I could sit and talk to a man like that all day. I am a bit surprised at the lack of hype material on the Spitfire from ED too. But maybe pre-sales of the Spitfire are so high they don't need to advertise or plug it much......it does that for itself, after all.......it's a Spitfire! Well, I really am hoping for a Friday 16th release, I've got half a day holiday booked from work on Friday and all day Monday the 19th off to boot. The wife is off Christmas shopping and I've got some time to kill (been planning this for weeks!):D If Christmas gets cancelled......well, I dunno!

I just found this thread so apologies for the late post buddy...... Here's wishing you a speedy and complete recovery cichlidfan. One day at a time mate. You have got plenty of online support by the looks of this thread, and I'm adding mine to the mix.

Have you tried Aerobatics Online server? Yes there are still lunatics on there showing everyone what little skills they have!!, but also there are folks that enjoy formation flying too. I tend to steer clear of the F15 spawn airfields thus avoiding the "airshows"....I mainly fly either a helo or a prop aircraft anyway and have come across lots of serious guy's who can teach you a lot about formation work, which is harder than you may think! It's fun to jump in the back of an L-39 and fly with someone who can fly well in formation, another good reason to try MP.

I'm just out the age range on this thread......49 here, but feel more like 20 on the VA server! (AO now I think it's called). I started with "Spitfire 40" on an Amstrad CPC 464 back in 1986! This Friday coming I will have gone full circle on the Spitfire when our latest and greatest is released :D

I'm sure all the guy's that are experts in skins will address this after the Spitfire is released. I'm hoping for some great skins coming from the community for this bird :thumbup:

Hey SiTh, I saw your post (quoted above) on the elevators thread so thought I would start a new one for this.... On all the screen shots and Wags start up video I haven't yet seen the Cockpit side hatch open! Could you confirm one way or the other if this is implemented? Can we open/close this? It isn't a big issue but I think relevant to the Spitfire.
