Must admit an update on the Stennis is a very welcome surprise! Thank You ED!! Now get cracking on the naval assets damage model!

Glad I could help!

When you fly that kind of realistic mission parameters, the point of the mission is the experience of flying it with full procedures... If you get shot down, you normally end the session and write a debrief. Or at least that´s how hardcore full real squads function... Hitting refly and trying again till you kill everything in the map is not my cup of tea... Kind of "Airquake" in my mind... You train hard and do your best. Some you win, others you loose. But in this manner every action has purpose and you don´t just "risk it" or go Rambo on the target. And if you did the best you could and bite the dust, then its all part of the experience.

None of the above... To me S.A. is "my Nevada": Flying realistic training missions as the Argentine Navy. Of course first with "Alternative planes" and go full real when i finally get the Mb 339. (hopefully the Super Etandart and or A-4Qs some day)...

yes you can buy in Steam and then transfer the license in the ED account page, and run it on the ED Open beta version. Stop destroying the Infrastructure on the map!

We have the Play Ground! release the TOY!!! I need an Aermacci in my life!

The sheer density of population in the US restricts the size of the map greatly. its the same problem as having Centre Europe in a map. Nevada could get away with it because the ONLY big city is Las vegas. Now you propose San Diego/Tijuana and all the coast up Camp Pendelton (San clemente island) , The area might be one of the densest populated areas in the west coast excluding LA of course... If doable it would have to be ugly, with generic city blocks, and tiles, not up to par with what DCS is today. It would be a huge investment in time, resources, effort...

We Want To Hear Your Ideas For A New Map In DCS!
Baco replied to danielzambaux's topic in DLC Map Wish List
The ideas are already on the table. I suggest you model what you are passionate about. its a lot of frustrating long hours to get a map done, years of hard work, and if you don´t love what you are doing you will not be able to create a grate map. That Said I love the idea of Panama, its a small manageable size and a very strategic point of the world. And if you add some part of Colombia you can also have nice war on drugs/anti-insurgency campaigns with all the lovely COIN and light Attack aircraft that we have and are coming out soon. -
Your depiction is a bit too large but I fully agree a Gotland-Kalininingard area map would be Amazing.
-
An Iraq/Iran/Kuwait map would be truly useful, 80s Iran/Iraq war, 99 and 2003 Iraq wars, and ISIS war in the 20s,. Even expanding the Gulf would be very, very useful. Those facts are undeniable. Not to mention the upcoming F1 would be right at home also... (the again I am half Spanish, so an "Almería" map is also welcome )

Yes please. Now more than ever we have huge chunks fo really big maps that we could exploit with placeable runways or at the very leas areas with no friction, so planes would not get stuck on the grass! We even have bases drawn on the tiles (like Fallon in nevada)... Please, please make the grass runways work or make 500mts invisible runways.
-
First of all THANK YOU!!!! Now, please watch the typos: Veinticincol de "maya"? is that a new pastry or something? Santa Fe frigate? the only ARA Santa Fe was a Submarine... I understand the rush and all... Anyways THANKS Again for this grate map!

Remember its ED´s UTC standard time release! so later today

I thought I also saw (read) a June 22nd date somewhere, but now I cant find the source... Is it possible it has been changed? Every source is talking about an imminent release: "Less than the ones in your right hand, if everything goes as planned (which never does, but still)", and Casmo "with in a few days" statement makes me thing that it might get released this week or Next week tops.. June 22nd is still 14 days away...
-
Its a given, since it been announced that more bases will be coming along, but just for the record! I hope we get at least one or two a year until every strip is in there. Its a beautiful place to explore, and train long range navigation, so the more places to take off and land the better. And of course Thank you for bringing to life this extraordinary map!

Well I am truly hopping for the MB 339 tomorrow along with the Premiere of the Trailer video... and what a nice surprise it would be to have the map anounced or even out in Early Access.. But I fear I will be disappointed on both accounts... Most likely date for release of any kind is with the next O.B. June 22nd. if you ask me.... -
Mission and campaigns are usually done by other third parties like Reflected for example. and there will be a plethora of user made missions when we finally get the map.

I love reading about the political and technical details behind a particular acquisition and history of the Weapons systems. It gives me all sort of ideas for What If scenarios and other fictional acquisitions.
-
yeap that´s what I was saying: two simultaneous releases in one update. So it has happened before... good! Looking forward to South Atlantic Map and Mb 339 o the next OB update... And if they throw the Mirage F1 in the mix I will be very happy too

Still Post Korea pre Vietnam Planes are very interesting and hardly ever portrayed in a realistic consumer combat flight simulator...
-
Is it possible to get more than one module per update? or will it be one in June, next on July, and so forth? or maybe a map and a plane? I am asking since I have never seen that before, and then again DCS never had so many modules on the brink of "release" or "early access" by before. I need my Fix! please hurry!

I am still not clear why would you need an extra GPS system when the plane already has a very complete GPS and a nav computer. I think its a miss allocation of resources and development time for something completely superfluous...

We Want To Hear Your Ideas For A New Map In DCS!
Baco replied to danielzambaux's topic in DLC Map Wish List
Well if its densely populated it will be a small area. you can go big in a low density area, just look at South Atlantic scope... That Said: - I would love Korea, but I doubt DCS can encompass a big enough chunk. - Meaningful Middle east like Sinai and Suez Channel areas, - Africa could do, but again its HUGE the areas are vast and most wars were inland, not the coast so no carrier action... - 1999 Yugoslavia, I mean Operation Allied Force is huge regarding jets, historical battles, posible new what iff scenarios etc... but very dense and populated not sure if DCS engine can handle it well. - Murmansk might be quite consequential now a days LOL...
