Try double checking your config is pointing to the right IPs (your device IPs may change if you haven't set your PC and all devices to static IPs), and also make sure your export.lua is configured correctly - when I recently installed TacView, it over-wrote everything there and broke DCS UFC.

Umm, sorry, but you're totally wrong. And it does also have destructable models, and the basis for combat systems. I'm glad Mr Grey is aware of the fact that MSFS is a true threat to DCS. Competition will be good for simmers, even if it does mean we all migrate to a new platform.

I don't see anything in Mr Grey's comment about the company nor making healthy profits, but if they aren't, there is an obvious solution. An ongoing subscription model. Trust me, the DCS audience will cry to high heaven, but they will stick around for the mid-term. They've got nowhere else to go.

That would indeed be the problem - I asked Jester to set the radio, and then used Bailey's Voice Attack profile to activate ATC - which I'm guessing would use the wrong radio? How do I ensure I'm using the correct radio? Or should I simply enable easy radios?

Great to hear. I got TacView+ DCS UFC working after manually editing my export.lua file, but I'm sure many other folks wouldn't bother going to the trouble. Would be nice if everything just, well, worked for once! But this is DCS we're talking about :helpsmilie:

Hmm, pretty sure they're going to be just as expensive as the 2080 series.

Personally, using my specs, I found the Reverb to be very disappointing when flying fast A2A jets. Apparently it's better if you're ground-pounding or flying slower prop planes, but for me I only used my Reverb for about 100 hours, most of which were spent tweaking options and flying the settings screen, trying to get a good experience. A sad waste of time and money.

I landed on the Roosevelt, didn't get a landing rating though as the landing was failed for not doing any comms. Could that be the issue? Running latest OB. Yep, intercepted F5s and got confirmation from Overlord. Yep, flew formation with the F4 and got confirmation they were bugging out. Guessing there's some kinda bug with landing on the SC. Note that I tuned my radio back to 127.500 to radio inbound to the carrier at approx 60nm range, no response.

The more I play DCS, the more it upsets me. :(

Aaand, 2.5 hours of flying later, I've failed mission 2 after landing on the Roosevelt. I'm guessing it's because my landing wasn't given a grade due to no comms. Sigh. Think I'll stick with official campaigns for the time being, even though I loved the structure of this mission.

Quick question - have you updated the mission brief text to reflect the Teddy Roosevelt Radio Frequency? It says Stennis on 127.500, but I'm getting nothing on that frequency. Hitting F10 to find out the frequency of the Roosevelt doesn't display that info, as far as I can tell?

Doing mission 2 of the Operation Earnest Will campaign. Spawn in, get a beautiful 50-60fps frame rate with a very crowded deck. Then things start getting very weird. As I start up the jet, my fps wavers between 25 and 60fps, usually towards the lower end. Note, this seems to have nothing to do with how many A/C are on the deck - I can get 60fps with 2 hornets, a cat and a chopper, but it then drops to 30fps as I go through the start up. Erm, any idea what is going on?

That is absolutely untrue. The Reverb is something like four times more demanding than the CV1, so expect much, much worse performance.

Interesting, I chose the opposite - just sold my Stream Deck XL as I prefer DCS UFC on my 4 tablets.

Please send my deepest regards to the families of the crew of Overlord/Magic. My training failed me at the most urgent time, and I have since grounded myself until I can learn proper radio doctrine.

As the ACM panel is much wider than it is tall, will we be able to run our tablets horizontally, instead of vertically?

Hehe, same thing just happened to me. If an app is going to touch export.lua, it needs to play nicely with any and all other apps that touch this file. Having to manually edit this file to get paid-for applications to work with DCS is not user-friendly. I feel like I'm trying to get X-wing vs Tie fighter working with a Gravis Soundcard all over again!

So I'm on mission 2, the BARCAP next to AWACS. After about 75 minutes of flying back and forth between waypoint 2 and 3, wingman called Bingo fuel, so I called him home. To be honest, I got pretty bored so quit out - I'm guessing I didn't do something right, as there was probably meant to be something going on while I was there? I think I may have called on station before I initially reached WP2 - could that have broken the trigger? Was I meant to do anything with my radios to hear Overlord, as I also just left them on default settings (did the cold start version of the mission).

Thanks for the update IronMike, greatly appreciated. Apologies if I understated the work that went into the last patch; we all know that you guys are having to jump through extra hoops due to the stuff that ED is doing to the underlying simulator, and are hoping that they can get the base game in a stable state that will allow you to do what you do best, rather than tidy up other people's work.

Any idea of what we can expect in the next Tomcat update? It's the only aircraft I fly, so I'm keen to see what's happening with the A model, lighting, better undercarriage/landing modelling, and so on. Or am I just being an impatient brat?
