Got any links? I have heard the opposite.
With regards to OPs question, yes, with the same size monitor, going from 1080p to 1440p the gauges will look smaller (and sharper) .
@OP have you tried setting control in a single player session? Someone else said they were getting crashes in options control setup but not in-game, worth a try to get you going for now.
I don't know the intricacies of USAF naming conventions, but wouldn't an updated single seat F-22 be an F-22C? The B model is usually a 2 seater, or does this not apply if there isn't a 2 seater model?
They do have different FM and damage model. ED have said they are going to update it, but it may be a while with all the other things they are updating now.
I use a 32" whqd monitor and in 2.0 I get mainly 60fps with some dips to low 50s in some areas. I can only tell the difference between 50 and 60fps when quickly panning with track ir. For me anything over 40fps is totally playable ad long as the fps are not jumping up and down too fast which can cause a type of micro stutter. Hope this answers your question.
Not surprising you get short battery life. Playing DCS your CPU, gpu and fan will be working flat out, 2.0 will not change that. Yes you can have 1.5 and 2.0 installed at the same time.
You won't be able to extreme overclock with that fan but a modest overclock will run fine. I would go for the 6600 unless there are multi thread things you want to do with the pc.
It would be nice if we could place cold start (or hot) aircraft anywhere on the airfields. Just line them up on the taxiways or runways(elephant walk style).
