  1. I would imagine that (given the amount of declassified data available on the F-16) if the real jet has it, ours will too.

Hey Windy! I guess for the same reason that some communities in Arma use mods that bring in blank rounds etc for assault rifles - they want to adhere as closely as possible to real-world procedures. As stated above as well, they're great for photos - and I can't imagine the work effort involved is too high, so if we have training rounds for some munitions, why not have them for all where they exist? Definitely not high on the priority list though!
  3. If you activate and then deactivate AFC too quickly, it will mess with the trim in my experience - you need to activate it and leave for a second or so to allow it to do its thing. This is how I operate with it regularly and don't have any of the trim issues described. Whether or not this is the correct behaviour, I can't say.
  4. Rubbish. Works perfectly well.
  5. No issues with any rocket types for me after the update last night.
  6. I mean, the GR9 is vastly different from the FA2 Sea Harrier. Re the British ski jump, you can take off with a full load! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. But... bloody hell, the JF-17 isn’t even in early access yet! Let them get on with that for now guys, come on!
  8. Given their intention of developing a high quality AI A-6, surely that has to be the next one? They haven’t indicated any intention to do the Tonka.
  9. As far as I'm aware the Hornet (or the Rhino) doesn't support this feature. Happy to be proved wrong by someone more in the know!
  10. I'm assuming we'll get the Harpoon with Bearing on Launch mode to begin with - HSI symbology to give us steering cues for correct azimuth for launch, and a search range & destruct range specified on the UFC. The weapon will use its own radar to search for and engage targets. Range & Bearing Launch mode will likely follow soon after - as I understand it, this mode requires a designation but is not limited to the radar, so we should be able to use the TPOD or a set of prebriefed coordinates.
  11. Unreal. The Block 50 C isn't even in early access, and folk are asking about other variants.
  12. I expect not that big, since the $5 addon probably wouldn't come close to covering the salary costs of staff involved, let alone any other expenses incurred.
  13. Yeah, there should definitely be an abstracted Dogfight Override. Since ED often put binds in for the TMW HOTAS as well, I'd argue it would be easy enough for them to include something for the Boat Switch (Aft = Dogfight, Middle = cancel, Fwd = MRM).
  14. This is more of a DCS World wish than an F-16C wish.
  15. Right, so they've said they will provide multiple liveries, not multiple versions of the aircraft. Paint schemes do not equal different versions of the hardware.
  16. Which variants have been advertised? USAF/ANG Block 50, and...?
  17. Absolutely on par with the A-10C I would say.
  18. Honestly, I don't really care whether they use Viper or Fighting Falcon - I always just call it the Viper.
  19. Christ, the thing isn't available for preorder yet and people are "hoping" for different variants in the future?
  20. I'm sure the JSOW-C is USN only - I'm sure I read an article that specified the USAF only used the -A (-B was canceled, I believe), and orders for the -A themselves were canceled in 08/08. I'll try to dig up a source.
  21. While I would love a Cougar throttle, I have a very functional setup for my TMW throttle in BMS which, I imagine, will be much easier to replicate in DCS. Can't wait!
  22. A-G is only selectable from the ICP, not the HOTAS.
  23. That's true, but not the model ED are creating, so I really doubt we'll get a drag chute.
  24. That might be proper procedure, but it doesn't inhibit launch - I do it all the time.
