It appears to me to be a difficult process to try and combine two different aircraft types into one system. Generic controls, IMHO, can handle this easier in the context that there is no specificity of aircraft type. By not producing two discrete designs, they may end-up by having a system designed by committee. (ie., a camel instead of a horse)

I have the WH throttle and it is quite old and getting worn out. I will go for the Orion for the following reasons. The grip buttons are a replication of the F-18 button sequence. The base switches also are a closer match to the F-16 and . . . . an F-16 grip is coming. The throttle base will fit my FOX Mount base I use for the WH throttle. So, I will not be mounting it on the desktop and therefore, the grip angle might be something for me to consider.

I'm thankful for sure. Wanting to go for the Orion because the footprint will fit my TM throttle exactly. Cheers

Thanks Phil, Info sent to NineLine. -
Just read on Discord from WW that this information is entirely false. Repeat FALSE!

Well that put a hold on my purchase!

Have my Warthog since they first came out. Long in the tooth like me and ready to replace. However, I have enough sticks. Just want the Throttle. Better happen soon as I will have to focus elsewhere - not to mention always being out of stock. Good stuff but ready to give up.

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
Davee replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
He usually does as part of a release campaign of modules. I expect it shortly as I see the Mossie in the Web Page banner which also usually just precedes the video. -

Hidden behind the new clouds? -
Yes, a known issue for some time. Hope they fix this soon.

Happened to me for a bit then I turned off "start in full screen" and it now seems to work OK. Worth a try.

Bindings for below not double bound? Fuel switch? Electrical? Magnetos?

My understanding of the A-8 was that it was mainly designed for ground pounding and the D-9 for high altitude bomber interception. For me, I will take an A-5 or A-9 for air to air engagements.

I gave up today on this issue. I tried everything I could think of including what has been posted above. My solution: I reverted to a previous version and all is OK. Except for the button assignments for the Speedbrake.

Very Basic 6800XT vs 3080 Question
Davee replied to jasonbirder's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
My CPU is water cooled. I can't see it drawing that much power. A few fans managed by temps so not always on full. Considering the performace of either card, I doubt I will have to OC as I do now with my 1080 so power draw will probably be factory stable. -
You are not alone. Mine is the exactly same and also now in the latest Stable also does not work as we have defined. Same problem here using DX128 commands. It is not Target that is the problem, but how ED have changed the retract brake link. The way it is working now is as the default works without without defining a different key.

Very Basic 6800XT vs 3080 Question
Davee replied to jasonbirder's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That is very good to know. I also have a 750W power supply Gold Standard new. With my Asus Z490 board combined with an RTX3080, a site that evaluates this combination advised over 850W power supply is needed. There are so many variables to figure out - particularly OC requirements. Thanks for the feedback. -
Very Basic 6800XT vs 3080 Question
Davee replied to jasonbirder's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You will have to have an 800w plus power supply for the 3080. 750w for the 6800xt So amend your shopping list accordingly pending your choice. -
Thanks for the feedback Finnster, I did not think of the wind factor so will check to see what those conditions are.

Sound Modding: How to tell what sound file DCS is playing
Davee replied to boosted-lt1's topic in DCS Modding
Jaffa, I really enjoyed your sound mods. Best anywhere and always the most realistic inside and outside the cockpit. Sorry to hear that you left the SIM. Best to you! -
For me, I can do a perfect curved approach at the correct speed crossing the threshold, correct pitch and power settings, touchdown is very good, roll out is good UNTIL, near the end of the roll-out it will suddenly veer - usually to the right and the left wing digs in. Frustrated - any hints much appreciated. Cheers
