I try to do this as well, but often forget to save after every update to controller profiles. It's a lot of micromanaging of the controller profiles when it could be the easiest and simplest thing ever if we can just keep the OG files that DCS saves by default. It also takes up a descent amount of time (granted way better then starting from scratch) as I have most of the modules and 4 devices (~35 modules x 4 devices is 140 save files). This should be exceedingly easy and it's not. Part of that blame falls on DCS, but this problem only serves to amplify DCS's short comings.

You are a life saver! Literally just saved me hours and hours reprogramming all of my controls. Thank you so much for sharing this. VKB needs to get it together for their software support. I've been dealing with this same crap for years. Honestly ready to jump ship.

Came back to the KA50 after not having flown her for a while, understand the optics aren't as good as the Apache, but I don't recall it being so difficult to find and identify targets. Have I just gotten spoiled or has this been negatively impacted by all of the IR model updates that ED is currently implementing?

What speed ram do you have? Have you locked in your infinity fabric to be at a 1:1 with the ram speed? AMD CPU's benefit a lot from higher speed ram up to about 3800mhz. I think hardware conucks covered the benefits of using higher speed ram with the 3d.

It's the opposite. If you select high performance WMR automatically reduces the resolution and upscales to increase frame rate. If you want the best clarity you have to select the high quality settings. With the performance setting everything looks like it did with the OG Vive or Rift.

What resolution and settings in DCS are you using?

Would love to see this addressed. Even after the flight model update yesterday the F-16 does not feel responsive with default curves. Very easy to get into PIO while formation flying. Not natural at all compared to the F-18.

For any of these tests were you forcing DX11 mode? The AMD cards appear to be sensitive to this setting with WMR in DCS.

What is HAGS??

Have you tried changing the bios settings to PCIE gen 3?

Were you forcing DX11 mode with the AMD card? For whatever reason the AMD cards do not do well with this feature turned off in the steam WMR settings menu.

Agreed, really really hoping this gets addressed. It's way overdue. Would love to enjoy the busy servers but the lag completely kills it for me.

Just a warning, I couldn't find this app on the windows store. That with the warning when I tried to install and I aborted.

Fixed. CPU overclock was causing the problem. Weird because it's usually stable.

Set to 14GB. Plus I have 32 GB of ram. If it's using all of that and hard crashing when it does, then DCS has some serious problems.

BIGNEWY, Not sure which of these you need. I don't think it generated a log file when the PC reset. Computer reset at least 4 of the 5 times I tried to load into MP. This is the one time DCS CTD. GPU drivers are up to date, mobo bios is also on the latest. No mods in DCS, vanilla beta install, with SRS and Tacview. Windows does have one outstanding update, I will see if I can get that loaded (I've had trouble with this in the past not working). Cheers

Resets at the end of the load bar, tried multiple servers with different maps same result. Single player seems to work fine. Tried latest GPU drivers and rolling them back, and a repair of DCS. Update: CPU OC was the cause.

Having a very similar problem with DCS OB causing a hard reset. No other game does this on my computer, all previous versions of DCS have been stable. I really think there is something going on with the last couple of versions of DCS.

Latest patch is causing more hard crashs and crash to desktop then I have ever had before. Hoping for a hot fix.
