The trick is something following: When the cargo begins to swing go to external view. Now push the stick to put the helo over the cargo; I mean if the cargo goes left push on the stick by left,to the right if goes right,....and so and so until the cargo comes stable. Same thing forward or backward. After a few time you will be able to feel the cargo move and you will be able to correct the swing from internal cockpit.

Following that link about the discuss from an Oculus dev

You are right when saying that DCS's lights effect is the cause, sometimes. Another remark is about the "modelviewer".I don't know if you are using it,but the render is not exactly same in game. However the best way is to playing between "gradiant map" and "hue/saturation" to get the color desired, Avoid "brightness/contrast"if you have already use auto tone on your pic; And so and so....

To "fisherman82"i don't know why you don't understand?Maybe my english is not good enough? However at each update of DCS i change the "pixel per display pixel override"from 1 to 2. To see if something has been done on VR code. And check it out in the game, without changing anything else. To compare i get in a cockpit, and change fov with keys binded. If the changing would be fluid i will keep the set to 2. Never saw this set to be fluid. Unfortunatly from the beginning of VR on this game, you can't get something fluid with a set above 1. But when you said that the PD not working anymore,i may say it's false. The "pixel per display pixel override" works. But maybe we arn't talking about the same thing? About your supposition on forcing gamer to change for a quest 2;i think it is stupid. I have both of them and the difference between is too tiny to be convincing. However on the quest 2 you haven't to set something on OTT. That's all.

On a Windows 10 PC on Nvme SSD, intel 4.2 ghz proc, nvidia 1080,32 G ram. Game on an SSD. I tested the game with an Oculus Quest 2 and I usually play on an Oculus Rift S. The difference is on the one hand in the settings and then in the image quality. For the settings it only concerns the Oculus Rift S: you must use the oculus debug tool; Set the pixel per display pixel override to 1. And asyncronous spacewarp on force 45 fps, ASW enabled. In this way we obtain a very good compromise between image quality and fluidity. Perfectly playable and perfectly readable instruments. With the Oculus Quest 2: no prior settings. It is the headset that returns the images of the game, which is to say that it is the components of the headset that make the game run, and not those of the PC. Perfectly playable, same fluidity as with the Rift S (and its settings) and a slightly more pleasant image. Additional advantage: just plug it into a USB 3.0 socket and use the oculus link offered by the menu. Last point: no need for a very expensive cable, there are 25 euros that work very well, it is this model that I use. i have to say, nothing is changed after last update. To "blackworm"did you let your nvidia settings by default? if not you have to try it. The only set that are due is from the Oculus debug tool as pointed above.

Ahhh:) i'm a little bit disapointed. Why using NS430 on the Gazelle? NADIR is not enough, that you need a stuff doing same things.? I mean both are system GPS.(global positionning system) They do not use the same technology, but the result and the job are the same. Sorry but i think it will be easier to learn the NADIR. The system is fully functional. I say it friendly

Too simple:)not enough informations. Please let us know which was your speed on take off? Which was your take off weight? And if you did bouncing on runway before you lift? Another remark is ;if you are on RTB after a combat ,check out your hydraulics. There are many causes that create weird behaviour. First check out your systems,i mean the aircraft systems?Check out his parameters and needles positions. A video could be useful:) Good game

you have just to bind a key or a button to zoom check it out in the binding screen about axes.

Completly agreed with "stearmandriver". The spitfire behaviour on ground his weird. It's not the taildragger behaviour that is in cause. It's because of brakes that are too strong and brutal. It lacks a progressivity in the code. Sure i had never fly a spitfire, but i never heard something also stupid about his brakes. As a counter part a lot of stories exist about the lack of power on warbirds brakes, and their overheated, because of technology from this era. I flew numerous taidraggers like Pilatus PC6 or Birddogs and Nord 3202....

