  1. My point was: "why an improvement should be free", I understand what you all write, but none addresses what I wrote.
  2. I don't really see why this should be so ... only improvements to the free assets I expect for free, but an improvement to a 10-year old Module? why? did the developer not invest any resources developing this "plain" improvement? I find this attitude of "everything for free" quite disturbing, no wonder many don't believe the developer when it discloses how many man-hours went into it.
  3. That's a real shame, as it limits their usefulness a lot (at least for those of us that intended to create whole libraries of ready to place SAM and AAA units). Hopefully ED developers can fix this limitation.
  4. I understand, I considered that alternative too, but it forces us to have one such template for each Map that we have
  5. Hi, I’d love to know how other mission designers are organizing their "templates", for now the best way for me is to have a whole MIZ as a "palette", with one sample of each template, that I can open and then copy from it onto my actual mission, but it is cumbersome, as the Editor can’t hold open two missions at a time.
  6. Prior experience with the C-101, the A-10C II and the Blackshark 3, had taught me that skins are specific to a 3D model.
  7. Check on the Module manager:
  8. I agree .. and it goes beyond just liveries, I enjoy editing training missions but with this new F-5 I can’t load its cockpit model on modelviewer 2, making it impossible to check which arguments each cockpit element uses .. so, no more missions of this kind for me
  9. I understand that there is people that takes an existing livery, copy-pastes a few logos and stencils, and then shares the result as if it were his own creation, credits be damned
  10. They look great, here is the website link: https://authentikit.org/spitfire-mkix/ Honestly, I thought it would be much more expensive that it actually is, hopefully you will gather enough customers to sustain this project well into the future. Cheers, Eduardo
  11. \Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\F-5E-3 works for me.
  12. Agree, but I'm worried not so much for the Skins, but for missions backward compatibility. Have not yet tested it fully, but I wonder if I will be able to re-fly some of the F-5 old missions and Campaigns, since the new F-5 in effect disables the old one. Why ED did chose that instead of having both aircraft coexist? I was expecting the same
  13. You can't have a new 3D model for the aircraft while at the same time preserving compatibility with the skins of the older model.
  14. That's odd, as it works on my end: This is my fix file: VPC fix for 2.9.6 (by Shlee).zip
  15. Hi, Just wanted to add some background info on this aspect of Chile's F-5E: On January 1997 a Contract was signed with the "Tiger Century Aircraft" company of USA (https://www.tigercenturyaircraft.com/products) for the provision of 16 air refueling kits, at a total cost of US$ 5 millions. The kits were installed in Chile on 1997-98. Best regards, Eduardo
  16. That's why rather than merely complain, I pinged one of M3 developer's, just in case he finds my artwork good enough to include on a quick update of the MiG-21. I'm using this fix successfully on my Single Player missions, as I also don't give a rat's behind for Multiplayer's use
  17. Hi, thanks a lot for the report, I completely understand that sometimes real-life gets in the way of DCS ... we will have to wait, I'm flying the F-4 and the Mig-21 in the meantime, so not in a hurry Looking forward to your Mod, creating missions for it will be a nice change of pace ... once released I will pester an artistic friend to see if he can paint an argentinian livery for me, to use the Lanc on the South Atlantic Map posing as a Lincoln:
  18. It doesn't work for me either. Also, the MB339 has a "SEAT" parameter, but its value is always "0" irrespective if I'm at the from or at the rear cockpit. May I suggest that you report this on the Bugs & Problems section of the MB-339 subforum, so that its developers can take a look?
  19. OK, let me check.
  20. what aircraft are you using?
  21. I'm not ED, but on my view these wish items are kind of useless, as the end-users have no idea how much development effort a wish requires, nor have them any idea how many development resources ED has available for such wishes after discounting the resources already committed to on-going projects. That means that most of the time the users make wishes that can't be granted. To me, what is important is the bug reporting ... but useful bug reporting, with enough information to be able to reproduce the bug ... just a simple "this used to work and now it doesn't", or "this bug has existed for many years and is well known, so no need to describe it again" is not useful at all and most likely will be ignored.
  22. No problem, having less than 32 GB was just a guess ... now looking at your log it shows a networking error: "Login failed with code 502", so maybe there was a temporary internet error with the DCS authentication servers. Does your issue still persists?
  23. Use the saturation sliders for that.
  24. Hi, Here is a User Mod that I've been using to employ the LUA files that you shared earlier, with the fixes suggested by @LCO489, I added also the Kneeboard information and its in OvGME format: MiG-21 - RSBN for Sinai Map (by Hiromachi & LCO489).zip The kneeboard pages added are: If you believe them to be useful, feel free to employ them in any way you like. Best regards, Eduardo
