Win 10 only has until 2025 and then all MB's have to have TPL and My Maximus VII Formula does not, so I cant use win 11. I like My Corsair ATX case and already have a corsair 1050 PSU, and My EVGA 2080Ti is fine. Going back 4 years ago with 2 watercooled GTX 680's, I was able to run My PC at over 5Ghz and now it always crashes if I go over 4.8 I won the lottery when it came to My devils canyon and what I should be asking instead of writing all of the above is: Is the speed of a new CPU more important for running DCS 2.7 and future versions rather then the number of CORES ? I thought DCS only uses 2 cores, one for sound and one for graphics ? If speed of CPU is the best thing for DCS rather then number of cores would the above KF or K version be ok, and would a series 11 rather then a series 10 be better or should I just save the money as DCS has had many years to update to Direct X 12 and never did so. I know Vulkan or whatever new thing is called may replace DX12, and I am sorry I don't know this info. Thank You so much, this has been driving Me crazy. I know with the F18 and Anti ship Harm, not all of them always hit the ship, but when a Slam flies over a target and Ive tried to do correct ground height that I am doing something very wrong. I appreciate the help very much !!! Mike

800 KBps when the PC says 6.8 Mbps Ti took Me a day and a half to download a new version of 2.7 beta. Are there ports or something I can do to get better DL speeds ? Thank You for Your help Clear Skies Mike

I just had this show up as well.

Over the years I have had my share of problems with My PC. When I look at the "Content I started" area, its hard to believe so many years and so many problems. I cloned My 120 gig SSD C drive to a 1TB SSD, and somehow it changed DCSW from D drive to H drive and the computer says H drive is in rubbish and would I like to empty. It would take Me 7 days of 24/7 to DL everything I have on that one SSD. I run GUI updater and then try repair and clean and it does nothing, comes back with "File is not in Database". I can open up the folder and see all of the files, but it wont let me copy to anywhere. I am including a log, and hope that someone can please help Me. If someone would be so kind as to make a tutorial using Your voice to explain how to get the Slam-ER to not fly over the target ? what would be really helpful for Me is to upload it as a Track File to the DCS Download/Users area, and I could listen and follow instructions and try to emulate them. I could "Take Control" and learn to use this after so many hours of trying. I have watched all of the YouTube videos and none of them help Me. I am a retired Vet and have all the time in the world to learn, but the training area of DCS does not even seem to have any new F16 or F18 weapons systems. I know that tons of people post Youtube tutorials but many just leave Me frustrated. The new Slam-ER is one of them. I wish that while in DCS, that the "TRAINING" area would be updated with the new F-16 and F-18 weapons. ( Also the Marianas Islands and F4U Corsair are at the very top of that list ) Clear Skies Everyone and keep the shiny side up !

I always run out of fuel. will carrying extra tanks help, or slow me down because of more weight and drag ?

Asus Maximus VII Formula Motherboard Intel i7-4790K OC to 4.8@1.30V 39C ( this is where I run it as even though its water cooled, its not good to OC too much all the time. GSkill F3-2400C10D-16GTX CL 10-12-12-31 1.65V (4) 8 gig = 32 gigs total I cut a hole in the MB so the bios battery can be easily replaced, nothing worse then having to take the entire MB out and remove the armor. That was a very poor decision that Asus ROG made. I hit gold with the CPU lottery, as mine can hit 5ghz ! I want to sell it as a bundle and not break it up. Make me an offer and I will take the best one.

Thanks again Flappie !!!!! I turned off the OC and it never has a problem. I will do what You suggested and now I know where to look thanks to Your help.

dcs.log-20210509-214004.zip Well I did everything that You asked of Me Flappie, and for the most part, I have not had any problems using DCS. This time I did overclock my GPU, so I don't know it that caused anything to go wrong. I just purchased the P47 Wolfpack campaign and had just started up the engine for the 1st mission and it crashed. All of Us with problems sure are lucky to have someone like You to help us read the logs and inform Us of what is going on. I build and water cool my PC, but I just have a very hard time understanding different problems with OS ( win 10 pro ) and things that go wrong. I played for 35 minutes or so, and the only problem I had was not closing my cowling and the engine shut down. I was lucky to be near an airfield and landed and tried for a long time to play catchup, and just as I got near my 3 plane group, the engine shut down again. while I have a lot to learn and read, it felt so good to at least fly with AI instead of being alone like normal. It will be interesting to find out if the last crash of DCS was caused by the OC of the GPU or what. Thanks

I do not think the english cockpit mod works in 2.7 I hope they come out with one soon. thanks

Mine was set to Normal, so nothing has changed.

I do not mean to Crash this party, but My pc has crashed three times in a row sense the new update. I hope this can help to figure out why. One other thing I noticed, the surface of the water is now very hard to tell where it is, and I did crash once into the water. Strange that no waves were present and it seemed calm like glass with reflections of the clouds in the sky. thanks for taking a look !! I did send the other 2 crashes to DCS, but wanted to do this third one somewhere where someone could tell me if its my DXDIAG or what is wrong with My PC ? just upgraded to 2.7 OB, and it will not let me fly the P47 at all..... Veteran or client.

Well I bought MSFS2020 and it took Me 3 days to download 170GIGS at 5-7 MBps. Right now I am DL'ing 2.7 at 700KBps like normal. why do people in the US seem to get such slow bad speeds ? Are We downloading this from Russia ? You know tons of people are downloading 2.7 as it was just released today..... so Your theory about more peers and a faster download cant be true..... I know peers are listed on some torrent sites, but I am not familiar with DCS and if they use PORTS that can be changed to help DL speeds ?
