  1. hello It's very simple if you do it right, do not look for an automatic solution, there is none. It is enough to go down to the beginning of the track with a rate between 500 and 1000 feet per minute and a speed between 150 and 100 mph. Once as low as possible above the runway, pull the handle gently and hold. If you have too much speed the plane will go up, if you have not enough it will collapse. Learn how to do this until you find the right speed for the plane to land. That's it. http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/367/spitfire-practice http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/346/dcs-world-crosswind http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/342/weird-warbirds-landings Do this with any warbirds in DCS, and you'll see that after a little practice you will not even look at the instruments, so the parameters see you next
  2. here is a pic, we see that the upper surfaces of the wings are painted. For information it was painted first "zinc chromate" and then "silver" https://www.dropbox.com/s/mohjb5fdqvihaif/p51factory1.jpg?dl=0 extracted from walk around of "squadron signal"
  3. The "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting in Device Manager may be enabled. Start, type Device Manager in the search box, and then click Device Manager in the list of results. Click to expand Root USB Hub, and then click the Power Management tab. Click to clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power option, and then click OK. Note: If multiple Root USB Hub inputs are available, clear this option for each of these entries. Close the Device Manager.
  4. Check out your speed while training to make "boom and zoom". This acrobatics is practiced by all WW2 modules, it's like a dance, you have to learn the rythm and follow. Never let your speed fall down below 140 mph. there is no secret but you have to keep your energy in all circumstances Firstable train without any opponent. Once you will be able to keep your speed above 140 mph in any conditions, you will never loose your wings in stall. by practicing this exercise you will become gentle at the controls at the evidence.
  5. Take the time to watch this video, please, several times if necessary. http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/367/spitfire-practice http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/342/weird-warbirds-landings Note the parameters and try to reproduce the instructions. It is not as difficult as it seems and a little training should suffice. But above all, you have to be patient. see you next time
  6. you are welcome server's name: **servertoplay** open beta chek out your pm for password
  7. Hello: If I run a dedicated server between 2:00 pm and 2:00 am GMT. With a mission for beginners, and training, which allows you to practice flying only, or air combat if you decide. Each player can choose through the F10 menu, the following options: 0- Nothing, just fly. 1- launch a mission to activate the aircraft carriers 2- launch awacs and RVTs in flight. 3- choose AI planes opponents 4- choose AI helos opponents 5- to make appear targets on the ground The mission consists of the following modules: AV8-B F-15 F-86 A-10 F-5 F-18 M2000 Bf109 FW190 Spit P51D Uh1h SA342 Su-25 Su-27 Su-33 Mig-29 Mig-21 Mig-15 Mi-8 Ka-50 Of course I accept all the remarks and recommendations you could make. Only request: do not come only to retrieve the mission, please. Try to participate, maybe your presence will contribute to the durability of the server. you can use my discord server: https://discord.gg/YwBwyuQ Do you think you could join?
  8. hello count me in:) i do a thread dedicated to this on my forum http://cromhunt.proboards.com/board/70/virtual-reality-room The room will to be use for share experiences and missions. i have some missions to add on this thread for player interested. Exclusivly reserved to VR players See you next
  9. Hi people would any of you know where you can find spare parts for a combatstick? the base of the handle who joined with the gimbal is broken. I am looking for a gimbal or a handle in good condition. thank you to the one who has a good information
  10. You have to set a zone with the size corresponding of your flight. Name it. Then choose when the unit cross the zone (named) below 7000 unit will explode. By this way at each time you fly under 7000 the unit explode. Make it as following: 1-on condition change(something like that) 2-altitude of the unit lower than 7000 crossing the zone 3-destroy unit(something like that)
  11. Does anyone know what server style will be. Will it be like the excellent EECH, with a dynamic theater of operations on which one chooses the missions? Alone or in groups? http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/351/old-flight-simulator-on-windows Or else otherwise.
  12. I do not think it's a bug or something like that, but maybe a lack of precision that players are able to produce. At high altitude it is normal that to maintain a level flight is more difficult, and variations have more influence even slight. But with a little patience it seems possible. http://cromhunt.proboards.com/thread/372/high-altitude Maybe we should experiment with other modules to get a clear idea of the problem, right? Practice is the best i mean:)
  13. Et?...
Merci.
  15. To "Focha" The question is not whether they are comparable, obviously they are. But to use the comparisons to explain the different behaviors seems useless. If they are different their flight behavior will be different, that's all. It must be admitted that even if the device belongs to the same family of aerodyne any modification will cause a change. The AS 350 does not fly like the SA 342 or the Huey. A sparrowhawk does not fly like an eagle and yet they are both comparable birds
  16. Since I look at the comments on the gazelle, despite all the explanations that could be given on the various posts, the subject goes round in circles. A certain point of view is only very rarely used, or mentioned just to complicate the speech more. I want to talk about the differences between the machines. number of main rotor blades dimensions weight fenestron / rotor linked turbine free turbine engine power Why then that these differences exist and are indisputable, should the different helicos have the same behavior in flight? If the gazelle has a specific behavior it is simply because it was not designed like the other helicos. Initially it was a demonstrator whose specifications required a light helico very fast. All in its conception of departure was designed for high speeds. The French and British army were looking for a device to renew their helicos park. The gazelle was chosen for the sake of economy, to avoid bankruptcy, the firm that the manufactured. It received a large number of modifications to make it operational in combat. The orientation of the specifications changed radically and the behavior of the machine in flight too. One could even say, by exaggerating for the demonstration, that the SA 342 is not comparable with the SA 341, except the external aspect. It is obvious that the various modifications and implementations of systems, not originally planned, return to false information if we do not speak of the same machine. it's even more obvious if we compare with the huey. I mean that no type of helicopter is comparable except that it is a helico and it does not behave like an airplane. And thank the devs for taking care to make a module that does not look like the others.
