  1. Yep - its in User CP/Edit Options/Visible Post Elements/Show Signatures.
  2. Unless You're implying that the F-35 is the creation of Rosoboronprom :smartass:
  3. А что за профиль DCS.EXE?
  4. I would agree with AlphaOneSix - all those signature pictures and bars make reading the forums a real headache. Though, if there is a way to turn them off, I wouldn't mind.
  5. Am I wrong, or they put the An-124's nose to the C-17's tail? :book:
  6. On some motherboards some SATA ports are realized through a separate chip, not the south bridge. Connecting high speed devices to such a port usually results in deteriorating performance - maybe you should try changing SATA ports?
  7. Wow, since Hawk is in the lottery, I just have to participate! DCS Mig-21bis :-)
  8. I can report, that if I hold down the mouse button, then I get the same FPS as in 1.2.6 for the Su25-T. Another thing I noticed is that the ingame FPS meter behaves strangely - it shows a frequent variation of 60 to 50 FPS in my case, whilst if I hold down the mouse button it stays stable at 60.
  9. This draw is a magnificent idea, full of Christmas spirit and festivities! Unfortunately I already own all of the modules, but I wish luck to all the participants :-) Huge respect to cichlidfan!!!
  10. 1.2.7 FPS drop Disturbing news. I have ran a simple mission of a Su-25T flying low, straight and level over Tbilisi without any player interference and got a sizable FPS drop using the same game settings (no AI traffic, all settings maxed out, zero bushes visibility, cockpit shadows and mirrors off and no other units on the map). DCSW 1.2.7 beta Average 54.983 Minimum 51 Maximum 60 DCSW 1.2.6 Average 64.750 Minimum 60 Maximum 69 I haven't got a chance to see whether video quality settings have anything to do with it, I do recall however, that changing antialiasing in 1.2.6 didn't really influence the FPS rate - maybe something changed in this aspect. P.S. I do understand, that 1.2.7 is still in beta stage and things might change... hopefully. P.P.S. FPS measured by FRAPS.
  11. No servers... :-(
  12. Will 1.2.7. beta allow to connect to 1.2.6 servers?
  13. If I had to do it all over again, I'd stick to the Su-25T, girls and booze :-)
  14. I am confused too - I started to learn the Ka-50 and Shkval operating routine is definately different from that on the Su-25T.
  15. The first time I did strafing passes - I am very bad at hovering, unfortunately :-( For the second time I simply placed the tanker near the shore, landed nearby, aimed at the ship and pulled the trigger. Killing it with strafing runs would have taken too much time.
  17. I have recently tried to sink the "Elnya" tanker with the UH-1H. After running out of Hydra's? I have made quite a few strafing runs with the machine gun and, to my amazement, have managed to sink it. Well - if the UH-1H was equipped with a cannon I can imagine that could sink a ship, however I seriously doubt that a machine gun could do it... Is it possible to sink a ship with a machine gun IRL? Or is it a limitation of the current damage system in DCS? P.S. I do recall that ED did something, so that buildings could not be destroyed by cannon shots, maybe the same should be done about ships and machine guns? P.P.S. I reran the mission and have managed to sink the "Elnya" tanker with the machine gun only (not using rockets). It did take half of the available rounds though...
  18. Well, although it might be seen as cheating, it is generally the same thing as if the Su-25 would have been fitted with a consumer GPS navigator. Actually - I have seen a picture on the Russian forum of a Su-25 cockpit with a GPS navigator - i think the plane took part in a Day of Victory (9th of may) parade, though I can't seem to find it.
  19. I think, it is not only that but also the way DCSW utilizes CPU cores right now. We have one core loaded by DCSW and one core loaded with the sound engine. I guess, that these two do not interfere with each other. So even if we free up one core from working with the sound engine that does not take the burden of the other core running the game itself. So even if there would be a performance boost from using a standalone sound card, we wouldn't see it on CPU's with multiple cores. That's my reckoning at least.
  20. I think You should wait until EDGE comes out and see what configuration will be better.
  21. I am very new to multimonitor configurations - is there a way to display the F10 map on a second monitor? And how do I switch between them then?
  22. That would be rather odd - perhaps you would run a test to substantiate your view? ;-)
  23. I have ran a mission with sound turned on and sound turned of (muted in the DCSW settings, of course) - FPS is the same in both instances. I would guess, that getting a dedicated sound card would bring some performance gains only on a system with one CPU core. While DSCW utilizes only two cores there shouldn't be any performance increases - check it out for yourselfs.
  24. Will having two separate installs affect in any way the number of activations/deactivations of the modules?
  25. Flagrum Sorry - must have missed that :-)
