One single module price is not so expensive if we take in consideration the work level needed to be built and the target audience. These modules are not SciFi things which can be done by devs feelings... these modules required elaborated documentation, testing with real pilots and so on. On the other hand, real pilots are not supposed to know to operate more the 5 planes... actually here is exagerated ... I think 3 is a more real number. So, what I was trying to say is that is more satisfying to be proficient with several modules only, rather than own all of them and not being able to operate them with good results.

Guys, did you ever considered there might be some technical limitations which lead to the current status of versions distribution. In this case the Starforce keys exchange between STEAM and ED is the main reason. Not easy to do, maybe some non-productive claims from Steam, etc. So, let it like this. You can easily go from Steam to ED distribution, not the other way around. STEAM actually is here to add some new people into it. That is an opportunity that have to be used by any game producer these days.

What could be the reason for such behavior? I did not have any issue running old profiles on 5.3... very strange what happens to you.

Differential updates - this is not rocket science and is already in place as I was able to see. Right now things are a bit more complicated, engine updates are more frequent and this is what gave us such big amount of data to download.

Just uninstall 1.2. I did it long time ago. Untill 2.0 will become stable version there will be a lot of problems. Keybinding on the other hand is a long story and you will become use to it after almost every updtae for a beta module.

Very much appreciated this plane. My impression about flight model is that it feels a bit like on rails. It is very responsive and extremely precise in moves. Flying inverted is perfectly stabile with 0 input on joystick for example. I am no expert and I would like to check others opinions too !

I can see only advantages to DCS to drag general aviation over it. It will be a chain reaction: - general aviation will require bigger maps - bigger maps will require more ground control (ATC) - infrastructure being created will attract more users to DCS - more users to DCS -> more devs -> more income - more income -> new engine developments - new engine features -> new worlds to attract - vehicles, trains, ships, firs person... Maybe a dream, but it is a feasible with the right amount of interest into it. Not a DCS MMO world is what I want, but a complex world where interaction and diversity will be the key word. DCS it is and will remain the brand, no matter what is standing for ! Military stuff is and should remain this game baseline because this one brings the right amount of adrenaline to players, but not exclude anything because of this. They just need to be done with the already known fidelity as what DCS is today I (and know for sure others too) still dream for a game were DCS/X-Plane or variants/ARMA/Eurotrucks/spintires/train/bus/tram can be founded together... still dream about it.

I do agree with you, however I encountered an signifigant performance degradation with last set of drivers from Nvidia.

Nvidia 361.43 - DCS SLI malfunction I am wondering if my problem affects other people too. Since installed last Nividia drivers 361.43 the SLI functionality with DCS is literally destroyed for my GTX770 cards. I cannot go higher then 30 FPS no matter settings I was tried with Nvidia inspector. It works much better when is using single card and I have easily 45 FPS. (these FPS ratings are for 4K resolution) As to complicate things even more, Arma3 for example is working a lot more smoother now.

Not all orthodox, its about the calendar in use by that country. In Romania for example Christams is on Dec 25th and we are also orthodox.

Most of ED team are Russian, so that their Christmas is on January 7th. They are using Gregorian calendar... On the other hand, 25th is the perfect day because Mirage is an already purchased gift for me and my son :D. So please ED and Razbam, make it happen !!!!

Don't get me offensive, but you might heard too much :). Don't bother reading thousands of ranting posts on forums or other comments because these will keep thinks progressing. Latest Win versions are far better then what was some years ago. XP is a legend indeed and we have to read about its greatness from old stories.

I also know people who kept their black and white TVs with the screen toward the back wall because they considered they were spied. Win10 is a win for now :). You can use whatever drivers you like, you will be asked aboout non signed drivers and with your accept the installation can continue. Win10 has better graphic scalability and look on high resolutions like 4K. Just go for it! :)

I was waiting EDGE to upgrade my OS to win 10 and to have a clean DCS installed. So that, after OS clean install I had installed only 1.5 and 2.0. I'd wish to spend more time playing them but I did not managed yet.

You might need to find a second g940 on ebay for spare parts. I was using to my joystick a setting of 80% FF just to preserve internal mechanisms and to avoid extra heating.

Hard to answer to this. Mig21 is already here and is known as a milestone in flight simulation and even in DCS. Mirage have to came to prove it, even Razbam is a well known aircraft producer. Wait a bit longer to see the reviews and until then buy Su27/F15C to enjoy fast movers at lower prices.

HOTAS should be first of all durable and precised. Saitek does not excel on either of these two. The only one for now achieving both goals is the Warthog. However, I have a G940, not the most precised or durable either. But I have preferred to tune in heavily by changing even the controller for thrust. I have added to it some extra set of switches and buttons... all these because I cannot play without ForceFeedback. G940 Joystick precision is as good as any other 1024 bits joystick with no weathering factors becasue is contactless, based on hall sensors. G940 general ergonomy is also very good and it fits for both big hands and small hands (for kids).

I just went to 10 Home. If you need Remote Desktop on your PC then you have to go to Professional. Anyway : 10 all the way !!!

I am sure because I was playing with settings too much time. Win 10 have been installed from scratch ,not as an update, and now I have only DCS 1.5. At its first start resolutin was like 1024 × 768 but full screen directly.

I have updated to Win10 and the upscalling issue disapeared completely for both DCS and Arma3. So it seems it was related to Nvidia drivers.

I do not share the same opinion with you. Arma3 is also using fictional names in a fictional time period, however the logistics there are as close to reality as possibile. Nobody is upset on this. We can enjoy DCS and we have to use what it really offers to us: exposure to some technologies which are not reachable for 90% of us in real life. That is the real purpose for DCS, not to make history, to rewrite it or even more to make politics. But what is more important here is that anybody is free to create their own campaign an use real names, so it is nothing about pushing fictional only. It is a matter of choice... as far as it concerns me I really don't care if I will see a battle between Jupiter and Saturn. DCS will be the very same.
