  1. Yes, i agree but you can always say: we found bugs, back to development.... They did tell us with the mosquito, so its not like I am innovating here. I am not asking for precise dates, but more like feedback in the kind of: testing, rectification (in case of bugs or need to send it back to the 3rd party for adjustments), schedule for release... for instance... Right now its like a Limbo... we summited!... Ed silent till release.
  2. Hi, being in EDs court, can you guys estimate a date of release yet or are you still testing? Congrats on the Apache, Stunning module and best launch video ever... But not my cup of tea, so i am eagerly waiting for other modules...
  3. I wish ED would take the time to include a line or two on their weekly news to mention the status of submitted modules for review and estimated time of release. Right now we know they are reviewing the MB 339 and the Mirage F1...
  4. I never could use effectively the Marsden farp plates. Now that Suntsag is closer to ED I would hope to get a nice official object of the sort. Roads are not an option since you stick a wheel on the grass and its game over.. Wee need some kind of compliment to the invisible farp object.
  5. The thing that worries me is that the more "stuff" they cramp into one single Patch or Update, the more difficult is to determine what went wrong when bugs creep up and you need a hot fix asap... Hopefully it wont be a "huge mess" pun intended and just kidding!
  6. Well, I can see how it is a problem. DCS modules are no inexpensive, specially for those outside USA and Europe (possibly Russia has preferential prices too). But being that there are several modules being made, it is nice to have a complete picture, so as not to "jump the gun" and get the module we actually want. Example: MB 339 is out, so is BO 105.. so Do i get myself the Airmacci or do i wait for the Mirage F1, if so, I miss the early access or pre purchase promotion while i wait for my cup of tea; Do I get the new map or the fancy module and Hope it´s the module i want and not juts a bunch of empty promises... (and I do not mean specifically the Mirage F1, it applies to every module being made today). Or yeah you can wait 6 months and read the reviews, and get it in one of the seasonal Sales LOL...
  7. Oh I love old school, so CE end EE for me, but I prefer to move mud so i hope the EE is in the EA release too...
  8. Yes definitely, as every aircraft in DCS except for the teen guys LOL. I understand perfectly. I am a "low tech attack guy" so for me the upcoming G.91 is priceless, but What I can not deny is that there is maybe 20 to 30 "G.91 Guys" out there LOL. So yeah most people are going to get the F 15E, and will not but the G.91 if there is anything else to buy... And we are very, very lucky that the plane si being made at all, since its hardly a good comercial choice. The Kiowa stands in the same category. Very interesting machine with a very small follower base. It did stand a better chance of selling when there weren´t that many choppers out there...
  9. While this is true, and the fact that there is no other modern accurate flight sim out there, makes Old players stay. but new players are going to be put away form reviews and the constant NOT good enough environment feedback. As an example, I love Space sims, I would get one of them but it is in the same state as DCS, Great potential, it is playable and maybe fun, but has not shown indications fo achieving its greatness and it will remain in the same state as it is today... So No thanks, I am not investing a ton of money in the core, ships and all that jazz to help develop a stagnant project... I feel the same about DCS right now, I have most modules, every map, but I have stopped. I will not buy another module "for the cause", or to keep in the hanger for some day. I had some interest on the Hind and the Apache is looking Awesome, but again after you learn the systems then what?... back to clunky IA, health bar targets? 90s looking assets, and in a jet well you are going 500kts.. in a chopper you are hovering and have a front row seat to see the targets and buildings... so no I did not buy neither the Hind nor the Apache will not get the Kiowa nor the F 15E Strike Eagle. Actually today there is no Module that i fancy on the shop...And i am sure I am NOT the only one... So maybe lets drop the "non payment bull", the "separate the community excuse". Let ED charge for quality assets with a credible damage model, and for core improvements. Otherwise is a downward spiral... I will buy my niche inside a niche air frames, just because they fly in my country, MB 339 and Bo 105, and of course will buy My country (South Atlantic map ;)) other than that.. I will wait and see.. and I am sure I am not the only one... DCS World deserves a better COMBAT environment, after all its "Digital COMBAT simulator" not "Digital systems simulator"...
