  1. Whithout Chuck's guide, I'd still be doing a walk around in F2 admiring but not flying this bird. :) Thanks is not enough Chuck - but a big thanks just the same! Cats . . . .
  2. Is there one for "speed-sand"? :)
  3. Can't have it much clearer. The reading comprehension for some is astounding. . . . . :)
  4. If you blew your tires on landing, you are doing something incorrect. Landing is so smooth and at lower speeds now that the fix is in. I'm puzzled at your issue when others are raving the update to the flight model. What version is this happening in?
  5. I use FAST VSync and I find it works better than any other VSync selection. (using 48" TV as monitor)

  7. Thank you Sokol1, Very much appreciated. Cats . . .
  8. 72 and simming since 1985. Lordy!
  9. Easier still use USB code in Target L_WIN = USB[232] R_WIN = USB[227] note the square brackets. Just insert USB[232] where you need it. Cheers
  10. Just in the above brief outline, there does seem to be a complexity, should one wish to program presses. I currently use the Target Scripts for programming my HOTAS and can do much more than what DCS provides. I hope to be able to do the same/similar with the MCG. Looks like a bit of a learning curve to work with two programming sets. I still will use the WH Throttle. Thanks for the feedback. Very interesting and helps. Cheers, Cats . . .
  11. I'm getting a little concerned - not for the quality of the product, but for after sales support and programming capability of the software. Sort of reminds me of the phrase: beware of buying a "pig in a poke". :) I'm right on the cusp of leaving my order in or withdrawing.
  12. MCG profile AP question Apologies if this has been asked before - I would like to know if the buttons/switches on the MCG can be programmed for a press or release or hold option - similar to the WH Target Script. Thanks,
  13. I don't mind the "phone home" process but . . . . I would rather have it so that it only stops running the program if the user name/pw is linked to the computer hardware. So, if on a sign in perhaps 6 months later there will be no issue running off-line or online during sign in periods. Should another copy phone home with different hardware within that time, or any time - it terminates execution of the program and advises to checkin personally to register the new Hardware linked to the pw. Only one cpu/mb at a time permitted. Good job overall guys!

  15. Yes, in the old Fm, I had to keep speed around 165 so she wouldn't sink and be unrecoverable. Now, I've been on the marks at 135 and still flying the approach. Interesting.
  16. That's why I've just made my decision to buy VKB's new MCG complete. Especially for the base gimbals.

    New update

Hi pngflyer, As an average - it seems that when a new update is introduced to the Beta branch - providing no major bugs are found by the community and further evaluation by the beta teams that it is stable - it can be between 1 and 2 weeks sometimes within a month. It really depends on the nature of the update. As far as early release aircraft, they are not usually released to stable branch until all features are working and no game stopping bugs are found. Early release on the beta branch, then full beta branch, then stable branch is the usual sequence. Cheers, Cats . . . . ps: I gather you prefer to fly only the stable branch - you can change your install to a beta install and back again to stable if you want. Very easy and saves having to download both branches using up valuable HD space. or . . . . like many of us - have three installs - 2.xx, 1.xxbeta and 1.xxstable. For me, I just have the beta branch and 2.xx on my system. Of course, this will all be moot in a few weeks when the merge is expected to take place AS A BETA. :) see post: #3034 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3304607&postcount=3034
  18. Agree on the airbrakes. IMHO, seems they should have more responsiveness when applied.

    New update

When the beta is finished. :)
  20. +1 From a 7 year WH owner. Waiting for my VKB order to come. I prefer the VKB to the Virpil because of the variable analogue/Digital switch capability, high quality components and better fit and finish from what I can see.
  21. I resolved it by running "Repair" and then the install showed.
  22. +1 I've had to trim to keep nose from dipping too low. Also, dips and stays there when airbrakes are applied even at 300 knots.
  23. +1
  24. Plus outside beta tester. Those were the days.
