indexing info Thank You for that info.... I used the 1tb SSD to do a backup of win 10 and its only 113 gigs. I then tried to make the backup on the 1 tb the C drive and it wont let me. I ordered a TP-Link load balancing router and will hook up My wifes and My modem/routers and get twice the DL speed ! Thanks Rudel_chw

I don't understand why it would repair to C drive when DCS is on F and J ? Well that explains why all the updates don't work is there a way that I can change that ? I used to have everything on the one TB drive and when I did a OS update I lost everything. I then heard that a smaller HD for C drive would allow for much faster actions when the OS is running as it takes it less time to search for things. What if I changed the DCS saved game folders to the 1 TB drive ??? well if You looked at my photos, You will see the GUI updater was messed up. Says I have one version and wont update or repair. Now my new download starts out at 8 megs per second, and goes down to 320 KBPS an hour later. It will take me a day and a half just to get one map and two planes, then I have to DL all the maps and planes and that will take another day or so. I live way out in the country and internet is slow, and frontier does not throttle or cap downloads. I usually have no problems and after not having My Pc for a month as I was upgrading parts and waiting for coolant and tubing to arrive. It felt so great to fly for a few days and not just watch others on Youtube. Thank You for Your help Mike

utility will not update DCS, says up to date On Slot #2 something is weird. If I try to use the updater app it says I am up to date. If I use the admin cmd prompt, it allows Me to update to 2.5.6.47404 If I try to do a repair, it will take two days at 400 kbps. I will post a screen save and log file. The DOWNLOAD section of DCS has tons of stuff from me trying 3 times to update it using the cmd prompt. I have slot one as my main dcsw play folder and slot two as a backup. Now slot two wont load dcs and even going directly into the file and hitting RUN wont load it. Hope this can all be fixed somehow and any help would be much appreciated. I am sorry that no one is helping You. I have a lot of problems too where I can fly the Dora in version 47224, but its not listed in mods or coremods, so I cant go in and change anything. I am downloading version 47404 right now. Had to use the Admin prompt to do it, as it kept saying My 47224 was up to date using the GUI updater. good luck and hope someone with more knowledge comes and helps You. Clear Skies Mike

I can go on 2.5.6.47224 and the Dora is listed. I can fly the Dora. When I go into core mods or mods, the dora is not listed. I wanted to install a english cockpit mod, but the dora is not listed anywhere to do so..... Any help with this would be much appreciated. Years ago, there was a great mod that the guy who made it got kicked off of DCS and now its not available.

************ FINALLY********** Everything is working great now and I want to thank all of the people who helped Me getting things back to normal. My pc was down for a whole month, waiting for water cooling parts and tubing and I finally was able to get it running. I live up on a mountain and am lucky to have any internet, but My download speeds are about 400 KBPS and I just spent two days downloading Ver 41962 to 47224. I have two SSD drives with DCS Beta on both ( back up is good ) and I was almost finished with the download and I was playing DCS on the other SSD when I hit some weird buttons and it stopped the DL and asked me if I wanted to try the other type..... HTTP VS Torrent or whatever, and I said no. Is there anything I could have done ??? had I said yes to the update using the other function, I thought it would make me start over from the beginning and so I had hoped that I could just go back to updater GUI utility and pick up where I left off ? So I just ran DCS on 1st slot SSD and on the far right side, it did say 47224, so at least I have one updated version. The other SSD says version 41962, so the almost finished update failed. When I checked the GUI Util, it wont update and says 41371 and not 41962 I am doing a repair, so another two days and I bet it will say 41962 is fine but I cant update to newest one. Any help would be much appreciated. Sure does feel great to fly again instead of just going on Youtube and watching others !!!! **************************************************************************************************************************** I can only imagine how much it cost for electricity to run My PC for two days to download something. Well I have been anticipating the release for awhile now, but of course I ended up changing the coolant and tubing on my PC 3 weeks ago and now My D5 Vario Pump is not functioning properly and the new pump and Reservoir I ordered from Amazon will not be here until thursday or friday. I am using a 2010 Mac Mini to go online so I cant even load DCS on the 1tb HD and download the 2.6.? update when it does come out. You guys and girls are lucky to be able to do so and with the virus going around, computer parts are not coming in from China and the prices have been going up and up. Well I guess this is the place to ask... I have asked on the forum and was told that the tail hook would not work on a carrier. It was meant to be used at the very end of a runway as a failsafe if the brakes failed. So I would like to have the tail hook be able to go up and down and at least one runway that has the ability to use the tail hook. Thank You for having a wish list area. My PC has been down for 4 weeks now as I took everything apart to change the coolant and tubing. I am still waiting for parts as the FLU has made shipping very slow. My pc is now down, as I am replacing tubing and coolant for GPU, MB, and CPU. In VR only, I get that " Static 1 " on My screen too !!! A BIG Thank You to BIGNEWY for letting us know it will be fixed soon.

The hook is there, and a lever in the cockpit to lower it, but it does not function. It would be lotsa fun to try !!!!

Then why did they put a tail hook on the F16 if its not designed to use one ? Well I looked it up: They had a hook to engage a departure or arrival end barrier in case of ANTISKID FAIL or loss of brake pressure. You were right !

The P51 versions have a lot of reflections as well, default is with Sun high in the sky, I guess I will try early morning and late afternoon to see if it makes a difference.

2.5.5.41926 the F2 and switching planes works fine. I have DCS world open beta on two HD's and dcs on one HD. Here is a trk of it working today that I made. just shows being able to switch planes. So to me, this means that the problem is the newest beta version ! I really appreciate so much, all of the time and effort that You all have put in to help me, but at least I know now that I can play older dcs versions until this is fixed. Clear Skies to You all !!!!! ************************************************************************* Leap Year day= Last night because of better graphics in 2.5.6 I wanted to test out some anti ship missiles with the F18 and only did one plane as I knew I could not use F2 and Rt alt + to get into another plane, but after awhile, I decided to do the Blue nose bastard or what ever its called campaign, and instead of the mustang on the ground I saw planes flying around. neither F1 nor F3 would show Me on the ground ready to take off to follow 1st mission. When that happened, I hit F2 and it showed me different planes. I hit rt alt + and I was in a Spitfire !!!! Was not able to play the campaign, but F2 and rt alt + DID WORK !! I think this is more crazy as time goes by. F2 works in older dcs.trk

I did a cleanup and repair using skatezilla as when I pressed left shift and right clicked on Mouse, My screen did not look like yours on Your Youtube video BigNew

You are right Shadow KT, I do not see My planes in F10 just the Map I did a reset of th keyboard default category and it did not change the F2 not working. I do not know where to look to find any more info about My plane view only except LCtrl + F2 NS430 is the only mod but I thought I would let You know. I downloaded the cleanup script but it does not seem to work for me. I am running the dcs updater utility by Skatezilla and have done a repair and the log files say nothing changed. autoupdate_log.txt