Nothing to do with this kind of sets; With cowl flaps open? cowl flaps close... Any speed... I don't care, any aircraft never loose his Vtail in any case. This case is stupid and specific to DCS. Before that we have to feel more things like buffeting or vibrations and so and so...Sometimes commands come hard to move... Like the main forces aerodynamics are applyed on all horizontal surfaces. These have to be broken before any other surfaces. Remember that it's not the vtail that make the aircraft fly sustended. In the vertical plan not any forces could make broken some thing; apart if you have your rudder full applyed from a side or other side I did a lot of descent when i was flying parachutists airplane; With high speeds and resources. And this case never happend. Or so i'm talking to you from my tumbstone. Maybe a Pilatus PC6 or a Cessna 207/206 and many other planes like that are more solid than a war aicraft?it's a bullshit. The P47D was the more solid among all warbirds. It's a bug and never mind. Useless to discuss.

Hum!Hum! nice work isn'it? But a little thing is disturbing. Why we are loosing so easyly the rudder without any damage? And when i say rudder it's all the vertical tail. I don't remember that the poor P47D was so brittle? Hey:) ED are you sure of that?

What's wrong with the Jug, why so little interest ?
cromhunt replied to Hueyman's topic in DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt
HotTom Completly aggreed Rubharb rubharb!! and a lot of ground attack missions were sheduled to the Jug. That was the life of a ww2 P47D pilot. And sometimes escort bombers P51D was prefered because his long range. To do this in a mission the Normandy and Channel maps are realistic enough. Anyway over vietnam or over normandy the missions was same: Ground attacks. The plane is not a fighter,in fact is a fighter-bomber. I don't think a mission has to be full realistic to please.Just have not to be a stuff where the Jug wasn't engaged(i mean without fox1 fox2 fox3). If you want to fight a 109 so take a spitfire or a P51D. If you want to destroy armored vehicule, bridges, building and so...The spitfire is the worst...and The Jug is the best. The P47D is my favorite plane and i would be very glad to share some missions to play multiplayer. I'm waiting you here https://discord.gg/YwBwyuQ -

I see:) Now could you select the file without roughmet specification and change the gradiant map?,after that save the file as roughmet file. maybe you don't have the software to change the gradiant map?is'n it? So you could post your files here(zipped) and i could change it for you.
-
-
It seems that the rough_met specification is made for changing reflection of metal surface from dull to shine. At least it's what i figure out, after several combinations of gradiant map. Thus if you do not have a graphic software like photoshop or else able to modify this gradiant map,you will see nothing noticiable.

Why is the Spitfire so terrible?
cromhunt replied to Cunning_Fox's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Hey:) i Don't know if it could be usefull? But before loosing your mind among a lot of legends and assertions of real flight, you have to practice a little,no? Furthermore on the game.It seems the least to do. So could you make a little test to see if you are able to shoot down something .And that with anykind of warbirds of DCS. Of course it's not an advise in any case or a teaching stuff.Just a test to see if you are able to do the more basics things. And it's only for your eyes. Check out the maximum continues setting of you engine(RPM and inlet). And do not change anything while you play to maintain a good speed enough with a good enrergy.I mean don't change the throttle and propeller position. In fact just have to use stick and pedals, once that the setting is right. Now you have to reproduce the dance of IA planes. It is the boom and zoom. Before adding an opponent better train solo. You have to be able to play between the stall speed and the maximum speed while doing this manoeuver;without changing anything of the engine setting. Once you will be able to do this dance almost with your eyes shut,You could make some attempt in dogfighting with an opponent. And the more you practice the more you will be able to see the different performances, because they are very little obvious between each warbirds of DCS,once you put aside all legends. From this start try to use different setting and you will see that is not the most important thing to win a dogfight. Remember that is a flight simulator and not an erzatz with a more or less aircraft powerfull engine. An aircraft is made to fly thus we have to learn it. And not to loose our time like we do with a car or a motorcycle with customizing stuffs. Good game. Bottom line:in DCS you are not playing with Xwings or Tie fighters of science-fictions movies. -
My Kingdom for a new F-16 Throttle!
cromhunt replied to Davee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
is that not a F16 throttle and stick? http:// -
