  1. First impression: Visually gorgeuos and very impressisve. Great job by ED. But I must admit I am a little dissappointed about performance. A clean mission often had me dropping down into the 40's, ( I run a gtx 1080. Usually stays around the 50-60+ ballpark in NTTR and CAUC) obviously over citites, but also at major airfields. With populated mission this will get more intense. However- I am not that worried. Day 1 of an early access, it will get better.
  2. This has already been discussed- at length- in other threads though.
  3. This was posted quite a long time ago- I guess this might be an early build?
  4. The KC-135 drogue tanker is in game- but does not work (at least for the M2000c). It responds and extends just fine, but the probe just goes through the basket.
  5. Hmm.. I am always running MSAA x2 and the pixel problem is still there..
  6. Looks great! Love the continious updates as well:) Great progress!
  7. He mentioned it before. It is a side affect from DCS drawing from folders, rather than the default zip-archives. The fix I assume would be to merge these files into their "mother" zip files. Either way, its a small price to pay:)
  8. No. No old texture models release in the 1.5 era will work for 2.X. Starway har neither said anything about re-doing the mod at this point. Mustang is the first with a terrain texture mod for 2.5. It has its own thread here. Others might follow later, but nobody knows.

    gamma

Yeah. Drag the gamma slider in graphics settings.
  10. 88 mm flak puffs still broken in multiplayer. Only the host sees them.
  11. Tested and vouched for. A superb step in the right direction!
  12. "For free"? I paid for the Spitfire and map AND assett pack- I asume you (and almost everyone else ) did as well. This has nothing to do with charity. Nothing is done "for free". They picked up the mess, turned it around, which is nice- agreed. Still: the map is underdeveloped, a beta at best, and these people have a right to express frustration as to the handling of the issues above, as they have all paid a good amount of money for it. I understand that NineLine have taken this up with UGRA- and now we have to play the waiting game. Fine. But there is still valid reason to be frustrated.
  13. I did not work. But I had something strange happen: Spacebar work fine (as you can see) outside DCS. But in the DCS controls menu, it was not recognized. (All other button recognized) I chose spacebar from the roll down menu to "fire/relase weapon" but no dice. Also tried to two "fire" buttons on my hotas, but still nothing. Strange.
  14. Will check it tomorrow:)
  15. Downloaded the training missions today. Tested 2 missions. A2A missile and Red Flag fam. The "Press spacebar to proceed" does not work on either. I have nothing mapped to it.
  16. You don't 'want' to leave it on when it causes artifacts, screen tearing and glitches, no.
  17. The problem is not that they have started another map. It is that this one is drifting dead in the water without develiring very simple and basic features they themselves said they would. We are not expecting a revolution here- just basic, concrete fixes that the communty has pointed out and they said that they would fix. Some tweaking of the colourbalance, moving a few buildings around (Move permant buildings FROM the ad-hoc landing ground TO the permanent ones), get rid of the 5 kg stone boulders littering the ground at all airfields, get the concrete runways where they should and consider staying in touch with the community. We are loyal, paying customers, and we all want the best possible solution. Many members here have provided tons of valuable and accurate info that can be used to fulfill the maps potential. The community has been very helpful, and dare I say it- very patient. By all means- do Syria, but consider our input and requests. I dare say they are not out of place.
  18. Check the first Spitfire trailer. Airfields had a way different texture before they decided to move away from it. It looked superb in comparson.
  19. Update from newsletter 20th april 2018 "Since the map’s release, there have been several improvements like new period objects (windmills, water towers, farm houses, etc.), better beach lines, corrected mesh errors, cleaned up textures, and more detail in the England portion of the map. Currently, Urga Media (the developer) is occupied with their Syria map. However, once the Syria map is complete, we will discuss with them further improvements to the Normandy map like use of speedtrees." Looks like the concrete runways and reworked airfields turned out to be not as "soon ready" as we hoped from Ugra Medias update 6+ months ago. They have moved to Syria instead.
  20. No it's not modelled. Also- the oxygen system in the spit should be opened gradually. The only current option is ON og OFF. Leaving it on will spend the oxygen in a very short time (at least the last time I checked). Considering that Spit pilots could stay up for around a couple of hours (with tanks) on escort missions at angels 20+, running out would be inconveniant. Hope they will model this sometime in the far future.
  21. Maps are spaced out, I would assume due to manpower, dev cycles, and to build hype around the coming releases. With the Persian Gulf map on our doorstep, there is no reason to expect news, updates or progress on these other maps, other than that they are lined up to be done later. Don't expect news on these maps for many months yet.
  22. Stunning video!
  23. Reported this in "Multiplayer issues" as well.
