  1. Hi BG, Nellis seems to disregard the wind direction thingy. I've also been on approach many times in accordance to wind direction only to be waved off because aircraft are taking off towards me with the wind (not a breeze) on their tails. :) Needs work I'm afraid. Also, reference to runway numbers in accordance. Cheers
  2. In a PM to me, WinWing indicated it was in the works and they are working hard on it. That's all. A sneak pic or two would be great to confirm that it is not vapourwear!
  3. Yes, I have seen this. I don't expect to see anything like this in the mainstream market and it it was made available, the price I suspect will be beyond the pale. I really would like to hear from TM, Virpil, VKB, Winwing with real information (I know they don't want to indicate to other manufacturers what they are doing.) that for which we the consumer can plan.
  4. You can save a lot by dropping all the RGB eyecandy on memory and other components for example.
  5. Title says it all. I hear from "hear and there" rumours of F16 Throttles in the works. Specifically WinWing. But the sound of silence abounds. Some developer, any developer - would you mind just indicating yes or no on the F-16 Throttle and not just a wishful reply but . . . . do you have one in either design or prototype. It would help us poor common waiting to pay a bundle virtual pilots greatly in making plans and budgets for buying. Thanks to anyone with verifiable information. Cheers.
  6. An old video with Jeff Ethel flying shows just that. Going from ancient memory, once lined up with the runway at approx 600 ft. alt., set flaps full and keep power on around 15% I think he said. Do not play with the throttle because of the torque. I can't recall the pitch settings but I do recall him keeping the approach around 130 knots. He leveled over the threshold and as the nose came up the speed dropped and he just flew it onto the runway gently cutting the throttle after wheels down.
  7. Just file it down. Simple and works like a charm. Then you can have a little resistance and if needed just push it through. Easy, Peasy. Info can be found on Youtube. For the P47, I have adjusted the throttle curves so that at the detent, the engine is at the first redline and when I push it through the detent, it goes to max.
  8. Thanks very much for the feedback on this. Always wondered about the value of going this way. Now I know. Very much appreciated. Cheers
  9. Just curious along the lines of M.2 - with two identical M.2 drives, is it of benefit to configure 2@ 500 Mb drives in RAID for Operating system and DCS? Does anyone do it? I'm looking at a very similar build to the OP. Also, what are the timing specs of the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 memory? This is an area I always have difficullty in choosing the best memory chips.

I checked your change also and it is the correct line. Suggest start again from the original file and change it again using notepad++ and save the file.

If you are using just notepad, download and use Notepad++ instead. The lines will be marked for reference. (line 24)
  12. Hi BN, Thanks again - my bad. Had the wind direction arrows reversed in the ME. Question: Were the wind direction arrows changed at some point? Cheers
  13. Thanks, who would've thought wind speed would be required to set ILS.
  14. Thanks, I did have wind direction set for 23. But I see a previous poster indicating a minimal wind speed required? That is interesting.
  15. Title says it all. Incirlik ILS Rwy 23 111.70 not working ILS for Rwy 55 works fine. Thanks.
  16. Title says it all. Beirut Airfield: The threshold of Runway 17 is block by a large residential tree. ILS approach puts you into the tree. Thanks,
  17. Do you then have to use the radar signature to find and lock up the bandit or should there be an auto radar lock on the nearest BVR? I'm not clear on how this is supposed to work.
  18. No, I think we have different experiences. Like I said, full settings, high fps. Super clear, no stutters, no lag just iIMHO, perfect. Maybe you missed the OC part? No sense in misdirecting a person to a higher than required card.
  19. [quote=LucShep;4461207 If DCS 2.5 is one of your main sim/games, and considering it's very demanding even at 1080P, then I'd NOT jump to a 1440P screen unless you have at least an RTX2060Super or RX5700 equivalent or better graphics card. Otherwise, you'll find yourself cutting and compromising graphics options to maintain performance (which IMO kind of defeats the purpose of the monitor upgrade). DCS runs just fine 32" on all maps at 1440 all settings full with a GTX 1080 oc.
  20. Cannot complete download of Syria Map. Error popup stating "Hash Mismatch". I did a cleanup and started to re-install and got the same error message. Downloaded and working about 1 hour later.
  21. Good news! A clarification please: by TM-Optimized base do you mean to connect to the large original TM Stick Ring? I have the VKB early TM stick modification to mount to the existing VKB Gunfighter MkIII base. If it is the large TM ring adapter, will there be a retrofit package to change existing gunfighter bases to use it? or . . . . it is the base with the existing GF adapter assembly sold as a combination? Thanks for the information and any feedback. Cats . . .
