I don't know if you can see airplanes and missiles without labels on, in SP (with Oculus CV1 I can't, until it's too late), so, when choosing a server, keep an eye on the options they have chosen, most of MP servers have labels turned off. If I might suggest, if you're not looking for a player vs player environment, Hoggit's servers are a great choice, they run continous cooperative wars against the AI, both on Caucasus and Persian Gulf map, have room for around 40 players at a time and have labels on for aircrafts (you'll still have to fly "blind" against missiles and ground targets): https://wiki.hoggitworld.com/view/Georgia_At_War .
  20. Hey guys! After a very long time I got back to the Cat and decided that Kaba's campaign was perfect to brush up on my (poor) F-14 skills, so I went for it, in the SC cold start flavour. Well, in mission 2A, Cargo, the game keeps crashing on me at random moments... I really have no idea what could cause this, is anyone else experiencing it?
  21. Ciao LordOrion!
  22. Hey Swift! Quick (and I hope not OT) question: is there a way to delete the JDAM target, either a PP or TOO one?
  23. Yeah, LGBs are working as intended for me as well, the bug should be for LMAVs only.
  24. Hi Impreza. The D on the HUD has been there for a long time, it appears when you arm the designating laser of the TPOD and flashes when the laser is firing. As for the lmav, there's a bug since June 3rd OB patch, it's been already discussed in the following threads: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=276723 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=276428
  25. Got it, thank you guys!
