I get what you're saying - but I've been trying to download NTTR since last night, and I'm lucky if I'm getting 1MB/s. This is on a 200Mbps line, with 22Mbps up. When you're dealing with a 24GB client and a 31GB download for a map, the current torrent system just isn't that good. That said, I'm looking forward to checking out the new lighting etc.

Anti-ship missiles has been mentioned once here... I for one look forward to hunting Viggens (and eventually Hornets?) trying to take out my carrier! Beyond that, I can perhaps see the merit in lobbing a Phoenix at 40 miles, press, Phoenix at 20 miles, press, switch to Sparrow for the kill? Would keep the target defensive as much as possible.

How far/short, exactly? These weapons, with the aiming solutions we have in the Mirage, are far from pinpoint accurate. I've had best results with pickling off multiple bombs at once with a spread of between 20m - 50m.

Does this need the HOTAS to be "combined" using TARGET? IIRC there's no input from the Boat Switch centre position when used without TARGET. Thanks!

We've experienced a much lower hit percentage, the last session we scored one hit out of twenty missiles fired (5%). Even if we assume some of them were launched at less than ideal parameters, none were launched outside of 12 miles (and those were from around 30k feet) - it's a bit silly at the moment.

Some folk have said to me that the MiG "feels" different when flying now, but no word of a FM update in any changelogs - placebo effect maybe? And yes, the MiG should almost always win a turning fight with any of the western fighters we have at the moment, everything else being equal - you don't want to mix it up with the Fulcrum!
