Thanks SiTh

Hey SiTh, I saw your post (quoted above) on the elevators thread so thought I would start a new one for this.... On all the screen shots and Wags start up video I haven't yet seen the Cockpit side hatch open! Could you confirm one way or the other if this is implemented? Can we open/close this? It isn't a big issue but I think relevant to the Spitfire.

Yup.........two weeks :D

Awesome video Wags  Thanks for posting SiTh. One question if I may........the cockpit side hatch, does it open on the DCS Spitfire? I haven't seen one pic of it in an open position yet. :noexpression:

Well said Rock, agree 100% Beautiful photo there too mate, thanks for sharing it. Errr.....you planning on doing this skin by chance? :) Also I would love to see some of your work appear on the VA server Spitfires or should I say AO server now! when it's finally released. I was on there the other night and although its a great server, it just isn't the same somehow, don't know why and couldn't put my finger on it, but it just wasn't the same. Anyway hopefully we will see a return of VA sometime in the future?? :D Hey, what about Duxford now? are you guy's still going to be attending?

Same here. Happens all the time in multiplayer, only way out is to quit back to desktop. Very frustrating!

Shhhhhh........that's not a MiG-21 over Nevada is it?.....don't you know it's supposed to be a secret! :music_whistling: Well, you will need a helo if you want to pop in to visit a certain watering hole in Rachel and land in their car park :joystick: :D -

Fly up to Rachel in a helo and land in the car park there alongside the extratarestrial highway and take a look around ;) I haven't seen the black mailbox but someone posted a while ago claiming they did find it. -
What will be the first thing you do in the spitfire?
bart replied to flare2000x's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Classic  Brings back memories of a rather proud day I had when in the RAF. I took part in the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain parade in London in 1990. Big fly past, and the last two aircraft that flew down the Mall was a Hurricane and a Spitfire wing tip to wing tip VERY low and they peeled off in front of the palace one went left the other right. They must have been down to 50ft! There were lots of veteran pilots attending. A great story went around at the time that there was a big party held for them in London. A group of Polish veterans were going from their hotel to the venue and when the taxi driver found out who they were he refused to accept the fare. Nice touch that. Ahhhh.....so SiThSpAwN is testing the old girl :) cmon Sith...........what's she like??????? -

One of quite a few cool Easter eggs.........it's been there since NTTR was first released. Hope they add a few more in the up and coming "big" NTTR update  "Tarantula" I thought was a great B movie with good special effects for its day. -
Is the L39 really that noisy in real-life?
bart replied to Spacehamster's topic in DCS: L-39 Albatros
I was a propulsion engineer in the RAF and we got to carry out ground runs on aircraft. The tornado wasnt uncomfortable when that was running, even in reheat, but the Harrier....that was loud. You were sitting four feet infront of the fan and it was loud. Used to wear a headset to talk to the guy outside and wear ear plugs to boot. Good fun though........ -
Thanks for the surprise ED  Checked my email as usual this evening and BANG!!!.... made my day that has :D Pre-purchased of course. Roll on 16th December. Great Christmas present, thanks for the great work guy's. Can't wait to try her out. :joystick:

Q1 A Q2 C Q3 B Q4 A Q5 A There is only 1 module I think I want more than the Harrier ATM and that's the Spitfire IX.

I'm thinking madly.....but I still can't see it :( Good news there SiTh  Raises both hands and feet, all at the same time!!! :D

Why does the boom operator hate me?
bart replied to ScopeDope's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
The rumour I heard is the boom operator is a failed fighter pilot (no hand eye co-ordination apparently) and feels like he is now doing a second rate job. He basically has it in for all pilots and goes out of his way to make life difficult for em :joystick: Try not to take it too personally :D -

Guy's......check out the new "Bf109 out of early access" video that's in today's newsletter. There's a very short clip of the old girl flying in formation with a Bf109, at 0:43 boy what a figure!!! First time we have seen her live and in flight :joystick: :D

no, not that I am aware. They are stored in your saved games folder not the game folder which is repaired. I've done lots of repairs and it's never affected my control assignments. Just disable any mods you may be running first as it will remove these during the repair (just like an update would). I use JSGME for this.