  10. If I may, I think the Gratest Oversight is how the world and most specially targets react to weapons. it is very hard to work with Assets that have a heath bar a la "Warcraft 1990" and even worst: Ships, being the last, complex machines with diverse systems and weapons besides te float or no float capability. Wee need complex damageable ships and assets in the modern environment too. it is very frustrating to have to have a direct hit on vehicles to achieve damage, and ships well, we need complex ships that can be damage independently of the hull state. ATC they are working on it, AI well its hard but again there are people looking into it.. believable targets, not even mentioned yet... We dot need pettier targets we need functional targets give me boxes that can suffer a mobility kill, that can be pin down, ships that can lose the self defense systems or offensive capabilities, give me an enemy that reacts realistically to the damage my weapons inflict. Not just dead or alive. Right nw DCS is a systems simulator, and not a "Combat" Simulator... And most specially now that you are making a huge emphases on helicopters...
  11. Right now in a MP session no more than 4 humans can occupy a plane on board a carrier. The irony is that the problem has been solve but only on the Super carrier Module. I understand that a fee asset can not have all the bells and whistles, but being able to use more than 4 client slots should be a basic feature.Specially if 3rd parties that enlarge teh Assets quantity and quality are not allowed to use the SC apis or features. It should be a basic feature that at least 12 clients could start a mission on board a carrier and not enter the mission as slots are made free by taking off.
  12. Thanks mate! yeah formation flying isnt my forte either LOL... But yeah I have a nice Virpil, accurate enough, still the KC 135 flies all over the sky.. for moments I am perfectly align and still then bam, right, left, up, down.. I cant compensate fast and accurately enough... Well I Guess I´llI keep trying.. but man and "easy" option with the tanker STILL in one bearing one speed. instead of flying realistically would be very welcome... That there is THE point, Not only do you have to learn to do it, but you have to stay proficient at it. that means you need to fly once or twice a week at least. and if you work and take care of a family some times you cant... so the Nay say´ers, purist, elitist, only keep people that could enjoy the sim as casual pilots away.
  13. its an exercise in frustration. I dot know why on earth we cant have easy AAR let the AI take over, i dont have the time nor the inclination to learn, so i cant participate in group missions, its really frustrating...its a big enough issue to say <profanity> it I had it with DCS...
  14. Hi Mate, first, Thanks a lot for taking the time to fix it and share with us! But where do I replace the files, in Shapes? inside the MOD? Thanks again.
  15. Thanks so very much! I was very frustrated so sorry for the bitterness. That is a lot of grate info.
  16. Thanks a lot friend!!! Thank you my friend!!! grate info.
  17. Very happy to stand corrected then. And coming form THE source all I can say is thank you por straiting that out. So can you confirm then that Times lines and road maps (as not fixed as they are in this business) have not changed too much form the loosely expected? And can we expect a naval phantom within a two year (plus minus 6 moths) timeline? Thanks in advance and I do understand that Times are NOT set in stone and you are not making any promises, but still some loose info would be very welcome.. Also clarifying the Probable order that we can expect the different modules would be very nice.
  18. Hi Guys, quick question, Ive set up a training missions using the Target circles. I have placed them as Blue ground units (I am flying Blue) as to get damage assessment and all, but when I hit it with a Walleye i get Fratricide penalties for it. Am I supposed to set the ranges in red? or use then as Static objects? how do you get the assesmente distance from the target hit etc..? Thanks in advance!
  19. yeah while there are indeed separate teams, the coders are one or two so to finish modules there is a bottleneck. remember we still have the F14A one of the two announced still in the pipelines plus maybe if ever an AI Draken... and the AI A6 + probably Tanker A6? so a naval phantom is quite far in the future yet.
  20. Lots of optimism here LOL.. I can only see AH-64 and MB 339 assured... Very probable: South Atlantic, Mirage F1... The rest s a blur, lots in the mist of development woes LOL.
  21. Ok so you are saying that the A6, and the F-14A 95GR or 135GR early are being worked by some one else than the Phantom II team, or assisting with the EF, and we might as well forget about the Draken... How big is Heatblur again...how many people? You really think that a Family of Phantom IIs full blown modules are coming in 2022? Reality check. I say maybe F-4E by the end of 2022, one of the two versions announced already, then MYABE Q4 2023 EA of a naval Phantom, but then again what happens to the A6, the remaining F 14? I don´t know. I really don´t want to get my hopes up. Modules take a LOT of time to be developed right AND the E is no slouch and it has a plethora of systems to get working.. I would bet you a Phantom II module that we don´t see a Naval Phantom II till 2024 at least. I would love to be proven wrong...
  22. Not YET it aint.. its after the family of Es, and after the EF and after the A6... so no, not even started.. they will make it in the future...
  23. The E hu? Guess I'll have to wait till the next one...
  24. A naval Phantom is NOT being made yet.. so...
