  3. the YT pause feature is your friend
  4. Thank you so much, will try it out now ... this is a natural for the Nevada Map
  5. Hi all, I'm currently re-learning the View Controls of DCS, but have found very little documentation on this subject, certainly it is not explained on the DCS User Guide nor on each Module Flight Guide. Does anyone know what the figure commands do? Of course, I'm right now trying them in-sim, but if anyone already has a Guide or Reference it would be most helpful. Thanks, Eduardo
  6. Wow .. it makes me wonder how most of us ever learned DCS when we were neophytes ... honestly, I don't remember it being a fight. I first knew about DCS when YT suggested a DCS video to me. At that point I had some prior knowledge, after having played Flanker 2.5 and Lo-Mac, so I wasn't put off by its 1990 architecture ... I remember having started by reading the Sim's manual first and then looked for DCS tutorials on YT, best ones at that time were those by Bunyap and Robert Sogomonian ... it was not having a bad first impression at all, on the contrary, the learning process was very enjoyable to me.
  7. To me, the surprises were in other aspects, like: More people own the Mirage F1 rather than the JF-17, which is 2.5 years older 1 in every 3 users own the South Atlantic map. More people do MP than SP, I would have thought that SP was prevalent, maybe the sample survey has a bias towards MP? 3 of each 4 players own the Supercarrier, I would have expected less since all the debacle about splitting the MP community Cheers.
  8. I'm not ... the F-18 has been available for 18 months longer than the F-16, so that could explain why more people own it. I find they are both about the same complexity, and the Hornet has the added difficulty of learning to operate from a carrier.
  9. I do not shut down my AV either, but I do tell it to not mess with the files that are within the DCS folder. As you wish, but one question: How do you know for sure that the file DCS was updating is indeed a malware? ... do you trust McAfee more than you trust ED ? Not an ED problem, its the antivirus the one wrongly flagging a file as malware.
  10. I have no fix for your issue, all I can say is that on my just updated DCS my F-15E works with no issues:
  11. that’s probably because you are a new user and there have been just a couple of updates since your registration. If you search for "mcafee" you will find lots of users that have had the same issue on the past few years. well, Im not a native english speaker, so I may have misinterpreted the "nicely done" on your post … to me it looked like blaming ED. Sorry if you meant different.
  13. The module manager screen has three "tabs": modules, terrains, and campaigns. Click on the latter to see the campaigns you have installed.
  14. so … you have a crappy antivirus and somehow it is DCS to blame? .. nice pd: you can buy whatever you want, but Windows does include a free antivirus that is pretty decent.
  15. yes, it’s possible… however Multicrew has some syncing issues.
  16. SSDs are very light, you can easily attach them on any free space within the tower using velcro strips and a bit of superglue, the result is like this but without the fancy plate and screws:
  17. There used to be a super useful tool, by @ajax, which listed the liveries and bort numbers ... it looked like this: ED later adopted the Show/Hide capability, but the bort numbers and skins were really handy to catch errors.
  18. You control time with a set of keys: LCTL + z : accelerates time LALT + z : decelerate time. LSHF + z : brings time back to normal Most modern Campaigns, reset time back to normal automatically whenever there is a message or sound from the Campaign, but can't remember if BNBOB supports that.
  19. Hi First of all, thanks a lot for revamping your older Campaigns, I flew it on the first months of 2019 and would love to fly it again ... I have a small question, is there a way to make sure that I have the updated 2.0 version? .. the Module Manager does not say "2.0": and the Campaign's wallpaper is unchanged: I checked the documentation PDFs and none of the documents mentions 2.0 .. also the Normandy Map pdf shows the old smaller Normandy. Is there a chance that the update didn't make it into todays release? Thanks a lot and best regards, Eduardo
  20. The manual (page 119) states that the Manual Power Reserve mode is not to be used for more than 5 minutes. It increases power from 4,304 lb to 4,700 lb, a 9% increase.
  21. Not a military video, but on an aviation topic seldom seen ... this is how they change an airliner tire at the boarding gate:
  22. El parche salio hoy dia, hara ya unas 3 horas. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/changelog/stable/2.9.4.53549/ El fix para el software de Oculus esta en el primer item.