  17. Someone who likes reading like you "bbrz"should find happiness on this link: https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2014/march/pilot/1403p_t_quicklook this is my last word
  18. Off topic "bbrz" and wrong https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piper_PA-31T_Cheyenne
  19. It's not about who has the most experience, but how you interpret that experience, your conclusions, to use a word used by "yo-yo". I'm just pointing out that you can not talk about an effect or a reaction on an airplane without taking into account all the parameters that make up the aeronautical flight. You can not isolate an effect without defining the conditions under which it occurs, and after doing a demonstration of the effect in flight near zero speed (video) .It is obvious that in the configuration you have chosen, the aerodynamic effects are almost null, and so it is the propeller causes the barrel. That does not mean that the importance of this effect applies to all configurations. DCS does what it can and actually for the moment it's not bad, assuming they are able to integrate all the calculations and results. But it's still a game or a simulator, if you prefer, and this that we see on the screen depends on the computing power of our computers. So necessarily limited. PS:The first post of this topic spoke of a weak reaction of the game in conditions apparently similar to the real flight. And I observed that if you do not take all the parameters of the flight into account, and in particular the aerology which is very simple in DCS, it is not worth comparing. Criticism is easy but art is difficult.
  20. The story also works with a frog. you cut off one leg and you order her to jump, she jumps. you cut off both legs and she becomes deaf. But to return to the subject, you isolate a behavior without taking into account all the aerodynamic effects of which an aircraft is affected. This is the problem with people who spend too much time in books, and do not practice real experiences. The stuff when it moves in the mass of air does not have the same reactions as when it is on the ground. What is mentioned about the excessive torque for warbirds with consequent barrel, comes from the moment when the plane is on the ground at very low speed. At that moment the aerodynamic effects are almost null. In flight the fletching and the wings, even the fuse, come to counter the effects of torque. It is not difficult to understand. Finally there is no instant effects, it is necessary that all the moments of couples harmonize taking into account the aerodynamic resistances. The which can take one or two seconds . Say you well that if there was not some latency between the effects, the pilot would be unable to correct with accuracy, he would not have time. For exemple: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nord_3202 I did my graduate on this kind of plane, the axis of the engine was shifted compared to that of the fuselage, the vertical empennage was also shifted compared to the axis of the fuselage. All that to counter the reversing couple.(torque) In spite of that we had to put the rudder and the trim on the bottom right, and the thing was going left during the takeoff. In flight none of that would stop us from flying normally Still with only 240 horses. So try to imagine with 1500 horses and more?
  21. And it only happens to you on this mission or in general? Because it works very well usually with the huey or the mi8 on classic mission.
  22. To"J3tB4lst" "X plane 11" "real world", "VA", I'm not sure I understand? But have you ever piloted a helico in real life? On the other hand in a game, and even for a simulator as demanding as DCS, it will not be possible to represent all the parameters of the real flight. In any case not with the computers that the players use. You can dispute the inconsistencies of the game because it is just a game. As said in my first response it "seems" that some of the parameters of the actual flight are implemanted, but that's a guess. If this is the case and you do not take it into account, your experience will be bad. If nothing is really simulated, then it is a waste of time to think that mistakes exist because, for sure, you will find some. Now you can be amazed by the 1000 lbs capacity to go in addition to the MTOW of an aircraft, but I have already practiced this in real flight with both an airplane and a helico. Of course using everything that aerology can offer me. Everything is not written in the books.
  23. Strange that a player who chose DCS to try the helicos, is surprised by the difficulty? It seems that in this game, many parameters to which players are not aware, are implemented. If you find somewhere a Huey flight manual, you'll see that like all aircraft, its performance changes with altitude and air temperature and atmospheric pressure and hygrometry, and not only according to its take-off weight. The EGT is only an indication of the turbine temperature according to the torque. For each application of the collective pitch the turbine is requested even if its speed is nominal. The continuous EGT max temperature must be respected in its range of use as the torque, however it can be exceeded but over a short period. The fuel flow is dependent on the use of the turbine, the player must adapt his control to save fuel Finally a linked turbine does not behave like a free turbine. Indeed the EGT is slightly too sensitive but at least it makes touching the difficulties of engine management on a helico.i think it was the intention of programmers. Last point the direction of the wind is very important, even if most players do not pay attention https://www.dropbox.com/s/kpdtwfbapz8pnms/Untitled-6.jpg?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/umbjo8b9nixugo6/Untitled-8.jpg?dl=0
  24. Working with M8-MTV on last patch 2.5.2 first position the transport on its point of departure https://www.dropbox.com/s/9oxsxcogdp2tckr/Untitled-3.jpg?dl=0 secondly choose and add a boarding point https://www.dropbox.com/s/4s7hf7q8lf7t7qa/Untitled-2.jpg?dl=0 thirdly indicate to the troops the boarding point https://www.dropbox.com/s/9nl6c2m5yuad2rv/Untitled-1.jpg?dl=0 And UH-1H huey working fine:
