Hello, While researching for a training mission that I'm currently editing for the MiG-21, I came across the User Manual of a Mod of Flaming Cliffs 2 that added a flyable MiG-21 to the game, these were their developers. So, I then checked the manual of our current MiG-21 and found a very small note that states: "Note: Parts of Cockpit Model, Exterior Model, Cockpit Textures, and some Weapons are made by Laszlo Becz at beczl Studios." Just out of curiosity, does anyone know more details? I'd simply love to know more about the genesis of this DCS Module that I enjoy so much. There is a user @beczl that could be the account of one of the developers, but its been years since he last visited the forum, so I can't reach up to him. best regards, Eduardo

Yes, it has been suggested many times: https://forum.dcs.world/search/?q=stand alone editor&quick=1&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_and_or=and This is the closest I've seen until now: https://dcs-web-editor.github.io/dcs-web-editor-docs/

Is the F-86F supposed to be able to fire guns on ground?
Rudel_chw replied to LCO489's topic in Bugs and Problems
On the F-86F the Weapon Safety is done with the Gun-Missile Selector Switch (OFF – SIGHT CAMERA&RADAR – GUNS – MISSILE), on the OFF position all weapons are inhibited. Now, if you are on the ground, and then set this switch out of OFF, into the GUNS or MISSILE positions then, yes, you can fire the machine guns on the ground: -
Thanks a lot for your kind words. I've added another mission to this pack: M05 VFR Landings. Details on the 1st post of the thread. Next I intend to do a Mission about the Radar employment. Cheers!

Thanks a lot, I didn't find it previously because it is classified as a P-51D mod ... will give it a try for sure

Hi Max, Which Mod? there is nothing like that at User Files I would fly the Mosquito a lot more if it had some kind of autopilot to use while I handle the radio & navigation

ahh, ok, its just that I have a soft spot for people who likes to correct the grammar of others. -
DCS already has a Colossus class carrier, the "25 de mayo" … maybe a livery could be enough for it to represent a british ww2 carrier.

[REPORTED] X: COCKPIT PARAM IN RANGE only accept integer values
Rudel_chw replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Mission Editor Bugs
This is off-topic on this bug-report thread, maybe you should initiate a thread dedicated solely to the Mosquito Parameters available, but for now the RPM parameters of the mosquito are: BASE_SENSOR_LEFT_ENGINE_RPM BASE_SENSOR_RIGHT_ENGINE_RPM The value go from 0 to 1, like a percentage of maximum rpm. -
maybe they used the SCENERY REMOVE OBJECTS ZONE trigger when editing the mission to be filmed.

Truly great video:

Additional Training Missions for the F-15E
Rudel_chw replied to Rudel_chw's topic in Missions and Campaigns
No, sorry, I stopped editing missions for any Razbam modules until the conflict they have with ED gets solved .. the Falklands Map is the only Razbam product that I still actively use. -
You should have read the whole thread:

[REPORTED] X: COCKPIT PARAM IN RANGE only accept integer values

yes, this kind of trigger is used on the mosquito’s training missions. -
No, not an update thing, the default keyboard bindings for the Hornet have not changed, it has always had the space bar assigned by default to the gun trigger: You can check the default keyboard bindings by looking on the folder "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Input\FA-18C\keyboard" ... look into the file "default.lua" The solution is simply to unbind the space bar and fire the gun using the joystick trigger's (or any other button you prefer) ... but this solution is on the user side, the mission designer at most can only document the issue so that the Campaign user does this unbinding on his DCS.
-
It has always been like this, the Spacebar and the Backspace are special keys for use with the Mission's trigger logic and the solution is simply to avoid binding them to aircraft controls.
-
Make sure that you don't have the Spacebar binded to the gun trigger, only bind the actual Stick's trigger. This is because on most missions the Spacebar is used by some triggers to interact with the player.

I have that same skin and it works fine: So, I doubt that the skin itself is at fault, more likely you have installed a user texture Mod that is conflicting with the skin.

I just tried my L39 (its a long time since I flew her), checked my mappings and the Throttle Idle lock was operated with RAlt+Home, once the throttle was out of Idle, the lever moved as expected: Attach your dcs.log file, to look for more clues about your issue. It seems strange that the RAlt Home doesnt work, as that rules out a duplicated axes binding ... maybe you have a user Mod that is conflicting?

FREE Campaign : Mi-8MTV2 - Palestrael 25
Rudel_chw replied to dggoofy's topic in Missions and Campaigns
I fully understand, the same happens to me .... maintaining old missions uses up a lot of time, time that I'd rather spend on editing new missions instead -
Nothing has changed, KB will use the path that you set on its preferences, on my case it is this: The DCS saved games folder can have whatever name you set as long as it starts with DCS: DCS, DCS.Openbeta, DCS World ... on my case I used DCS.296 because at the time I run an older version of DCS alongside 2.9.6

I understand, thank you so much for clearing this up … I will use this information on a landing training mission I’m making. For some reason, the button to mark your post as solution does not show up Bedt regards, Eduardo
