I definitely found my home with your Krasnodar server, learning the A10C is great with the assortment of missions. Finally finished the very hard airport takeover mission last night by myself, well I had a mate on but he couldn't find the airport lol. Keep up the great work mate.

Just tried a quick mission and I have figured out the MAV slew seems to get stuck on certain things but if I press TMS down short it unlocks the slew so it moves again. Strange as I have never had to do this before. Seems better though as the lock on target is stronger.

My mate and I are also having trouble with the MAV's, the HOTAS slew control just stops working. Slave all controls with the china hat forward and the HOTAS slew starts working for a few seconds then stops again. Off topic but every time I post, I click post reply and I have to log back in before I can post, sometimes it asks me to refresh which loses the post and I have to start again.

I come on DCS to get away from the Team Killing kiddies and low and behold "TIA Marvix" jumps on a Ground attack server "ITA Banshee ED" server, loads up with AA and starts shooting down friendly Hogs laden with MAVS and GBU's. So not a pleasant nights gaming.

I have been looking to upgrade my 970 for a while now and have been watching prices on various sites. So a heads up for anyone looking to buy from a 3rd party seller on Amazon. From watching prices and then reading feedback, it looks like scammers are hacking 3rd party sellers accounts and offering GFX cards eg 1080ti new for £335, or 1080 like new for £282. It looks like Amazon have cottoned on as feedback in the 3rd party sellers say our account was compromised and Amazon are dealing with all those affected. So as the old adage goes, if its too good to be true ……

When I first bought the Mustang, I enjoyed sitting in the cockpit following the procedure to get it started, but now I just cant be bothered, I just use the start cheat. When I play SP missions I want to blow stuff up in the time I have playing, so I use unlimited fuel and unlimited ammo. When I play multi player I use up my ordinance then land, re-fuel and re-arm. So am I an arcade gamer or a "hardcore" simmer ? I really don't care as long as I am enjoying myself.

The sky redraws for me too after exiting F10, also the ground is darker for a second then goes brighter and stays brighter. I just thought it was my GTX 970 not being up to scratch.

I remember getting screens like this in battlefield 2 when I overclocked my GFX card (HD4870) too much. I don't own the Persian Gulf map, but the Nevada map for me is harder on my GTX 970 than Caucasus. My 970 OC is +186 core and +454 Memory

I am playing DCS with a 3770K a 970 and a rift, after I shut the game down, I check MSI afterburner and the 970 is maxing out while the 3770K doesn't even hit 35 percent usage. I am holding off upgrading my card as the prices are insulting (I will probably get a 2070 when they drop under 380 GBP). So at the moment I am patiently awaiting the terrain updates. IMO to answer your opening question a 2070 would be better for you now, see how you go and then you can build a new rig around that.

Not for me, I am running a 970 and the game for me is a lot smoother, maybe for the users with a newer gfx card there is no difference.

I switched to Oculus Beta to get the ASW 2.0 support and what a difference, single player stuttering has vanished and online has reduced massively. Also when looking forward and turning my head left to look at the left wing, when I got to about 55 degrees the screen would freeze, then rubber band to catch up with my turning, that is now not happening, just a fluid screen movement.

This news is fantastic, I bought a rift last week and I have to say it is the best thing computer related I have bought since I bought my first DX2-66 back in the early 90's. Hopefully this means I will be able to carry on with my 970 /3770K until the next generation of cards come out which hopefully will be more price friendly.

My current rig, MVF, 3770k @ 4.4, GTX970, 16 gig RAM, 27" 1080p 144Hz monitor. DCS world default high settings with view set to ultra. The SU27 mission I am getting around 90FPS, the free flight Huey over the Vegas strip is down to 45 FPS (CPU 24%, GPU 99%). I have looked on youtube for benches but for DCS 2.5, I only seem to find 4k with VR or XX80 / ti videos. So for DCS world is a 8GB card better (1070) or will a 2060 / 1660ti 6GB do the same job. I have seen all the bench videos of the 2060 equalling the 1080 / 1070ti but is 8 GB better for DCS. Thanks for reading

That's strange, I logged out while I was in module manager and straight away it popped up saying the rest were available for download. Edit: Just did a fresh install of 2.1 and straight away there were 9 modules in the manager to download, cant understand why logging out fixed it but I am happy it did.

Downloaded logged in, no modules or terrains, uninstalled, downloaded again, logged in, still no modules or terrains. Seems to be a problem reading these forums BIGNEWY, I tried Black Shark 2 / Ka-50 and FC-3 and neither are recognised in command prompt, I couldn't be bothered with the rest so might just uninstall and wait for a fix.

I just did a clean install of my operating system then DCS 1.5 and 2.1 and no terrains or modules that I bought are showing up in my module manager, anyone any idea how long before this is fixed ?, I installed 3 (Huey, Mustang and Warthog) using the command prompt the rest are not recognised.

Sorry to hijack this thread but I might be missing something. I have formatted my PC and thought I would install 2.0 beta, I have installed my modules but all the missions and training etc are greyed out. Can I not play this until I buy Nevada test range ?

I am enjoying playing the modules for DCS world, but now it is time to program the X52. I started off with something simple by programing flaps up and down to the first toggle switch (T1). I have programmed flaps up when I push the toggle switch away from me LEFT SHIFT F, and down, when I pull the toggle switch toward me F. The problem is whichever way I use the toggle switch it puts the flaps down. On the MFD screen, it says flaps up and flaps down when I use the toggle switch. Also I tried the kneeboard which also uses 2 keys as well CTRL K I think, but that doesn't work either. I must be missing something simple, thanks for any help.

Just had a chat with him and he says that everything loads faster and the games are smoother. He also noticed that with his old I7 that when he looked at his cpu cores, not all of them were working, whereas with this one, (he got the K version 4670) all the cores are working. He is still running it at stock 3.5 so I am going to talk him through getting it up to 4.0 as he said he will be happy with 4.0. I have the ROG MVF and a 3770K clocked to 4.5 and with his old system he was always down on frame rate compared to mine, so it will be interesting when we have a game next to see if he is on par or better then mine. Playing ARMA 2 OA the other night and he said he couldn't believe how easy it was to kill the enemy AI compared to his old board and cpu. So it looks like his old system couldn't process the AI movement as good as his new system. HTH mate.

Go for it mate, I just specced my mate a mobo and cpu, a Z79 ROG board for 130 quid. He was using a I7 950 with a ROG board and he is well happy with the new system. He kept his old 6 gig of RAM and his 660 ti so he can upgrade them after a while.
