If I am not mistaken the french asked Razbam to do a 2000-5 for training since they liked what they saw with the C. On the other hand I would give a kidney for ANY Mirage III or V, Of course I would Add my left Eye for a Nesher... Well the area you marked is a bit too big, specially considering you included two capital cities, with an insane amount of specific landmarks, so I would deem it imposible to do in DCS. That said, teh area is amaything for conflictsfrom early 50s to modenr and what iffs, the kashmir area disputed between Pakistan and India since Ever..., china Tajikstan, ann the border with Afghanistan... And as you say, incredibly beautifull landscapes... I hope soem day we get some representation of the area or something. Besides I would love to do a "What Iff" scenario with the west intervening in the invasion of Nepal by Mao...

Unfortunately, making maps is a bit more complicated. 1 you need to know how to use DEMs files witch are radar altitude mapos taken from satelights. 2 Then you need to apply texture files to '"tiles" 3 I dont know how you appply roads in DCS in IL-2 you hjad to paint tyhem on a special layer. 4 Place every object in the right place, every house, bridge, tunnel, etc... 5 apply the espcial attributes to tehairports, and other special objects.. so Yeah its aLOT of work. I dont know how to build my own spceial 3d Objecta, a prequisite today to get the map making tools... So yeah, Go figure. I will never be able to make maps...

YES because everything in DCS except for training in Nevada IS ficticiouse. No real aircrafts assets or terrein match any historical conflict EVER. So all the purists, are just deluting themselves.. I woudl like a map that could be South East Asia or Central América, Or a generic African map... not having to make belive..that Georgia gets NATO help to stop a Rusian invasion, or that Iran fights the world alone... AND the only real conflcicts on the PG map happend way way north. not even modeled. (Iran vs Iraq, 1991, Desert storm, ad the lates invasion of Iraq and iran... So hell yeah! bring on generic maps.

Hey Rippers nice work mate. Sweet short, to the point. I for one found them very usefull to "get into" the Jeff. I was kind of lost without porper tutorials in game. And maybe Cap is not the most knoledgeable guy out there, but i like his no nonsense aproach, And the way they have organiced the plethora of information into short easy to follow videos. Good show chaps.

Unfortunately DCS planes do not recieve upgrades... well, ecept the Ka-50 taht is ;). But its a different aircraft and you have to buy it again. So yeah it would be cool to have a modern F-5, but it wont be the E no more...

Thanks for being ther Bignew. It is conforting that you guys read us. No big criticism. just the fact that Terreing wise, things are going a bit slow. I ment nothing more than that. On the brite side Persian Gulf still feels brand new and no one has flonw every corner yet ;).

well Marianas is more of a playground, a weird experiemnt maybe... while The Channel, is a remake of Normandy of sorts. So.. actually no new full fledge map. AND no news about Syria and less even about Afghanistan... Oh yeah Malvinas/Falklands.. another tiny islands and looooots of water... So while I understand its not easy, I can see the logic in pointing out that we need more done in the "map's department"...
