I run the standard integrated Windows Defender, and Malware Bytes. I disabled the latter, still no go. Btw, when I first ran the install file, I did get the message saying there was an update, and it downloaded a 7MB file. Then the window disappeared.

hey guys, after 3.5 months of waiting Jetseat from Andre finally arrived in Australia, all the way from Russia. Unfortunately I can not get the Simshaker for Aviators software to work. I downloaded the installer, ran it, which then gave me the Simshaker for Aviators shortcut on the desktop. Double click to run, and get the Launching Application - Verifying Application Requirements window, with the picture of the computers joined... then nothing. It disappears, and there's nothing in my taskbar to indicate it's running. Is there a service I may have disabled that this app relies upon? Note the following: 1.) Running Windows 10 v 1909 64-bit 2.) Jetseat has been successfully detected by Windows 3.) Jetseat is turned on. to run correctly?

Given the popularity of carrier missions thanks to the SC, Hornet and Tomcat modules, I reckon updated 3d models for these aircraft would be very popular. There's nothing more immersion breaking than taking off next to a 3D model made in 1997.

All working perfectly. Freaking. Amazing. Seriously, so impressed with this app. Is it possible to export the Tomcat pilot's radar screen to a tablet? I'm guessing it will require a totally different method, but that will be the final screen I need.

no idea. I think I'm gonna have to learn VA myself and start from scratch, especially as I have an Aussie accent.

Not sure what's happened, but as of the latest DCS update, I can't get VA to even recognise jester! I've set up Jester, Chester and Yester as possible keywords, and none of them trigger anything in VA. Yet most other commands seem to be fine. What the?

ok, I've updated the app on my tablet, started the ACM panel for the Tomcat. Unfortunately the AoA indexer isn't working, and the missile/gun buttons aren't lighting up. The master switch also isn't animating. Is there something I need to do to enable this? Note that inputs are working though - if I tap a button on the virtual ACM panel, it is reflected in the cockpit.

Hmmm. Things just got real weird with the radar. To try and get Jester to take control, I told him to go radar silent. Then restarted the radar - and the group of 8 or so bogeys that were 40nm away no longer showed up. Even at 10nm, still no go - nothing appeared on the radar. Is this a bug?

Thanks guys, it's all working great. New question though - I've set radar to VSL Hi/Lo or PAL, but want Jester to take control again and go into TWS. So using the Jester wheel I order him to set it to TWS Auto, or Automatic. Nada. Still stuck in the pilot-controlled modes. How do I get Jester to regain control of the radar?

I too also use 2 10" Tablets with the Tomcat which I specifically bought for use with this app, along with a smartphone for the AoA indexer. It's amazing. I also bought 2 7" tablets for when the Tomcat gets more panels... ACM panel pleeeeeease?!

So, I'm in AA mode, I have Sidewinders selected and armed, and I have VSL LO selected... I think. There's no way to confirm that I can see of? And I can't see the diamond sweeping.

Notice a theme going on? ;) So, campaign mission 1. Returning to carrier. Trying to radio it on 265.00 AM, but getting no reply. I set the radio via Jester, and manually, but neither works. Once I've set the radio, I use the \ comms menu, then navigate to the required callout. No response from carrier. Here's a video so you can tell me what I'm stuffing up: HALP!

Few questions: 1.) I want to bind VSL Hi and Lo to my Warthog throttle so that I can manually lock targets within 15nm or so. I'm using the rocker switch that corresponds to button 9 and 10. Do I bind the Jester AI commands, or the Left Sidewall buttons? 2.) Regardless of whether I bind the Jester or Sidewall commands, I don't see the moving diamond anymore, even when using Hi or Lo. This is regardless of whether I'm using Sidewinders, Sparrows, guns (which I believe don't have the diamond), safe or armed. Should I be able to? 3.) Even when using CAGE SEAM I don't see a moving diamond, but I don't think I'm meant to. HALP!

Hey Antoine, thank you for your detailed guide. I'm a little confused though when it comes to determining the value I should use in the Cubic Bezier Spline for my Throttle. I'm flying the Tomcat, and the burners kick in at roughly 16%. How does that translate to the Y value in the Spline?

Try using simple comms. If it works, it means you haven't tuned the RIO radio (NOT YOURS) to ATC.
