If you're talking about cockpit textures, there are mods for that, downloadable from user files section. And you'll have english bitching betty and HUD if you set cockpit language to english in settings.

There's no map difference whatsoever, we all have the same stuff regardless of what module you have. All FC3 planes have campaigns, Su-33 actually two. There are a few single missions and instant action as well. Su-27 is the only plane that has interactive voiced tutorials. For the rest you'll have to read manual, look on youtube, or there's an ingame option to download super poor videos recorded from FC2. They're ugly, but it's better than nothing I guess. Learning curve is quite easy, with manual and a few tutorials you can learn the systems in a day imho. Of course, flying it and using it in combat effectively comes down to practice and takes time, especially with advanced flight models. But operating the systems really comes down to a few buttons rather than that crazy clickology like in A-10C ;) You can try Su-25T, with FC3 it's basically the same thing.

Never heard of stuttering because of SSD. Maybe if you buy some super cheap one or have your computer screwed up in other places. Set your budget and buy what will get you most bang for buck (internet is filled with dozens of detailed reviews) I recently bought Crucial MX100 256GB, for 125 bucks it was a steal. Nothing was better at that price and what was better was also so expensive that it wasn't worth it.

Besides the resources and development time, you're kinda assuming that everybody wants teen fighters or hi-tech mumbo jumbo, and older planes is just something we all just settled with. There are more than enough fans of WWII or old planes in general. ED just can't make everyone happy at the same time. If we had nothing but modern airplanes, there would be threads "why ED won't make any WWII planes!" ;)

Not all chimneys have the new effect, look around Mineralnye. Mine looks just like in those Art-J's screens. I like it but it needs to slow down a bit! EDIT: Actually, I take it back. It looks fine at first but if I move camera far away and then come back, effect will turn into this fps eating madness.

Try disabling any security software you have. I was getting HTTP 499 error because of it as well.

I've maxed out my connection with every update lately, so I wouldn't worry about speeds (10-11.5MB/s usually). Also, I don't have to restart the updater fifty times to get reasonable speed anymore.
