  1. Look forward to your tutorial. Any chance you could let us have a copy of the mission to try it out ourselves once youre done?
  2. I miss the old VA server too, was always on it. Bone still flys on the Aerobatics Online server occasionally when it's up. It did move to the beta release when the Viggen came out but has been down since Fridays 1.5.6 update. The other server they run on NTTR has been down I belive since Fridays update to that version. VA was the first server I looked for too, now it's AO I look for, but unfortunately no word on what's happening with them now either as far as I know. VA in the old days was better and more sociable than a night down the pub. Happy days. Hopefully Rock and Pman will make a return someday with VA and bring it back to life again, but for now I belive they have other projects on the go.
  3. Congratulations fella's, fantastic achievement. You guy's........rock!........no pun intended :D Here's to the next 10
  4. I can't say I have noticed any major difference in the flight model, subtle differences maybe. But I have noticed if after I've started the engine and I let her idle with the throttle closed the engine coughs and splutters to a stop. More noticeable on the higher altitude airfields, so maybe the slight difference in handling is caused by taking off at a higher alt above sea level. One runway I took off from the altimeter was reading 6500ft on the apron. One of the smaller airfields off to the west side of the map. My money is it's an altitude thing causing this, and if so hats off to ED and Yo-Yo for the incredible detail in the Spitfire module. Another theory is the module was extensively tested in caucasus and FM tweaked accordingly, now she's in Nevada at a higher alt it's thrown in some unexpected bugs with the FM?
  5. Same here.........good job ED
  6. Thanks for the explanation RagnarDa  I think it was the 45 deg angle you come out of the turn and start to head toward the runway that was confusing me. My head was still in "normal" ILS approach mode thinking I should be heading direct toward the runway - which I could see in front of me - and the steering cue was correctly directing me toward the angle approach of the Viggen. Now I have my head around things, and just tried it on several servers including a very cool night approach and all worked flawlessly. You were perfectly right Fish, it was the angle. Thanks guy's for the help, rep to you both. :) Awesome module this......
  7. Look forward to watching it, thanks. Yeah, you're probably right. With visual on the runway I'm expecting for it to place me slap bang on the threshold so yes could well be me. Let us know how your test goes...... Anyone know what the latest change was about to the TILS system in the last update? Quote "Changed TILS-landing phase 2 to phase 3 switch so the airplane must be pointed towards the airfield to lessen the likelihood of skipping phase 2. "
  8. I thought LF is the point at the end of the runway, LB is the intersection point with the approach circle, I seem to remember reading in the manual. Anyway, if I do a flip-flop I get the LF in the waypoint indicator but the system still takes me off in to the local countryside!
  9. Would it be possible to use some of the ground units from Normandy on the NTTR map to create a WW2 North African scenario?
  10. Ooohh, harsh words. ;) She is like a refined lady, you have to treat her just right, nice and gentle on t/o and landing :joystick: Much easier than the 109, Yo-Yo did a great job on her.
  11. yeah, she sure is great in VR. They did a real fantastic job on her. Now all we need is a WW2 North African campaign and were off! :D In wonder if Yo-Yo could put some sand filters on the old girl. Hopefully once Normandy is released and the WW2 ground units become available I wonder if we could use them on the NTTR map for a North African scenario?
  12. Congratulations to all the winners....and well done all who entered. I would have found it very difficult to judge that one, all entries were very well done. Great effort guys.
  13. Same here on the Ki-gas pump. I also use the wobble pump now instead of the electric pump as I did before as the original action was way too slow. Much better now and can get the low pressure light out within seconds. The cannon muzzle cap bug has been fixed now too in both NTTR and 1.5.6 beta releases. They now come off when cannons are fired for the first time. She's a real quality module......
  14. Same here. In fact I can't get TILS to work 100% at all. I get to B2 ok and get steering cues to start around the circle towards LF then the cues go awry and start taking me off on a nice little jaunt through the local countryside 45 deg away from the runway. If I try the flip flop method I get cues to B2. Anyone know if the TILS system is working ok? Maybe a tutorial or a training video would be a good idea. The manual explains the system great, but trying to put it into practice or get it to work is a wee bit different. There was a change to the TILS system in the last update, but the discription of it wasn't clear, anyone know what exactly it was?
  15. Looks like this has been fixed in the NTTR release today. Not tried her on the updated 1.5.6 Beta release yet to see if it has rolled into that update too.
  16. Yup https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3038198&postcount=62
  17. Thanks Cobra.........great work.
  18. Cobra.....is you fix list included in todays update for the 1.5.6 Beta? They are not listed on the ED change log, but sometimes stuff isn't included on their list that is in fact in the update!
  19. Today's update change log is right at the bottom. Nothing about any Viggen fixes but that doesn't mean they are not in there. We need some confirmation from the LN guy's on this.
  20. I'm downloading an update for 1.5.6 Beta now to 1.5.6.1648.240 (763.5MB) Not sure what's in it as I haven't seen any change log yet but hopefully the fix list for the Viggen. Spitfire in Nevada too......it's going to be a good weekend!!!
  21. Yes, a hotfix for the Viggen in 1.5.6 beta would be nice this week. Doesnt look too good though.
  22. This worked great, thank you for sharing it. Cobra, any chance you can implement this with phobon's permission of course (or something similar) as standard code for us Warthog users please?
  23. My SSD - Samsung 850 Pro 512GB for 3 versions of DCS including the Beta. OS is on a separate SSD, same spec but 256GB Longer loading time for me on 1.5.6 Beta when compared to 1.5.5 with same settings. Also I am on Oculus VR.
  24. Agreed. I would give my left nut for a Mosquito in DCS. This aircraft would fit perfectly into the Normandy map. Heck you can have them both for a Lancaster! :D
  25. I'm not a Viggen expert, but I do have experience working on jets in RL and you could turn the nav lights on in certain aircraft even with the battery master off. As long as there was a serviceable battery fitted to the jet to power the battery bus bar they worked. In fact it was standing orders when towing a jet at night or doing ground runs they had to be on, the guy in the cockpit had to turn the nav lights on. It was the only lights that worked with everything else shut down, except the spotlight in the cockpit. So in real life this does work with some aircraft. As for the Viggen, I have no idea and don't know the aircraft systems that well..... :book:
