Yup, it's been 18 weeks tomorrow since any news at all directly from ED. Newsletter back on 15th April was the last mention of her. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151478&page=3 I think a Christmas release is a realistic option now, maybe even this is being optimistic. Every possibility it could even roll into Q1 2017.

Nice little update there by Wags today on the F18 :thumbup: much appreciated. However, all I want in my stocking at the moment is a Spitfire! I think they must have forgotten all about her as no news "direct" from ED for 17 weeks now :( Looks like we may well be lucky to get her in a Christmas stocking! In fact if we get her before Christmas I'll eat said stocking!!! Here's hoping for some news on the old girl in tomorrow's newsletter :music_whistling:

Well, Im hoping for a release sooner rather than later, hopefully then all these nit picking arguments on this thread will calm down a bit. I for one really dont mind what Mk Spitfire ED gives us, what order the rivets are on the wings or how many were built etc etc. I have faith in ED that what they will give us will be a true as possible and within the limitations of DCS a great representation of a ledgend and a great module to fly, which is what this thread is supposed to be about. Heres hoping for some news on the old girl later today :)

I'm not on VR, still using trackir, and I have yet to fly the F-5 at night but I sure can't see anything when I activate the taxi/landing lights. They dont deploy or turn on. Maybe a bug?

That screen shot looks dam good to me, awsome job ED. :thumbup: In comparison to the photo the grass isn't too far off, I guess this will change with the season? That's a point, are different seasons planned for Normandy, or will it be fixed for summer 1944?
