  1. My understanding is that even though it might be single-threaded, the workload is still shared between the cores. So if the the CPU is at 100% and you have 4 cores, then it will show as 25% each
  2. 5) because only the left eye image is being shown on screen
  3. VR is incredible..but you trade a few things like resolution. IMHO it is more than worth it and it's only going to get better. Check out the DCS review from a user regarding the Pimax 5k+....sounds promising regarding resolution and FOV improvements but you'll need a beefy rig.

  5. 1). You feel like you are in the world/cockpit. It truly is incredible. 2) Depends on the headset. The rift/Vive need external sensors that typically come with the headset. 3). I would probably wait until rift 1.5 or valves reportedly new headset comes out next year. These should give a big jump in tech over current gen headsets.
  6. There will be Pimax 5+ and 8k, oculus rift 1.5, XTAL consumer headset, and a new headset from valve apparently all due in 2019. Plus all the WMR stuff that keeps coming out. I backed the 5k+ but I'm interested to see what oculus has planned for later this year.
  7. It appears those issues and others such as God rays have been solved with the Pimax. You can a big increase in FOV too. Downside is performance...your going to need to lower your settings a lot to get comparable performance. Hopefully optimisations from ED (VR improvements and vulcan) and Pimax can help out here in the future. Exciting times though!
  8. Can we get an official acknowledgment on this issue?
  9. Thanks for the review mate. I'm backer 5000 so my headset ii's still a ways off. Do you think DCS engine can be changed so that parallel projections can be turned off in the future with some changes on their end? I've read that you can get 30% extra frames with parallel projections off.
  10. Well spotted....the shallows look great in 1.5.
  11. So if my DCS is installed on another SSD, do i allocate a page file size for this drive as well? or just the drive my OS is installed on?
  12. I've reported this anomoly in the bug section a couple of times over the last few months, but it's never been officially acknowledge or reported as far as I'm aware. Go over to the bugs section and make your voice heard.
  13. Yeah I've seen this as well.
  14. Can someone else confirm this?
  15. Yep...I reported this bug months ago. Can't see your attached track though.
  16. Thanks for this campaign. Really enjoyed this one! Great work mate :)
  17. Load up a night mission, enable HUD RWR symbology, dim HUD brightness. All HUD symbology except RWR dims.
  18. I was thinking the same thing last night....frames are better. I thought I must have turned mesa off. Checked my settings and it was enabled. So, it feels to me something has improved recently.
  19. Same issue here. Pretty sure it's already reported as a bug
  20. Same issue in VR. Even if I look at my knees and recenter, it still doesn't entirely fix the issue.
  21. Good idea...would be cool in VR when hand tracking becomes the norm.
  22. This seems like a no brainer and not too complicated to implement
  23. Yep...I experienced a similar issue. Does it happen with outer planes or just the hornet?
