You have the wrong end of the stick.....or in this case undercarrage there buddy :D They are on about holding jet on the brakes and selecting reheat i guess before t/o..

Yes it is....more than enough, considering most of us were not even expecting any of England to be even included. It's great news as far as I'm concerned. Looks like England stretches almost to London! on your avatar. This is shaping up to be a fantastic map, the detail in Normandy is incredible, way above what I ever hoped for. This is gonna be great for WW2 mission builders  It's probably a wee bit early (and cheeky on my behalf but I cant help but ask anyway :D ), are there any ED official campaigns planned for this map yet? Also if I may Wags.....the Spitfire campaign that was mentioned that will release with the module once it's out of beta, will that take place in Normandy or Caucasus map? Cheers for the info so far Wags, much appreciated. Very much looking forward to trying this map out.

Great....thanks for sharing them early. Much appreciated

The wobble pump action was way too sluggish before, it's more like this now.....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI5k4-DDcsI @ 2:42. I'll check next flight..... EDIT It reads 100% following refuel.
-
I've got the same. It's annoying but not a game breaker. Micro freezes and buffering in VR on 1.5.6 - same settings on 1.5.5 with no issue.
-
Also just noticed this evening whilst flying on a server, after landing and re-arming/re-fuelling you get a neat sound of the fuel going into the tank, and the bug where the ground crew keeps asking the usual "hey where you going"! ie the process never completes properly, has been fixed.........good job ED. The Spitfire really is looking good now....and not just aesthetically!..... great job ED

I've been flying the Spitfire in the 1.5.6 Beta and noticed some changes that's not on the Change log list. The wobble pump has a much quicker action now and seems much more realistic. Nice change  It feels a little easier to taxi, maybe just me getting better? but there seems some improvement there. She seems a little quicker, not much, but wondering if there have been any FM tweaks? Anyone else noticed a slightly better fps? mine are up a wee bit in VR which is good, every little helps! Feel free to add any thing else you guy's have noticed in todays Beta release.....

So at a guess, and as it's releasing before 2.5, it will be added to DCS World 2.x.x along with the NTTR map or for those without the NTTR they would just install 2.x.x and have just the Normandy map installed? Seems the most logical solution to me anyways......
-
Yup.....Awsome news on the Normandy map there...... Looking forward to this map and all awsome missions that's going to be done by the talent in the community.

Oh yes........DCS WW2 here we come!!!!! :D FANTASTIC news Racoon.......brilliant. Made my day this has. Looks like they cropped Guernsey area out to the west side of the map, but give me Southern England on there any day. Now this is going to be awesome for fighter sweep missions in Normandy from Southern England prior to the 6th June landings. We now have a REAL WW2 map to fly in...... You guy's rock

I missed those landing craft, first time I've seen those.......neat touch. I'm hoping for, although no mention of it yet, to have V1 launch sites added in their historically correct positions along the coast. Now they would make good mission targets. ED have said they are adding the "Atlantic wall" confirmed in this newsletter - https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3001310&postcount=64 I found this resource site http://www.atlantikwall.org.uk/index.htm all about the Atlantic wall and both V1 and V2 installations are mentioned. Also here http://www.ramsburyatwar.com/normandy.htm for interesting places in Normandy along with a few recent photo's of the remains of a V1 launch site just south of Cherbourg. So fingers crossed these are added as part of the unit list.

Interesting......ASW doesn't work with Windows 7, never knew that. Would probably explain why I can't see any difference when I turn it on/off :music_whistling: -
Great news, thanks for the heads up Wags.

Yeah I know, and every time I try a different module in the Rift for the first time I get the same wow moment! Gazelle is great in the Rift, so is the Bf109, really gives the impression of how small the cockpit really is. Glad you like your new world mate. Have fun...... Now switch off and go to dinner before your wife confiscates your Rift!!!! :D -

Try this.... In game go to Options - Controls tab - on left tab ( where the aircraft list is) open it up and click on UI Layer at the bottom of the list. Bind a button on your stick for "Re-Center VR Headset" Let us know if it works....... Its like re-centering your Track ir -

Also dburne, some things that may help you out a bit tomorrow. The Inateck USB card I got, I also purchased a separate power lead (a 4 pin Molex to SATA power cable) to power the card as the ones supplied were too short for my installation, about 5" long and they wouldn't reach the plug I planned to connect to that came out the power supply in the PC. You may not need this if your power supply is near where you are going to put your card. Just bear in mind the supplied cables are not very long. The Inateck card I got had a Fresco Logic chip on it. I didn't use the drivers that came with the card. I went to the Fresco Logic site and downloaded the drivers from there. Here's the link :- https://support.frescologic.com/portal/home I had the FL1100 chip on my card so used the v3.6.9.0a driver. It's listed on the right of the page under Downloads in the above link. It worked ok for me. Otherwise the set up was straight forward. I'm no PC expert but this is what I did and all was ok. Hope this helps you get set up real quick tomorrow. Have a blast with your new Rift buddy. The Spitfire in the Rift will blow you away!! :)
