  1. I was thinking the same thing last night....frames are better. I thought I must have turned mesa off. Checked my settings and it was enabled. So, it feels to me something has improved recently.
  2. Same issue here. Pretty sure it's already reported as a bug
  3. Same issue in VR. Even if I look at my knees and recenter, it still doesn't entirely fix the issue.
  4. Good idea...would be cool in VR when hand tracking becomes the norm.
  5. This seems like a no brainer and not too complicated to implement
  6. Yep...I experienced a similar issue. Does it happen with outer planes or just the hornet?
  7. I agree...nice to have the option to turn it in for both eyes.
  8. Thanks mate for the review.... appreciate it. Shame you couldn't get to experience DCS with it though.
  9. Given the imminent release of these headsets to backers, probably time we make this thread a sticky?
  10. See attached file (I'm sure it was attached originally). Waypoint Auto bug.trk
  11. This sounds promising: http://forum.pimaxvr.com/t/about-60-70-performance-improved-on-rtx2080ti/9072. Coupled with DCS Vulkan implementation and some DCS VR optimisations, and it might be possible to run this thing at decent framerates.
  12. Still experiencing this behavior. Was this ever reported/confirmed as a bug?
  13. You can an easily do a 180 and the missile launched at Rne isn't going to come even close. Kind of defeats the purpose of Rne.
  14. This is really cool.....if only I could run it in VR. It's absolutely punishing on framerates. This will be my test mission when Vulkan is released.
  15. Thanks for sharing this mate. A couple of questions: Why disable turbo boost? How do you set affinity to all processes on DCS.exe? I think only have a DCS_updater.exe in 2.5. Also, are you saying changing any in game settings can ruin the performance with this mod? or just specific ones?
  16. Variable rate shading is also supported by Vulkan. Massive news for VR users with Turing cards! One developer said it was a dead easy to implement as well.
  17. When you first install the shaders mod it can take around 10mins for the mission to load...you need to be really patient here. Reinstall after each update...pretty easy. I prefer just a window rather than full screen. That way I can browse the internet etc while missions load and check manuals etc In game resolution is irrelevant for VR. ASW has no performance impact...it smooths out frames but does introduce some minor artifacts. Some people prefer to not use it for this reason but you get stuttering if your not hitting 90fps. I have same setup as you and have been flying VR since it first release. I'd recommend some Pixel density and also some cockpit shadows...visually this makes a big difference. At the end of the day, it's a tradeoff between performance and visuals...only you can make that decision depending on what you prefer.
  18. It's pretty awesome hey! Couple of this to get you started. Increase PD to about 1.3 for your GPU will improve clarity. Install The Kegetys VR mod for improve performance. You may be able to enable MSAA with this mod, but if performance is your main concern then disable MSAA. You want to aim for 45fps or higher most of the time. ASW to smooth out the frames.
  19. Probably CPU bound in some situations. Vulkan should help in these cases. What are your settings?
  20. Looks like it's Pimax in the interim. Let's hope they deliver and you can actually run the thing in DCS
