I did not run a DCSW repair. I kept my DCSW install I originally had. Isolated the issue to this mod, concerning my problem: =================================== Fw-190D Enhanced English Cockpit [iAS Knots Option] (version 1.2) http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1402031/ I removed this mod ("disable selected mod" this item in my JSGME) and all is well. Though, I do recommend using this mod to translate and ID the German language instruments until one feels comfortable with them. Thanks for the responses and feedback.

Hi Isegrim, I fly the DCS Ka-50 most of the time since Black Shark 1. I cannot stray away from flying her too long or I start forgetting... Have been running your sound mod for awhile. I use JSGME for all my mods. I never said thanks, so, T_H_A_N_K__Y_O_U !

Shkval Wiper Blade +1 The Ka-50's wiper actually works from outside, nose-on view, but the wiper action wiping across the shkval lens is not seen from inside the cockpit watching the shkval monitor screen, which is rather interesting. I see my car's windshield wiper blades streak across my windshield when they are wiping. Is this modeled correctly? Or is it just eye candy? I was doing a Ka-50 forum search concerning the "Shkval wiper blade" and found this dated older thread. Looking to see if the Shkval's wiper blade has been discussed. Concerning the thread: I fly the Ka-50 most of the time. Why are some of you guys having problems? I do just fine, still, since Black Shark 1. I get into rather unique, interesting, random issues from combat fire of various kinds. This aircraft is a study in itself. Then figure out how to rtb to get repaired, rearm, refuel, and back out again with the originally issued aircraft. Best I have done is 5 times rtb out and back with the same aircraft. There are good combat creations on various MP servers: 159th, 104th, the old 74th, the old 77th and hopefully devilman's new maddog, and others; got to go looking around to see what other people are doing.

I usually get the target in one shot.

Also, in Manual mode I can shoot out of range over 8k up to 10K using Kentucky Windage. I aim above the out of range target. The laser is not on the target, but I press the target lock button. I might waste a missile or two to hit the target by experimenting where to aim. I locate all my targets using the Shkval, zoomed in. I never use the helmet sight. I look up into the HUD to overlap the 2 circles by using my rudder, then fire.

I have had my trio of Fighterstick, Pro Throttle and Pro Pedals about 5 years and they still operate like right out of the box. There is zero wear free-play yet with them. I use very little deadzone allowance. My trio were purchased directly from CH Products, I don't know if they still allow that direct from them. Each were about $150. I use the Control Manager to do all my setups. " So, will a current version module reinstall fix this or is this issue somewhere else within my DCS_World current installation? I should probably start a separate thread to explore the solution to this texture problem to see where it would be located to isolate this issue. I have made a copy of my original DCS_World installation I use for mods. My Windows "All Programs" , Start Menu does not have the DCS "Repair DCS World" utility under Eagle Dynamics for my modded copy of the original directory. Thanks for any help.

Hi, Not quite sure what you are asking, but I'll take a shot at the question. I always use Google to do searches. If I can't play a YouTube video on my Firefox browser, I go to Chrome, then to YouTube to play the video. I find Google more useful doing topic searches than using the DCS Forums' search utility for forums related inquiries. And I will go many pages back into doing a search result, not just the front page. Ditto looking for YouTube videos by subject. Though, when Google first came out it was better at finding stuff; they throttled it back some, Google does not go so deep as before. As to translating a non-English text, there are many PC based translators to choose from. I use Google Translate using the Chrome browser. I am not aware of a way to translate a non-English voice-over, but I bet it can be done by somebody, especially like the USA CIA or NSA, but they would just use a person that speaks the language. I bet they have the electronic hardware to do it.

Happened again tonight with the 190 in the one-on-one dogfight sortie in Single Player. Couple bullet hits from the P-51 to the 190's canopy's front windshield made all three front windshield sections go orange. I have never done a repair to my DCS World installation. I run some texture mods I keep in JSGME. I will back them out and just keep the 190's English mod and see what happens with you guys. If I still get an issue, I will consider running a repair. Thanks for the replies.

I have two external hard drives I use to backup my Alienware PC. One is a My Book, the other a Toshiba. Plus I suppose my two RAID 0 hard drives to my Alienware is in effect a backup if one went bad. I have CH Products controllers. I use the CH Control Manager to setup my controllers and is a separate entity from my DCS World install. I backup my CH Control Manager's maps and control files separately, and update backups as necessary. I also make a complete copy of my DCS World-Modded directory and back that up also as necessary. Separately I made a copy of my DCS World install to my PC and label it, DCS World-Modded. This directory is what I operate from, but not the Beta, that is part of the original installed directory. All my mods and unmodded stuff is in my DCS World-Modded directory. And I back-up this directory to my external hard drives. Overkill? I suppose so. I have yet, needed to do a major backup reinstall of any of my 3 PCs dating back at least 10 years. But I still play it safe --- I hope! I have never had to do the procedure.

Me, too. I do best sticking with one or two aircraft at a time. I have most of the available inventory and have gotten a working knowledge of each. But if I am away too long I start forgetting what I have learned. Ka-50 is my main ride, then the FW-190. I will not be purchasing all that becomes available. Just too much to keep up with. I am interested in the Spit and the F-18. There is a new helicopter coming along slowly by a 3rd party developer that looks like it will be fun. I had the Warthog down couple years ago, but I have been away from it so long I will have to relearn it. I'd say I spend 95% of my time in game in MP.

Press LWin+NumN - NumN being whichever numeric keypad key you intend customizing. Your view will briefly snap to whatever the current snap view setting is for that key, then return to your previous view. 3.) Press RAlt+Num0 - The snap view should now be saved. Test it by changing your view, then holding down LWin+NumX - you should see your customized snap view. This procedure still works just fine. I used it today to set custom views to my CH Products Pro Throttle. (I had a heart incident a few weeks ago that sent me to the hospital. Afterwards a good chunk of my memory was gone. Been relearning the Ka-50 and the FW-190 since being back home. I followed my directions in my old post in Message #4 above with no luck changing my snap views. I spent a few hours today doing searches here within the forum and found this old message post. My snap views work OK, now for the FW 190-D9 ; I know, this is the 109 forum.)

Solid Orange Inside Canopy Hi, Happened again this afternoon, almost the same situation as quoted above, except a different mission was up. I have not flown the 190 in awhile and doing a refresher. I think the interior canopy went solid orange when I took some hits. Do I need to run any mod pack you guys might be using? I will try different servers to see if this same situation occurs with them. My two rides currently are only the Ka-50 and FW-190. I have no issue, yet, with the Ka-50. Take care.

I fly the 190. PM me if you got something going on. I will fly with an element or flight if anybody wants to work it that way as teamwork; but I always fly by myself, except the Ka-50 with Cooper, sometimes.

Yep, well said. A cruise somewhere nice and about 10 times more pricey sounds about right. Bet she won't say no to her end of the deal.
