F14 comma (was an error) MEANT COMMS are bugged in MP
JupiterJoe replied to sublime's topic in Bugs and Problems
You're using (default) 'Right Alt' and '\' (ARC -159), or 'Right Ctrl' and '\' (ARD 182) to bring up the comms menu, yes? If you just use '\' it doesn't work. '\' is for easy comms only I think. -
+1

I'm a noob, but something's up with the targeting. My RIO is all over the shop since the patch.
-
Perhaps this is related: Before the patch I had come to use full flaps when launching from a carrier. Whenever I did the roll rate was a lot more sluggish than when just using manoeuvring flaps, presumably because of increased drag. This had the desired effect of making the aircraft more forgiving just after launch, rather than 'twitchy'. Now it's the same whichever flap position you use. The plane now has a curious lack of air resistance/dragless/frictionless feel to it. I'm a noob, but know something's different. It felt a lot more realistic before. EDIT: My curves! When the controls were reset, so were my curves. My bad :smilewink:

A little heads-up, 'All your controls are reset for A & B' in the patch notes would have been nice. I didn't know a way of getting them back at the time and so have had to redo them all :wallbash:

Is it possible to use the Lantirn pod and GBU's exclusively from the pilot's seat, via the Jester menu? If not, will that functionality be added in today's patch? The whole point of the Jester menu is to simulate a RIO and jumping between seats spoils immersion somewhat. Was the launching of GBU's done exclusively from the RIO's seat in real life? Doesn't seem likely. We should at least be able to ask Jester to show us the Lantirn feed on the pilot's VDI and ask to designate certain targets.

For me the Supercarrier takes upwards of a minute to load the bitmaps from a grey model. This spoils immersion somewhat. Yes I have a powerful enough computer.

Easy Comms is still not working.
-
Easy comms is no longer working for me. What am I doing wrong (apart from not learning how to work the radio properly)? Radio will not auto tune to correct frequency in my Cold-start Campaign.
-
I adjusted the page file settings and it had no effect. When the game loads you're faced with the map screen and in the top right corner it says 'Your flight is delayed...', for about 10 secs. Once on the carrier deck it takes a full forty secs to a minute to populate. I have learned to pause the game whilst this happens so I don't miss anything. This only happens with the Super Carrier, so perhaps this belongs in that thread.

Thank you Draconus. I shall play with texture settings. What is a page file?

GeForce 980 Ti 6144 MB GDDR5 Intel i7 - 8700k CPU @ 3.70 GHz 16 Gig RAM Is this the problem?
-
When the campaign loads, there's a message in the top right, that says: 'Your flight is delayed'. Then when you spawn the game slows to a crawl and takes about a minute for the Super Carrier graphics to populate. Is this the same for everyone with the Super Carrier at the moment?

First time using SRS today and I want to thank Stufly (JTAC) for his guidance and patience. You sir are a gent. -
Phil sent me here :) +1 A much needed addition to make low light levels more playable.

I was hoping the latest patch would sort the F-14's lights out. The formation lights are non-existent, the landing light's too dim etc. Is it just me, or is this a known issue?
-
I'd like to join a squadron, but immediately being railroaded into downloading an unfamiliar app rather put me off. It has the whiff of a pyramid scheme about it. Which is a little ironic, given your logo.

Thank you for your feedback. I am not able to lock a ground target whilst sitting in the RIO seat. Does someone know the procedure for this? When I press full-action on the HCU, the camera re-centres. It's most likely me being dull. :helpsmilie: Edit: I am just watching one of Cap's (Grim Reapers) videos, relating to TCS. That might show me what I'm doing wrong... Edit 2: Okay, it's a matter of selecting Computer Target in A/G mode, from the Pilot's seat and slewing the target designator down and selecting a target. Silly me.
-
Can someone please explain to me if it is possible to manually lock the TCS onto a ground target (a building, a tank, whatever) from the RIO's seat and then jump into the Pilot's seat and see the TCS tracking the target? I swear I was able to do it before, but the camera just re-centres every time I press full action. It's driving me potty! Thank you.

Just found another thread for this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270044 It has been reported and a repair is in the works.

My god, I thought I was losing my mind! Thank goodness. I already started another thread unfortunately. This thread should have been pinned, so it was easy to see.

Been trying to auto carrier land and for some reason the glide slope is super low. I set-up the Stennis as data-link host, tune tacan, set ACL auto-pilot and ACL steering command, but the glide slope line on the HUD is too low. I have returned to trying to fly the F-14B, after a hiatus, so possibly I've missed something. It didn't used to be a problem. I've watched tutorial videos. Has something changed? AM I calculating the Carrier heading correctly? In this case the carrier is heading 097 degrees on the Caucuses map, so I should be on a course of 81 degrees to intercept the glide-slope and localizer beam? I am out about 25 miles when I turn in and at about 6000 feet. I have to fly down to under 1500 feet before the glide slope line will start to come up, even at 20 miles out. What's up with that?

Resolved. Thanks everyone.

Why is Assistance set to 100, despite the slider being set to zero in-game? The auto rudder is also in full effect, despite it saying 'false'. ["P-51D"] = { ["assistance"] = 100, ["CPLocalList"] = "default", ["autoRudder"] = false, }, -- end of ["P-51D"]
