  1. Are you sure it doesn't? Just asking... Now that I re-read the manual, I think the lockout position is maybe momentarily, with which you switch to "manual throttle", then move the throttle back immediately anywhere between FLY and IDLE, as power requirement dictates it. Wrong?
  2. Not that I could suggest another, more practical function for the HW trim axis right away, I just don't see why would you assign it to a function with discrete positions, if you can command those with keypresses, and only do it once during every flight anyways. At least at the beginning, until there is no use for the lock out function that converts then to manual throttle control for emergency.
  3. Also check special tab, if you need finger lift to pull to advance lever. If so, uncheck I guess.
  4. So, at 20% press RAlt Home. If it doesn't work, check your key binding, it should be that, by default. Does it help?

    AH-64D VR

Yes, IHADSS (and aircraft HUD for that matter) symbology is always focused to infinity in real life. Then you pick up VR playing the sim, and to save your eye from focusing back and forth, everything else is also focused to infinity. So some1 is also right, maybe this explains it a bit more. The "same distance" is infinity in this case.
  6. For the Apache you would need 2 levers to do that. Otherwise how do you want to start up engine 1 and 2 separately with one common throttle axis for both engines? Plus throttle settings are discrete positions, which you only touch once, or if you do shutdown too, then maybe twice during your the entire flight. Completely enough to use RAlt Home and RShift Home in my opinion.
  7. "Recenter VR/view?" function can be found and binded in the "GUI functions" or something similar in the control setting list, at the end of all available moduls. (Or maybe in ABC order?) There is also a zoom (and an extreme zoom with some funny name) function for VR in that same GUI list, you can't use the Axis command for zoom AFAIK...
  8. THanks for correction, maybe I dont remember my choice correctly.
  9. Did you go through the startup tutorial? Clear as day. And do not confuse throttle with collective.
  10. I use the same, but it doesn't disables my pedal trim. When flicking Trim hat up, need to recenter pedal too. Will check again tough...
  11. Looks to me you binded to your own physical Throttle rather the ingame Throttle, instead of the in game "Collective", and should rather using keypresses for the in game throttle setting, which are discrete, with no need to analog control. You have to touch those only at startup anyway, but collective is used constantly. In short, instead of in game throttle, bind your in game Collective to any of your WH Throttle levers. Or maybe, did you invert the axis for throttle? Helicopters increase collective by pulling on the collective, aircrafts increase engine powewr by pushing the throttle "up". Sorry if something misunderstood on my side.
  12. And how do you want to start up the engines one by one (we're talking about Apache, right?), if the heli has separate throttles, but you have one slider on your WH Throttle?
  13. Now it looks like we can't disable it, need to opt for any one available in the drop down menu. Would be a very useful option to unchek pedal trim. To much kicking around with any of the pedal trim functions enabled. I dunno how is it IRL in the Apache, but I guess the Mi-8 was like this from the get go.
  14. RShift+RCtrl+ NP 8 or NP 2? Then saving with RAlt NP 0?
  15. If you release your joystick back to center and press Trimm hat up momentarily, it does just that, resets trimm to center (unless you have a FFB joy with "no center", I guess?...). If there is no such button / function like that IRL, why would we need an extra button for that in the sim?
  16. And it is enough just to look into the mirror too...
  17. No intention to lecture you, but If you want to know how much button and switches you WOULD need on a stick to be anywhere near reality, please open up the Keybind screen, and select HOTAS section after selecting your own module (F-16). And if you want to learn it, then learn to walk first, and then learn how to run afterwards. It is much more rewarding, than jumping in the middle of it, and start shooting up stuff immediately, before you learn how to manage the aircaft for simple flying. YOu can download Chuck's guide, and start reading it, and doing in the sim what you read in the guide. No pun intended.
  18. "...it will always be a compromise between precision and TCD speed. " If you adjust curve, 100% deflection on the joy mini-axis will still mean 100% TDC speed in game. "End speed" of TDC only reduces if you put in saturation, where full deflection of your joystick's cursor axis means less than 100% deflection in game, no matter what. I have I guess a curve value of 65% and dead zone of 6 (TM HW, for the TDC depress function to keep TDC on target when depressing). So until I'm close to the center position, TDC will be very slow/precise), but if I push it towards full deflection, TDC accelerates up to "full speed".
  19. If you add a curve, then it will not. If you adjust saturation, then it will. (Of course if we are talking about analog axis).
  20. Hi Guys, any tips how to take on enemy fighters at coaltitude if we both have Sidewinders? Thanks
  21. For your own health, don't you take a final look at the announcement line on the left DDI HSI before taking off? By the way the plane director gives you the unfold wing signal when you turn onto the catapult, if you turn onto the catapult behind the JBD.
