  1. Great Mod, this is ED's default: and this is Sabot's Thanks again for sharing it
  2. Looks fantastic, thanks a lot for sharing it. i’m not at my pc at the moment, but will download it tomorrow Cheers!
  3. I understand that this sounds is heard when a radar locked target is detected by the R-3R missile, but I get the sound when the target is still around 10 Km away and the LNCH light on the ASP Optical Sight is not yet illuminated, and on the radar screen the LNCH light is also not illuminated. Is this normal behaviour? My belief was that the lock-on sound ahould be heard only once the Launch Authorization is attained. Will record a video to illustrate this better.
  4. wait for the spring sale, around March 13th, just in case it is discounted
  5. Hi, thanks a lot for confirming that it isnt just me ... I added the [Bug] tag as it truly seems like a bug now. now, if I could only think of a workaround ... perhaps using Mist or Moose?
  6. Not strictly military, but hey, I thought it was a fun video:
  7. Not sure I understand what you mean .. I use the EDIT - LOAD STATIC TEMPLATE menu command of the ME, I don't have Afghanistan yet (waiting for resolution of ED-RB conflict before purchasing), but on Sinai I get this:
  8. Hello all, I'm editing a training mission about radar employment, and I have noticed that the radar "sees" the radar contacts before I actually activate them. On this image, I've just turned on the radar and it already shows contacts ... the funny thing is that the contacts do not exist yet, as I have not reached the mission point where I will activate the corresponding aircraft: Here is how the intended contacts are defined: And these is the trigger where I activate them, after I've done the radar self-test: Does anyone knows of a work-around for this bug that I could use? I wan't to keep the contacts out until I'm ready to introduce them into the training. Thanks a lot for any help with this, Eduardo
  9. I support the wish, but your above affirmation is simply not true: Feb/2025: 2 updates Jan/25: 1 update Dec/24: 3 updates Nov/24: 2 Oct: 3 Sep: 1 etc Sorry to nitpick, but inventing facts to support our wishes rubs me the wrong way.
  10. Agree, sorry I forgot it .. also on this list should be the I-16. My guess is that the upcoming La-7 and F-4U will sell well and are pretty well-known, so they do not belong to this Module category. Cheers!
  11. My guess is that this is the true reason. Developing a new DCS module represents a big investment and you need to be certain that your sales will at the very least cover that investment. There are exceptions that explain the existence of less famous aircraft on DCS, for example the C-101 was the result of the love that its spanish developers have for it, same for the JF-17 and even the current Viggen is the result of the love a swedish group had for it, they developed it without much regard for if it would be profitable or not.
  12. I wonder the same, as some posts look like teenager stuff
  13. BASE_SENSOR_PROPELLER_PITCH is the name of the Parameter, "0" is the value it had at the moment I recorded it. When I'm using a Parameter, I usually have to do a lot of trials and testing, whenever I discover the full meaning of one, I take note of it on my own documents so I'm able to re-use it on the future ... but there is a lot of trial-error in the process. I employ the LUA Console component of DCS-BIOS, which is a software used mainly by people who build physical cockpits for DCS, as this allows me to check parameters values during different phases of flight. This is an old software, but it still works for me, here is more info:
  14. This is the list I have on this, the values correspond to an in-flight status Spitfire Parameters.txt
  15. None that I know of, multiplayer mission making is much more difficult than a making a single player one, while at the same time the buying public for such a mission is smaller, so it would be a wrong business decision to develop a MP campaign instead of an SP one. If you wan't to fly MP, go into a Server and meet with your pilot there, you could then have as much fun as a SP campaign can offer.
  16. Then the best option is to replace your drive with a bigger one, even if you get to split your terrains on individual drives, it will be just a short term solution as your storage needs clearly are not being met by your current drives.
  17. it's on windows command prompt, if you are not comfortable with this kind of operations please get help from a more experienced friend, as bad linking can impair your DCS
  18. hello, thank you all for sharing your thoughts on this
  19. Yes, you can make a hardlink for the Maps folder, so that it points seamlessly to a folder on the other drive. The default name for the original folder is: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains you can create on D a destination folder, for simplicity I suggest keeping an identical folder hierarchy, only that its on the other drive, like: D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains The command to create the link is mklink /J terrains "D:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\terrains" You will need to delete the terrains folder on C (after you moved its content to D), as the link will take the place of the folder.
  20. Great review, thanks for sharing with the community
  21. Bump, no one has had this issue before? Here is a draft of the mission I'm editing, where you can see the clouds I'm using: Also, when I place the radar in Low Alt mode, the radar contacts I had at that point vanish, and return when I switch back to just Sidelobe compensation ... my understanding of the manual is that this could happen only with the farthest contact, not all of them. Hopefully another user can tell me what I'm doing wrong, please? Cheers! Eduardo
  22. You already copied the entire game, why don't you simply test it by launching DCS, to see if its performance is good enough for you?
Salu2, Eduardo
