  1. I'm not sure if the Normandy Map will be a freebie unless you were a backer. Maybe SithSpawn has some input on that.
  2. If your old F-15 profile was prior to 1.2.8, and you've updated to the latest version now, the input file format is different and the easiest way is just to re-create them from scratch. Backup the C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input directory. Delete the same directory after backing it up. Start up DCS World and go set up your controllers in the options.
  3. I consider takeoff to be getting airborne, so I have nothing to contribute here.
  4. Dogs of War comes to mind. http://www.webfortress.com/dogsofwar/ I believe you need to register on the forums to gain access but could be wrong on that.
  5. A friend with cats swore by the critter cord. But I have no first hand experience personally. http://www.wikihow.com/Keep-Cats-from-Chewing-on-Electric-Cords-and-Chargers http://www.crittercord.com/critter_cord.html#i
  6. Wish they would have added the gun/missile switch to the F-86 controls instead of lights. But, progress is progress!
  7. Pretty sure that's the max it will take off one module. See section 2, number 2 for details. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/faq/bonus_rules/
  8. I like the nose to be slightly heavy (falling) when landing, not sure if that's proper procedure. I like having the tension of the stick already pulled back to keep the nose level when flairing.
  9. I try to keep both in balance at the same time, while lowering the flaps trim down at the same time. Release the flaps down if the nose still rises until the trim catches up and then lower again until the flaps are where you want them
  10. Thank you kind Sir.
  11. Just using the Ctrl ; key, it takes about 5 seconds for it to start up recording. Think you need to have the overlay activated but not on in sim also. Recordings in DCS have been blank, but it has worked fine in Metro Last Light and several other games I've tried, so it seems to not like DCS World.
  12. Been reported, seems it has something to do with the RWR. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127518
  13. If gives off quite a bit of smoke, but it's more puffy than cloud like I guess.
  14. Haven't had to touch them since the change from .lua to .diff.lua for existing modules. As Azrayen said, the saved games folder shouldn't have a change unless a module has been added afaik. What does the "I'm doing this properly as I had previously for other updates" mean? Maybe say how you are doing it and someone can save you from it in the future.
  15. It uses the login from digitalcombatsimulator.com, not the one from the forum. Not sure why it says is already in use if you are not logged in, unless someone else is using it.
  16. I definitely understand that, feel the same way with a lot of aircraft! :pilotfly:
  17. I think Skulleader's pic explains it, the lift is greatly increased when the flaps lower and the nose rises. If you watch the vertical velocity it increases also. Can't say if it's over exaggerated or not as I've never flown an F-86 before but is pretty dramatic for sure. You see the same thing on the A-10 when on final, the FPM rises quickly when you lower the flaps, just not as dramatically.
  18. Looking forward to it, always a good show.
  19. It was said in a post on here that they are still a WIP, so not functioning correctly yet in the beta.
  20. Actually looks like the entire skin changes, tail markings and several other things change.
  21. Well, RAPTR got an update and the game doesn't crash now when you activate the GVR and go into the sim to record video. (They changed the recorder name from DVR to GVR). The bad news is it just creates empty .mp4 files in the video directory. At least it's a step in the right direction.
  22. Yea I haven't seen a release like that pic posted shows. I noticed in TacView that they appear to just go straight up, lose all energy, and start to tumble back toward the ground.
  23. Third post here has one: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127433 It's actually a lot of fun, but not accurate by any means. IRL I imagine it didn't need to be really accurate.
  24. Another thread said one should be available in a few weeks. Let's hope!
  25. You can always set up the mouse stick in the SST software with bands and assign the slew keys to them. Many use it that way for the TGP slew in the A-10 and radar slew in the F-15.
