  1. Great job mate. I'll have a close look at this tonight.
  2. Do other keys work for other controls that you have Renton rebind? I ask this because I just bound the flashlight and it doesn't work in game. The binding were screwed up in the latest patch.
  3. Is there not a case iii instant action mission you could use as per Matt's vid?
  4. The turn rate indicator below the backup attitude indicator doesn't seem to work. Bug? Or just not implemented yet?
  5. I presume turns are standard rate so a 180 will take 1 minutes and each leg will be 2. Too arrive on time just shorten or extend the outbound leg. With wind it gets a little more complicated.
  6. Is there a turn rate indicator visible in the HUD in the hornet so we can conduct standard rate turns in the hold? The turn rate indicator below the backup attitude indicator doesn't seem to work. bug i presume?
  7. Not sure about the radar elevation issue but the sliding on the deck issue has been fixed internally.
  8. Known issue. Hopefully fixed soon
  9. You trim for on speed AoA. Once this is done, you shouldn't pitch up or down with the stick in the hornet. Glideslope and decent rate is all controlled with the throttle. Lateral stick for lineup. That's it.
  10. Wouldn't you just use the boats tacan and fly an arc (circle)?
  11. At what point do you make the base turn? 45 degrees to threshold?
  12. Hi guys, after spending the last couple of months all in the hornet cockpit I was stunned jumping back into the A10 cockpit by how large it was. I know it's suppose to be bigger but it seemed to me way oversized. Anyone else feel this?
  13. Is there a nearest airport option in the hornet like there is with the A10c?
  14. If you want to increase the turn radius without engaging NSW HI a tap on the toe brakes helps with this. Pretty much the same with every GA aircraft I've flown. Just seems unrealistic but I'm no hornet pilot. Just putting it out there
  15. Seems like their might be a bug with the basic autopilot mode trim function. It is very very slow to change pitch or roll attitude in basic autopilot mode. Supposed to be around 0.5 degrees/sec for pitch and 2 degrees/sec for roll. To quote the NATOPS manual: "The basic autopilot (heading hold) is engaged by selecting the A/P pushbutton (at which time pilot relief options appear on the UFC) then selecting the ON/OFF push button......At this time the aircraft maintains the existing pitch attitude. If roll attitude is less than or equal to ±5° at engagement, the magnetic heading is maintained. If roll attitude at time of engagement is greater than ±5°, the roll attitude is maintained. The pitch attitude hold reference can be changed with pitch CSS to any value between ±45° pitch. The pitch attitude reference can also be changed with the trim switch on the control stick at a rate of 0.5°/second. The roll attitude hold reference (if roll is greater than ±5°) can be changed with roll CSS to any value between 5° and 70° of roll. The roll attitude reference can also be changed using the trim switch on the stick at a rate of 2°/ second."
  16. Im surprised by the almost not existent differential braking in the hornet. Taxi the hornet at taxi speed and apply full right or left brake...barely any movement to either side. Bug?
  17. Is this possible? I turn the battery on but doesn't seem there is any power to my radios work to call ATC for engine start.
  18. Ahhh Ok... that seem to do something
  19. That just keeps cycling through all the options continuously for me.
  20. I agree... No pilot is going to pass out on the ground. Just assume the mask is off.
  21. Just going through my shutdown Christ and it says'turn off radios'. Can't figure out how this is done?
  22. It use to be like that for me.
  23. Anyone else finding it takes about 5mins to create a new server? I thought DCS had hung but it eventually came good. I've tried multiple times same mission and different missions from other maps and still the same issue. Never use to do this for me before the last update. Windows 10 also updated which is where the problem my lay also.
  24. No problem spotting the ball here either. Make sure you are on glideslope when turning final by hitting your numbers on the standard carrier pattern or by the from being at 3 degrees when placed at the boat. The ball is quite sensitive and it's easy for it to disappear completely.
  25. Nice checklist. Maybe add in bolter/goaround procedure
