  1. Yes, that's right. I could have started my own thread dedicated to the updated VPC Mod, but felt it would have been a disrespect to the author of this Mod, so I never did that, instead directing people to my post only.
  2. They were together : I can't place that information on the first post of the thread because I'm not the thread's author.
  3. The error is: "ERROR DX11BACKEND (9064): Shader "/shaders/model/fake_omni_lights.fx" failed to compile. Reason: warning X4717: Effects deprecated for D3DCompiler_47" It seems that the fix you have is too old, try mine instead: VPC fix for 2.9.6 (by Shlee).zip
  4. This is the error: "ERROR EDCORE (5132): Can't open file: /shaders/model/fake_omni_lights.fx." Seems you only installed half of the Mod, the VPC Mod has two components: one goes into /Saved Games/ while the other goes on the DCS program folder itself, like this: On my PC those missions do work, just tested one of them: I'm on other projects at the moment, so can't really provide more detailed help on the install of the VPC mod, sorry. Eduardo.
  5. the problem with renaming assets, is that any mission that used those is rendered obsolete. I’d prefer to keep the original name
  6. those c-101 missions are from 6 years ago, so that vpc link points to an pbsolete Mod. try this updated version instead:
  7. That announcement was about the AI units provided for free within the DCS core at the launch of the Corsair ... it said nothing about an assets pack. And adding a US$ 30 pack cost onto the price of the aircraft seems odd to me.
  8. Not me, I purchased the Corsair as soon as I was sure its 3D shapes would not be encrypted:
  9. The Corsair was released just a month ago, I sincerely doubt that ED has such a short development horizon. However, I truly hope that the Corsair has sold well, as that could mean a Mig-21 Remastered on the future.
  10. Did you know that many of those Mods are not fully authored, but use purchased assets that not necessarily allow their use on a payware product like DCS?
  11. Same here, and I supported the developer by buying the Gazelle some years ago so I felt a bit cheated to not have a discount when the OH58 came out
  12. good to know, guess I will have to purchase it then I'm so glad to not be a fan of the MP scene, so I couldn't care less of this so-called "community splits", if they don't want to purchase it is their choice, just don't ask to use them even if they chose to not buy.
  13. Make sure that you don't have the spacebar binded to one of your controls, for example many people have it binded to the gun trigger.
  14. On DCS, Campaigns are files of type .cmp not .exe. Campaigns function within the DCS environment, so you need to run DCS first, and then load the Campaign there. If you place the Campaign files on the location suggested by its documentation, then on DCS you find the Campaign under its "Campaign" menu Item, and then select "My Campaigns"
  15. Me too, for example for the Viggen I have: I had to number the campaigns, to have the 3 built-in ones show up first, and the remaining User Campaigns are on cronological order. Another example, the Mi-24P: the Phantom: The Hornet: the MB-339: well, you get the idea
  16. Thanks, I will retry it tonight and let you knew how it went ... on the original video I missed the message that I had to start the engine already, I tought that I was still on the preparatory phase. I do use a keybind for the starter, which also opens the cover first, taking advantage of my HOTAS which allows me to bind a sequence of actions to a button, like this: BTN H3U /I /O /P /H Starter_cover_open Starter /R Starter_cover_close which means: Hat3, Up button, alternate action none (/I), main action: On Press do: Starter_Cover_Open, followed by the Starter (which is held until button release). On Release do: Starter_Cover_Close
  17. Yes, correct, I use keybinds for the mixture, which give me just 3 positions for the mixture lever. Thanks for the tip, I will retry it tonight
  18. While you can certainly place the folder within /Saved Games/ as suggested on the Campaign Manual, I opted to place it within the DCS program folder, like this: As the Corsair does not yet have a built-in campaign, I had to manually create the "Campaigns" folder and place the "Corsair School" folder there. Note that the name of the Campaign's Folder is not critical, so I renamed it to credit its author. If you ever do a DCS Full repair, this folder I placed within DCS will be deleted ... so, make sure to have a backup copy somewhere else, or employ a Mod Manager. Cheers!
  19. Couldn't resist and I gave the 1st mission a try, but for some reason I get stuck on this step: May I suggest, that since this is a Training Campaign, have all missions start with a base score of 50? ... this way you won't fail the Campaign for small issues like this? Cheers, and thanks again for sharing this Campaign Eduardo
  20. the ability to walk-around the aircraft is the only aspect of your list that I would truly enjoy, but I do realize that on a Sim where the majority prefers auto start, it is one of those features that most would try once and then forget about it because they are short on time for this hobby.
  21. This Campaign is just what I like on DCS, as I love learning each aircraft. Thank you so much for the time and effort that you have spent on this, will giveit a try as soon as I finish my current commitment
  22. I can totally understand the frustration when this kind of thing happens, but on my own case the files I share is work that I mostly do for my own enjoyment, so if I eventually share some of it for others to try, and then it seems to not be other's cup of tea, I don't really care as it's for my own enjoyment and so it can't be time wasted. I came onto this thread because I've been porting the Corsair training missions to this Map, so this is the first post that I see about this Mod you did ... don't know why I didn't read about it earlier, did you do a thread about it? For my own files I almost always open a forum thread about it, as it's much easier to get user feedback there than on the User Files section. Hope you can reconsider the sharing of your work, as I'm intrigued and would very much like to try appropiate trains on my future missions for this Map. BTW this is how the ported training is looking like (I did this with the blessing of the missions original author): Eduardo
  23. did you download also the required Mandatory Co-Download, VF-24's Commanding Officer Jet? I don’t see it on your screenshot.
  24. This happens to me as well, and I do not use VAICOM. I noticed this bug as I'm editing a training mission for the Mirage 2000, where you need to have the kneeboard open to reference the starting position when preparing the INS alignment ... everytime the user presses Spacebar to advance on the training, the open Kneeboard will page forward one page ... really annoying
  25. You can use the Module Manager to uninstall an aircraft, but keep in mind that DCS keeps all your configuration for that aircraft saved, so if your problem is caused by bad configuration it won’t be solved with a reinstall.
