at least two modules.... You can have the E and make the G (very interesting sub module if you ask me)... or go Ej and F (germany export) The naval family! well: B, C, J, K and M... all different enough to gran a different module. I would buy at least three without a doubt.

The art work looks absolutely stunning!!! Pro level I would say! Nice work gentlemen!!! beautiful addition to DCS! Thank you!

Waiting for the MB 339!! looking FANTASTIC! What I don´t get is: its up for review and still getting New features? Anyway my wallet is ready, bring it ON!

or even to prevent Argentina and Chile from protecting their territorial waters against predatory ilegal fishing done by Chinese ships.

A nadie se la ha ocurrido hasta ahora hacerle unos esquemas de pintura ficticios al F/A-18 de la Armada Española? Agradeceré cualquier información al respecto. Gracias!

if many of us hadn't @chosen the wrong game@ you would still be flying Flanker 2.5 The ability of self entitlements of some old simmers never ceses to surprise me... But yeah case closed, I'll be saving a ton of money at least.

you see its "heretic" but takes Nothing away from you. You cant even define what it takes away from you. Or you don t want to say it ;). I truly hope ED sees the advantages to many over the self righteousness and egoism of a few.

Ok, lets say I agree with all your points. My point is: giving an F4 Phantom II E the capability of taking off form a carrier takes away nothing from the way you want to use it. yes? It can still operate as a perfectly accurate E and do the same things the RL counterpart can. The only difference I am asking for is that I can launch said plane from a catapult. The way I see it it takes Nothing from your realism and accuracy away. I am not asking for armament sensors or capabilities the E does not have. Yet it is "sacrilege" to make that plane be able to launch from a carrier so I can use it as a stand in of a B, C, J , N or K if I wish so.. because its not "realistic"... And that is my point, your purity takes away from my fun when my fun does not take away any of your fun. If I get what I am asking, You can choose NOT to put it in a carrier in your missions. If you get what you are asking, I can NOT choose to put it in a carrier in my missions.. An that is the Whole point.

Thanks guys! very helpful!!!

On the other hand , with this dogmatic disposition, by the time you finally get a posible theater of operation or assets the original module is so outdated that in the best case just looks dated and in the worst it has so many bugs its close to unflyable...
-
OK, North if it was up to you we would endlessly fly the same 3 o 4 missions accurate to the last screw. If you get really strict there is no accurate scenario being assets time period, histrionically close and or whatever in DCS. its called a sand box. and by restraining what I can do with the toys in that sandbox in the name of "accuracy"? feels like doctrine constrains. You dont see it that way? Grate more power to you. but cutting features or possibilities that other people might enjoy in the name of a false "sanctum premise" is , sorry to say, Narrow minded. Not ment as an offense in any way. Just stating a fact that that kind of thinking limits imagination and posible scenarios. I was just hoping ED would allowd some flexibility in the "imagination department"- and not have to wait til 2029 Cheers gentlemen.

really? CV 59 Forrestal is not asset enough for you.. And yeah good developers MAKE assets to go with their planes.. look at Heatblur... again CV 59? CV 60?... I guess we will have to keep relying in the MOD community to circumvent dogmatic constrains LOL And just out of curiosity where the hell are you going to fly realistically and historically this F4 E? Germany? LOL geez narrow minds give me a headache...

Hi I am trying to simulate early 1990s F/A 18s and I was wondering if there is any argument that would remove the HCMS visor or rever to the old helmet via the description LUA or Am i Stuck with the new XXI century helmet? Thanks In advance!

So is ED willing to make a sacrifice in accuracy and give the E the possibility to be used on a carrier or are we stuck with a "naval less" airplane? I don´t mean only to catch the wires I mean to be able to launch from catapults... are they really going to deny us a naval phantom?

Most incredible release vid guys! Awesome! And about the mod... Well: Its Perfection guys. Must have! Best Mod ever!

Hold your horses!!! LOL. Why Generic. Well Africa is Huge and the list of African Conflicts is Enormous. To represent them all you would need around 6 to ten maps. all huge by the way. Congo, Angola and South Africa being the more infamous, but there were plenty more, Algeria, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Rwanda, and well the list is Huge. And even then If you wanted to center on a specific conflict, the areas are so large that no one complete theater can fin in a DCS map as it stands today. So the way I see it , the only way to have a reusable African theater is to have a generic map with generic climates and cities and bases that could serve to simulate at least some of the conflicts, if not in total accuracy and detail. The hard part would be to make it look realistic not falling into trivialized stereotypes of Tarzan and the like. Africa is a continent with very diverse climate and terrain, and huge cities as well as small villages, modern infrastructure and traditional farming. So to get the right feeling would not be easy. Anyways, here it to hoping that some 3rd party wants to give it a try....

I love the scenario but its huge.. to big for DCS today. But yeah even a parto of Florida and a part of Cuba would be nice.
-
Within the constrains of rigid DCS traditions of down to nuts and bots realism, OK no. But It would be really, really interesting to have an incarnation of an Exocet missile in game that is not a MOD.
-
The phantom was born a Naval plane, making one not Carrier Capable would be a shame. I even would accept an E BUT that can operate from carriers anyway. making it a Hybrid.

(Request kinda) Sea Harrier FRS
Baco replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Actually a MOD for the FSR 1 would be very nice. Shape and capacities are different to the AV8B. The AV8B is to the Shar what the Mirage 2000 is to the Mirage III, looks kind of the same but its a completely different beast. -
Technicaly 3rd parties sales do generate revenue and this year we have MB 339, pretty sure, South Atlantic almost sure, Mirage F1, kind of sure, then probably the F4U, the A-7 hopefully, Kiowa, maybe the Mudhen (F-15E), and there are several more poryects dancing arround too, so plenty of 3rd party revenue for ED...
-
yeah the BIG announcement was the Apache. I am also clueless on this. There is no roadmap no ne modules announced, yeah speculation on an F-6 Hellcat, but other than that.. no new toys from ED. Of course new AI, new weather that interacts with AI and multicore stuff is More than welcome over Modules. After all 3rd parties are beginning to chip in with stuff. ME hoping against hope, all I want is a naval Phantom II.

Radar is NOT affected by clouds unless very unusually dense. Neither is IR missile heads, again unless a very strangely thick dense cloud layer. Regular clouds, no radar is fine. Specially modern potent radars. Otherwise SAM would be useless in cloudy days... So would Air Trafic Controllers.
-
Mate, please read well. There are No Tree on the ISLANDS. But the map has thousands of kilometres of CONTINENTAL Land Full of trees.
-
Still the Point is valid, with this long on production, the Kiowa looses appeal. When there were 3 helos, OK, but now you having a limited budget, what are you going to get: the armed recon or the full beast? Besides AI can do recon Even on the real world there is 2 Kiowa per every 8 Apaches.. so fewer sales. Polichop does not "fix" the Gazelle and does not release the Kiowa when it has been showing off videos for over 2 years... It really makes you wonder... Some 3rd party developers still see this as a hobby it seems.... What the Huey needs is a Little bird, an AH 06. When the Kiowa entered service the Huey was already obsolete... I will not deny its Niche value. Every single module in DCS is priceless for some, but then again to make a margin and profit to continue supporting your modules you need to sell. Otherwise you go VEAOs route...If it was out tomorrow i would buy it. But now there are two or three modules I really want to get, so as you can see the more you delay release the more other modules you have to compete with , and I didn´t even buy the Apache or the Hind... I already have 4 helicopters....
