  1. Strange ... they show up fine on my updated DCS:
  2. or set your aircraft as belonging to the Combined Blue forces.
  3. agree, and it is surprising how much of the real aircraft procedures still apply to the FC version, as I discovered when I wrote my own kneeboard for the type: https://1drv.ms/b/s!Ai6cuX3YQI26hqUxVfRSQdqiqaUr_g

  5. Yes, but Belsimtek wasn't really an independent 3d party, as Matt Wagner said on a 2019 interview "BST was originally set up as a branch of Eagle Dynamics as a 3rd party example as a business practice. With the establishment of other 3rd parties, it no longer made sense to keep that staff under a separate entity. They were then merged back into Eagle Dynamics."
  6. +1 fully agree and I couldn’t have said it better
  7. ) three? This is really generous, thank you … I truly love this map, so I look forward to fly your Campaign, wish you lots of success with it. Best regards, Eduardo
  8. The exclusion only prevents the AV from deleting suspect files IN THE FUTURE, you still need to recover the file that the AV removed prior to you setting the exclusion: on stand-alone DCS run the DCS_Updater repair utility to recover the lost file, on Steam run the Steam integrity check tool.
  9. For all Skyhawk fans out there:
  10. Sorry, but I can make my missions using the current ugly AI just fine. Huge? really? ... to me this is just aesthetics. First of all, the aircraft depicted are not the propriety of the Mod creators ... ED would have to acquire a license from the trademark owner in order to place, say, a C-5 on the Sim. Plus of course the task of adapting the Mod to work trouble-free with the rest of the DCS core, and the maintenance work in the future (testing that the AI still works correctly after every DCS update). As these AI aircrafts do not generate income for ED, you have to understand that they are then done at a very low priority compared to the rest of the development work done at ED. Surely you realize that using this kind of terms is demeaning to the work that the people at ED is doing, other people could easily say that having such great expectations for a freebie is a joke too, isnt it? The AI are there, having prettier versions is hardly a fundamental issue. I use a Mod Manager, to easily enable/disable user Mods at will, the only inconvenience is that I have to restart DCS for the changes to take effect. As I said, those are just aesthetics, and I don't know why they haven't been included yet ... perhaps on testing they found that the performance was too low on the lower-end PC of the average user? Frankly, to me it is still amazing that we can have so much detail on a consumer-level software, DCS still blows me away every time I fly with it, no other Sim that I've tried cames close. Best regards, Eduardo
  11. true wonder whats the difference between a poor and a good load? then your install has an issue, my DCS loads everytime. Anyway, I don’t want to be tempted into reproaching you in the future, so will add you to the ignore list for a more enjoyable experience on this Forum.
  12. Another great video:
  13. Agree .. I love a fast startup as much as anyone, but choosing this kind of detail to gripe about when you are a newcomer to this Sim is a bit much ..
  14. It doesn't, its a matter of resources and a FF module producing income, vs an AI aircraft that people expects for free.
  15. unlikely, I expect the Mirage F1M to be released first ... looking forward to it
  16. Hi Mizzy, I doubt it. Heatblur promised a Draken AI as early as 2018, but it has not been seen yet after all this years: Edit: actually it was announced late on 2017, here: I had high hopes on a Draken user Mod that a group of Moders were developing, but unfortunately its progress stalled during 2024 ... it showed great promise and the Group had previously delivered the Saab Sk60, a high quality Mod.
  17. Ok, its been a while since I last adjusted this parameter, let me check it tonight and then I will get back.
  18. you are using values too large, they are in meters so 0.9 means you could move your head 90 centimeters back and 90 forward from your rest position, same for the other axes. Try to stay within 0.1 (10cm) of the default values.
  19. close to zero ... a Hawker Hunter or an EE Lightning would gather much greater interest (in my opinion, of course)
  20. agree, I'm more attracted by the F-104 paired with the Germany Map
  21. Yes, I intend to, but will start with the Rocket employment first and then dive bombing, which is more suitable for accurate bombing.
  22. The manual says "The Autopilot stabilization button-light (LV53) activates the “STABILIZATION” SAU mode, which dampens aircraft vibrations ..." so, the pressing this button alone only gives you a dampened flight stick, this is not the same as the "hold attitude" of other aircraft's AP. the manual goes on to add "and stabilizes current aircraft position if stick is relieved of forces (using trimmer) and not held." ... you can relieve the flight stick by pressing J once the LV53 is active ... at this point you will have the Attitude Stabilized (just the attitude, the aircraft may lose altitude if the bank or pitch-up is too much.
  23. one’s gotta love statements like this, generalities with zero proof .. only serves to have new users avoid the module, when in fact it can be a very entertaining and worthwhile experience, such a pity
  24. on my side , I will happily edit my own missions and/or modify missions of other aircraft to fit the new bird. I tried MP during a year and a half but eventually got tired of the rudeness of many players, guess I’m not social enough, as I seem to enjoy dcs best when flying alone with myself. I’m not nitpicking, but on dcs the ww2 modules are in the 40-50 us$ range. Simming as single player is much more than fliping switches on a cockpit, but I’m not trying to convince anyone, I intend to please just me. on dcs each developer has the freedom to pursue the aircraft they are passionate about, ED is not forcing any given theater on them, in fact only one ww2 aircraft seems to truly be an ED child (the mosquito), all others are from either 3rd parties or salvaged from the kickstarter.
  25. Yes, J only has effect when Stabilization mode is active. yes it's not the same, engaging just the Stabilization does not provide ATT hold. Why don't you simply test this yourself on a short flight? On the real MiG-21 the function is "release pressure on the stick" ... the simulator mimics it with the J keystroke.
