  1. Excellent news, thank you, Katze And joined.
  2. SolidKreate, Many years ago now, I was a founding member of a group of Flight Simmers who would get together nearly every evening to research the history of various historical aviation genres. Once we garnered enough knowledge we would then, for a calendar year, re-enact flights according to what we had learned on our chosen subject matter. We used Microsft Flight Simulator FSX, a terrible platform to fly combat operations on but we had many talented people with some incredible skills that enabled us to create some terrific scenarios with the use of AI aircraft, effects, etc. It is a long story. However, one year we decided on flying operations according to the exploits of the 34th TFS based at Korat, Thailand. Flying the Thud we flew sorties into North Vietnam, Laos, etc. To research the history we reached out to many people and organisations. We spoke with big names such as Ed Rasimus and Dave Waldrop, both of whom were absolute gentlemen and gave us an inordinate amount of first hand information. We also were introduced to the Red River Rats Society, now called the Red River Valley Association. This organisation was incredibly supportive, they gave me cockpit recordings of radio chatter during missions, as well as reams of documentation that one would normally not receive, all on the promise that we would simply promote their website, which we were more than happy to do with every YouTube video we made of our flying. It helped a little that our group consisted mainly of ex-fast jet aircrew from the US and Europe (two of which served in Vietnam Air War as aircrew, A-4C and F-4B), "Bart" Bartholomay was our resident F-4B man, some may know of him as he managed to "bag" two Mig-19's on his second tour over Vietnam. I am digressing, the point I would like to raise here is if you are seeking any assistance in promoting a Thud Module for DCS then you cannot go wrong by contacting the River Rats. Here is a link to their website: Red River Rats Association Edited for typos.
  3. Been experiencing the same issues and on an Nvidia card, I removed the UH-60L mod and DCS started to work again as it should. I left the the Hercules Mod in place and it doesn't seem to bother my DCS at all, so in my case, it is very definitely the UH-60L.
  4. Desperately in need of the F-8. Nuff said.
  5. Excellent photo Roobar. More please!
  6. LOL! Excellent! The British MoD are now approaching Hawkeye with the hopes of securing an exclusive deal to supply the future needs of the British Armed Forces! WTG Hawkeye, brilliant
  7. Wind the rubber band tighter?
  8. I know I shouldn't ask... Buuuuutttt.... Any news?
  9. You forgot the H.S. Buccaneer! Being the ONLY aircraft of worth of course... (ducks all the flying beer bottles). I would also add the Canberra PR9 and T17 to that list, as well as the VC-10K, H.P. Victor K2, L1011 (tanker), and finally, of course, Avro Vulcan B2/K. ???
  10. Personally, I would love to see a Type 42 Destroyer (batch 3), which must be one of the most attractive Royal Navy designs: RN Type 42
  11. One of my bigger peeves (along with the annoyingly bad ATC) with DCS. ED, any chance of having a look at the Visibilty for us when you have time?
  12. Well said, Sir, and hear, hear.
  13. Wishing you all the best and a very speedy recovery.
  14. I have also experienced the same issue earlier this year. The MER's would not show for love nor money for months, then, one day... They magically reappeared. I wish I had a solution for you but I cannot for the life of me think what would cause them to reappear.
  15. Thanks for the reply, CrazyEddie.
  16. Have been looking for something similar myself.
  17. This is looking wonderful, well done!
  18. Flappie, thank you very much. The issue is fixed. My friend followed your last reply and hey presto it worked. So all is good with the world again. Thank you so much for your help there, top bloke.
  19. TrackIR Software has been uninstalled, PC rebooted. Opentrack started, DCS started, no joy. There is still no TrackIR column, no head movement. Opentrack software uninstalled, PC rebooted, Opentrack reinstalled, PC rebooted... DCS booted... No TrackIR column, no head movement. We are at a loss as to why DCS is insistent on the Naturalpoint Software running and is ignoring Opentrack. As a follow up to your previous suggestion, Flappie, the gentleman had reinstalled DCS so everything was in a "clean" state, whilst the config folder you mentioned earlier was present the input folder was not. We are both very grateful for your help with this.
  20. Hi Flappie, Ok, are a considerable amount of detective work, Discord screen sharing, and more than a fair share of swear words... This is where we are at... It would appear that the gentleman did not uninstall Natural Point TrackIR software before installing Opentrack, having "upgraded" to Delanclip just recently from TrackIR. Now, Opentrack is not being recognised by DCS but, if he opens up the Natural Point TrackIR software DCS recognises this and the TrackIR column is present. He has now uninstalled TrackIR software, etc and this is as far as we are up to at present.
  21. Hi Flappie, I hope I am correct in assuming that we are looking in (for instance) C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin for the DLL you have highlighted. Neither my friend nor I have that DLL in the bin folder. My DCS and Delanclip are working perfectly despite not having that DLL... He is now trying to run a DCS cleanup and repair regardless, which will obviously take a while.
  22. Thank you for replying so quickly. We are on Discord voice and are trying what you have suggested as I type this post. Will let you know the results.
  23. Here, here, well said.
