I would expect it to be small, gotland perhaps?
-
I highly doubt they use AP only in the real DEFA cannons, that makes no sense but it seems the mirage does in DCS.
-
Focus less on COIN aircraft, the stuff that is required to make them enjoyable (infantry, proper fragmentation damage) just isn't in DCS as of now.
-
Yes, that has always been the case.

Yay! thanks for the update.

Congratulations on your first module release, i hope its a success for you guys!

Yeah that is common place in general, if anybody didn't know munitions also have a lifespan just like airframes do and every time you fly with them they slowly get degraded. That is why you see planes in peacetime often carry no missiles at all, very few missiles or fake training missiles. That said, i never seen any mention of those missiles being used on the Viggen at all.

Hoping to see an update soon, it seems broken in the current 1.5 build? Also baker, i would gladly pay for an in development build if that means that updates are more frequent.

- Have you considered doing an similar app but mainly exporting the Skhval/Radar displays of FC3 / Ka-50 aircraft or the radar displays and weapon control panels of Mirage 2000 and MiG-21? - Does this work with the current version(s) of DCS? I am assuming that this won't work with anything other then A-10C, i haven't tried it just yet as i am waiting for my tablet to arrive.

Schh! Don't give away our secret biological weapon programme, Surströmming is the cornerstore in that!

No offense intended here, but we probably should stop asking for "I would like x or y" and instead focus on the stuff that is officially announced or very close variants of those things. Polychop are already making a Gazelle, a Bo-105 and a Ju 87 Stuka, which is awesome.

Glad you are safe and best wishes!

I can't name them on the top of my head but you can go into the Mission Editor, place down a L-9ZA, make a "custom loadout" and check the pylons even if you don't own it.

Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway
Skjold replied to Starway's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Then i have only one question, is one of those many improvements free texture overhaul of the Caucasus map? I'm gonna guess no since although much less extensive, Starways textures were pulled from the base game earlier seemingly to faciliate the sale of this DLC. I hope that i am wrong and i will see actual improvements in 2.5. Starway, by no means do i think your work is bad or not worth monetary compensation for you. I am just of the opinion that it should come from ED and not from the playerbase. A better base DCS World is a good investment to create new paying customers. The percieved pay wall for new players of DCS is starting to look less like a wall and more like a vertical cliff. -
Caucasus Map Texture DLC by Starway
Skjold replied to Starway's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Very nice work Starway but as Caucasus is part of the free base game it really should be free. I don't approve of a model where you (ED) sell a cosmetic update for the free map that is meant to bring new customers in. -
109, issues to address before leaving beta
Skjold replied to ShadowFrost's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Hoping for heavy rockets (no matter how rare) and gunpods for the K-4 :) -
Thanks for the pictures, cool stuff! Yeah thanks for the clarification :)

Not everybody is as "hardcore" as you are, i think your perception of the playerbase as "casual" is largely correct but people have jobs, studies, families etc and they might just wanna hop onto the 104th for an hour or two to do some "Air Quake" instead of sitting through a 2 hour long briefing of a complex realistic mission and get nothing out of it. DCS does attract different players then CoD, CS etc, a much better community. People don't boast about "doing" your sister after trying to teabag you with a helicopter. If you want to truelly experience the "immersive and realistic missions with realistic objectives and briefings" public servers aren't the place for that, but rather organised events done by squadrons etc. I personally love Blue Flag, thats probably the one public server that runs fairly close to realistic objectives.

Wouldnt artillery batteries, supply lines & command posts be anti-infantry and targetting lightly armoured convoys? :P I never said what type of priority any target had, i never suggested it was low priority targets :) The statement was generic though, so fair enough.

The 120 kg bombs should be relativly harmless to anything but the lighest vehicles without direct hits but that isnt anything to do with Leatherneck but rather the weapon modelling of DCS as a whole. I don't know much about actual swedish doctrine but as a guess <- i would assume that the high number of low yield bombs are designed for anti-infantry operations or targeting lightly armoured convoys. Yes the RB 04E is the logical one and is confirmed, and the RBS 15 is confirmed aswell. If u didn't know, RBS 15 is the modern variant designed out of the RB 04, very advanced missile.
