You can force correlate with Golf variants. I believe only the D variant does not have that feature, but I am not sure how it is suppoed to work on a Hornet or if the Hornet its self has the capability to tell the missile to do that

[CORRECT AS IS] AGM-84e does not work due to the datalink

There is a reason why such weapons are used primarily for strategic and static targets -

Ye, that would be a solution.... some vehicles can do more than the slider allows as well. I give em an initial speed and if they can do it I bump it up and see if they can keep up with the new one, until I find their limit -
Also happening with Avenger... If you are in a vehicle and someone is in an Avenger and locking something you can hear it. I have a video and big track in which it happens reletively fast in the begining, track might not work anymore tho

How I combat this is, if the unit is on a road and you want it to go off-road, put an offroad WP very close to where you want it to exit the roat and then you can put as long ones as you want, until you want it to go on a road again, then you place your last off-road WP very close to the road. The other thing is I stopped putting the slider all the way to the right, as apparently if you put the slider all the way to the right and the unit can't go that fast, desync happens (don't know if still true), but it seems to have an effect for me. Sometimes unit it still stuck even with above tips so I get in and drive it a bit and then give it new WP and it works. But yeah.... still a lot of pathfinding and desync issues -
Anyway..... do you have anything to show for Infantry's accuracy at that range, so to claim that they shouldn't be able to shoot at it ? I see no problems with being inaccurate at a distance against a small or moving target.... or even a static one with a lower skill AI. There are so many other issues with Infantry AI, like not being able to detect beyond their egnagement range, even if they are in flat, open ground, where you can see the enemy from kilometers away, or that they sometime loose sight after shooting with someone for a period of time, or how much more accurate US infantry is against any other type. RPG infantry man are not even that accurate... you have to be at around 200 meters to starte getting consistent, accurate shots. If you don't want them to engage, change their ROE.

Hey ED, are you seeing this ? ... you know where to contact Mustang... time to fix the horizon Bloom. Great stuff Mustang ! P.S. Watching the stream VOD.... why is the dust smoke effect a better fog effect than the fog effect :D.... it looks amazing

Not like they are more inaccurate at a distance /s Besides, you can shoot an RPG from whatever distance you want

I've also being told by an actual WSO that it works, the way I am describing it too (although on another platform), so who is right ? One person saying something doesn't always mean he is correct for what ever reason. I will try to get more opinions on the matter. I know it is an opinion at this point, but one system countering the work of another system, which already does a good job, doesn't seem right

A bit of a thread revival as well as jacking. Concerning my post, made quite some time ago.... the issue is, why is the missile not hitting ? In some cases it even actively dodges the helicopter (similar to an issue posted in another thread) There is no "bad" locks in DCS, when it comes down to CA IR launchers, you either have a lock or you cannot fire a missile. This is the optimal firing condition, no ground clutter, no maneuvering, no flares... why do these missiles miss ? Most of the time the missile doesn't even go for the heat source. Having 2 missiles hit out of 15 is not normal. Vietnam era missiles had better statistics.

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=267202 Here are your tracks. This is the backbone of the LASTE system. Ye, if it knows how much to correct to get it back flying towards the coordinates, why wouldn't it know how much to compensate upwind, so the sub-munitions flies into the target ? LASTE gives a release solution, which would ballistically make a weapon hit a given target, be it coordinates via CCRP or a CCIP solution (also depending on the weapon's profile). Once the wind corrected munition is released, it can its self guide/correct to such a position that it hits the target's coordinates. Your conclusion is the opposite of what will happen. Also, no need to give any coordinates of where the canister will dispense, don't know how you reached that conclusion. It is wind correction, not coordinates changing. What will happen when the weapon flies directly to the SPI and the munitions gets blown into the city right next to it ? (overexagerated). Are you trying to tell me that the solution is to guess how much offset you have to give via coordinates to the weapon so you can hope it hits, instead of the weapon using its sensors to do it precisely ? JSOW can have the same HOF set as a CBU-105 and as far as I've tested, it will compensate for wind, so the munition hits on target.

The navigation lights on Hornet shine trough the wings and body of the aircraft. The brightness knob is not functional

Damn, you are fast

Navigation lights disappear as you zoom in and get more visible as you zoom out. Lights Disappear.trk

This brings another problem..... CBU-105s on the A-10C in DCS make no sense. Let's take the CBU-97. What will happen when you drop a CBU-97 in CCRP, when your aircraft has the wind data, is that you will get a solution, which will fly your weapon in such a way, that the canister will deploy the unguided sub-munition upwind, so they will fly roughly into what you had designated as a SPI. This is true for CBU-87, 97, JSOW A, ect and in general all weapons. The system will compensate for the wind so when you put the CCIP reticle or follow the CCRP line, the weapon will be relatively accurate. Now, let's look at the 105. Weapon which was designed to be able to correct for wind, even if the system on the aircraft doesn't have the most accurate wind data, right ? What happens is, your CCRP will once more correct for wind, but the moment the 105 is released, it will correct back to a straight line towards your SPI (countering your CCRP solution) and it will deploy directly above your target and the wind will blow it away, off target. Well, sorry... but what is the logic behind that ? Might as well use the non wind-corrected munition. Way better than trying to do mental, mathematical gymnastics of how much correction I need to put so it hits the target.... Instead of the smart weapon working for me, I am working for it. Take into account my velocity, my dive angle if any, wind speeds at different altitudes..... Again, a weapon like a JSOW A, another GPS guided munition will do all the work for you and it will deploy in such a way that it hits. Same with an unguided weapons (with the aircraft systems help) I have asked an F-15E WSO about it (I know, different platforms), and he told me that the CBU-105 will fly to a point where when it opens, the bomblets will hit the target. Obviously, I do not have a source, which states how it should work.... but just following logic, might as well not have a 105 if it is meant to work as it is now. I would be happy to hear a logical explanation or reasoning of why it works the way it is now.

Ah yes, the only evening of the week in which I won't be able to play  Anyway, hit me up if you got questions regarding the huey, just a plain, basic, man's helicopter !

I would like to see shorter mission rotation times, I want to play Fight Island more often  By the way, don't know if that was what was discussed, but you can setup pseudo NDB/VOR stations for navigation, with the ME and some triggers.

The Il-76 has a pretty old model and AI damage models have been getting worse and worse. It can tank couple of amraams sometimes as well. I think you can shoot off 3 of its 4 engines and it will keep going. Might also be a factor
